Relaxing Staycation at the Beeline Guest House in Pine. Huge suites, very clean, with a private jacuzzi and fireplace. The hosts Cyndi and Vince were friendly and accommodating. It was an easy walk to the town of Pine and we had lots of great meals, drinks, and fun with the locals. A quick hike to the Pine Trail head was exactly what we both needed to get back to nature. We both look forward to staying again when it's hot here in Phoenix.

What a gem! The innkeeper, Patrick, made us feel right at home from the start. He gave us a tour upon arrival, and the home is so lovely, I even remarked that the pictures online don't do it justice. Each of the rooms has a theme. We stayed in the Iris room, which was spacious with a seating area and direct access to the back balcony with a breathtaking view of the mountains. There is also a staircase off the balcony so you have the option to exit or enter that way if you don't want to walk through the house. The evening of our arrival, Patrick offered to take us to see the Elk who come out to graze just before sundown. A very classy personal touch. Our first morning, we had breakfast with a couple from the Phoenix area who were only staying one night, and it was so nice to sit at the dining table and share our personalized breakfasts, delicious coffee and Patrick's famous breakfast bread! (To die for!!!). The second morning, he made us the blue-berriest of pancakes I've ever tasted! Chock full of delicious blueberries, they even squirted out blueberry juice at my Mom, who was sitting next to me. It was a good laugh for us all. The Beeline Guest House is a perfect place to escape the heat in summer and unwind for a few days. The breeze that comes through when you sleep with the windows open, and the fresh, clean air...a slice of heaven. I only wish we could've stayed a few days more. Next time I visit, I'll definitely stay for 3 or 4 nights.

The view off the second story back deck outside the Ponderosa Room. We sat outside for hours with our books and coffee.

Clear skies with little light infiltration by night allow you to see the Milky Way and thousands more stars than in more populous places. Trails around the cabin will let you hike, bike, or drive through nature, admiring trees, flowers, birds (like the beautiful, red vermilion flycatcher) and if you're lucky, a bugling elk or few. Sit by the pond and listen to the bullfrogs, watch the hummingbirds, listen to the cows that might be sharing the ranch with you. Just don't forget to close the gates! The ranch managers, Cindy and Mike, will provide you with a comfortable cabin, clean and fully-appointed for your needs. They're attentive should you need anything but will otherwise grant you the privacy a mountain cabin retreat should offer. Open the shades for some wonderful views; the windows for some country-fresh air; or light a fire in the fireplace for some romantic evenings in. They can also provide you with plenty of info for things to do in Young and the nearby areas. Are you into wine? Visit the local vineyard and winery for a tasting. Stop into the local diner for a wonderful home-style meal. Into off-roading or horseback riding? Talk to Cindy and Mike, they can point you in the right direction for some adventure. the available Wifi is convenient in a pinch for those who want to stay connected some... but here at the Ranch, set the tech aside (unless it's a camera) and get out for a sunrise walk or a sunset brew.

On our first morning, we arrived at the restaurant around 10:45 a.m. and were told breakfast service was ending. Our only options were to wait for lunch or try room service, which wasn't guaranteed. This was especially frustrating given how far our room was from the dining area. We asked the front desk if we could place a room service order without returning to our room. Although the concierge tried to help, no one followed up for about 15 minutes. While our server was kind, the manager, Ryan, made no effort to resolve the situation or take accountability. Despite the dining area being nearly empty, we were told we could not be seated and had to take our breakfast to go. Hoping for better service the next day, we ordered room service again and were told the wait would be one hour. Our food arrived an hour and twenty minutes later. We were also told the Duck Pond pool was open 24 hours, but when we arrived it was dark, unattended, covered in dirty towels, and had no clean towels available, giving the impression it was closed. While the setting is stunning, the disorganization and lack of service significantly impacted our stay.

This little gem in Young, AZ is complete with unique & cozy accommodations with amazing views and, of course, Robin and Karla. My boyfriend and I were invited by a good friend & there were 7 of us total. No particular agenda or specific plans were made for this little trip, but we were plenty occupied and engaged the entire time. We stayed in the Saloon/Guesthouse (which Robin built, by the way!) and it was plenty of space for everyone. Upon arriving Saturday morning, we met Robin & Karla and proceeded to unload our vehicles. After that, we spend some time observing their horses and soaking in the beautiful weather. Robin & Karla were filling us in on some of the history of the area. I could listen to them talk for DAYS. They're such great storytellers and their passion for digging into the past in an effort to preserve it is really admirable. After about a hour or so, Robin took us out into the woods.. Not sure exactly where we went, but he hopped on his quad and we followed behind (caravan of SUVs & pickup trucks). The road was windy and bumpy and we got some weird looks from the cattle as we blazed passed. We spent a few hours hiking down to some water while Robin filled us in on more history. Some of us panned for gold, others explored the area (found an abandoned mine) or fired some rounds nearby. It was a nice, relaxing morning. We went back to the Inn around 130p and Robin started showing us how to rope. A couple of us gave it a shot.. I didn't. I just stood back & took photos :) Then around 330p, we went up the road to a winery for a tasting (Bruzzi Vineyard.. I'll review separately). We returned a couple hours later with several bottles of wine and started cooking/grilling dinner. Robin & Karla joined us for dinner and conversation in the saloon. We played pool & had a very relaxing evening. Sunday morning didn't really have much on the agenda. After breakfast, Robin & Karla took us up the road to the Hogland General Store and gave us a tour of the structures on the land. Again, more information about the history and the people that lived in Young years ago. It was all very interesting. We will definitely be back & hope to have time for a longer stay.

I ordered a Reuben sandwich with pastrami and can definitively state that this is the best Reuben I have had in my 68 years on the planet! The pastrami was lean and juicy, just enough kraut and dressing PLUS the marbled rye bread wasn't greasy or soggy as some contenders for this title were in the past. The side order of homemade potato chips balanced things out nicely. I've gotta admit though, the iced tea almost stole the show. I am somewhat an iced tea addict and their combination of black teas and fresh mint just about blew my mind. I had four refills! My wife had their veggie quiche with chips and found it equally memorable. The price for lunch was about what I usually expect to pay for dinner but it was truly worth it. The pleasant surroundings complimented the food and the waitress for our table was an absolute delight despite my running her back and forth to fetch me more iced tea! These sandwiches were like if I asked my little brother to make me one. It was ridiculous and way overpriced BLTA $18 two tiny pieces of avocado on the end. The only thing that was good and fresh was the bread everything else was basic nothing special. Also ordered the croissant, chicken salad sandwich. The croissant was good, but it was flat and looked like it was the end of the weeks bread. Again, $18 for the sandwich you would think that you would get a beautiful delicious croissant that was big and fresh but this looks like the size of a dinner roll and flatten down and they put grapes in their chicken salad which I am not a fan of. Absolutely nothing special about the sandwiches, way overpriced you would be better off going to Subway and that's pretty bad. Our entire wedding weekend was truly magical. One of the biggest highlights is that you get all 14 cabins on-site for your guests, which makes the experience feel like a private mountain retreat with all your favorite people. Waking up in the morning and seeing wildlife, elk and deer roaming the property was such a special touch that you just can't get anywhere else. The property itself is breathtaking from every angle. The new ceremony overlook site is absolutely stunning, offering views that make your "I do" moment feel unreal. And the string lights that stretch from cabin to cabin and over the dance floor completely transform the space at night. It's magical, warm, and gives off that perfect cozy Hallmark movie vibe. They also provide a super helpful wedding portal for communication. It lays out a clear timeline of all the tasks that need to be completed, each with a deadline, which makes it so easy to stay on track and feel organized throughout the planning process. We used their recommended food vendor, Marcus at Gibson's Smokehouse, who was incredible--the food was amazing. We also had the best team of vendors who are familiar with the venue and with each other, which made everything run even smoother: Photographers: Spets Photography, Videographers: Bumblebee Photo Film, DJ: Javier at C-West Entertainment, Wedding Coordinator: DianaCatherineWeddings Each of them played such a huge role in making the venue shine and bringing our day to life. Another huge perk is that you can bring in most of your own vendors, giving you the flexibility to create the exact wedding you want. The owners (Rick, Amanda & Jason), who live on-site, are incredibly kind, welcoming, and available 24/7 if needed. They walk around during the wedding to ensure everything is running smoothly, and their presence adds such a comforting and supportive touch. Our guests couldn't stop talking about how beautiful the venue was and how much fun they had. It was seriously the best day ever. We couldn't have envisioned a more perfect wedding from the location, to the setup, to the people who made it all happen. If you're looking for a magical, scenic, cozy, and unforgettable place to get married, this is the place to have your wedding. Highly, highly recommend!- Megan & Cierra
