While I called to reschedule with plenty of notice, Karen mailed me a $50 cancellation fee bill. I will never go back to her as I receive zero help to begin with, let alone be charged for canceling with plenty of notice "per her policy." I also informed by doctor about this and he stated he will no longer send referrals to Karen.

Honestly this did not sound appealing, but we decided to go with it anyways. It was our favorite of the week. The flavors were bursting. It seemed like a fusion of Mexican and Mediterranean and we loved it! The textures we're interesting and mouthwatering. The spinach, chicken and avocado provided a complex medley of different flavors and mouth feel. The next week we had another odd ball on the menu. Strawberry chicken with balsamic? That sounded strange. We again almost discontinued this order and went with a different order however by this point Jessica definitely earned our trust as an outstanding person and chef. This again was our favorite meal of the week. The blender flavor is quite unique with the fruit mixed with the acidity of the balsamic which marinated perfectly into the chicken thighs. Someone recommended that I contact the Alma Clinic and meet with Sonia, the nurse practitioner there and I arranged the meeting. My impression of Sonia was that she was kind and wanting to help me in any way that she could. I could see that she was busy with her practice but she was willing to give me as many hours as I needed so that I could graduate on time. Over the coming months, I spent a lot of time with her; learning from her, observing her with her patients and I was very impressed. She loves her patients and works very hard to accommodate them and all of their needs. Sonia and her team are very invested in the best outcomes for their patients and truly making a difference in our community. Early on, I could tell that she has a heart for our large hispanic community that is often underserved and I loved that she has founded her clinic on helping others and making a difference.
