Dr.Althoff had been my daughter's pediatrician since birth. I can say with full confidence that he is one of the best parental decisions I have made. He takes the time with your child and answers all questions, even if it is just a new mom nervous question. My daughter is in high school and he talks with her about her health and overall life and then confirms I have nothing to add. He is amazing!! I highly recommend him and his office staff. read more

Dr. Dory has been my daughter's pediatrician for eight years. She is an extraordinary physician who genuinely cares about my child, as she always takes the time to thoughtfully listen to and respond to any questions or concerns and follows up. She is very knowledgeable and experienced but is also willing to coordinate with specialists when needed. I also appreciate that she is a mom of young children, so she can relate to parenting challenges with kindness, humor, empathy, and patience. I admire her solution oriented approach and how she always takes into consideration the whole child. I could not imagine a better doctor for my child. We are very thankful for her care! read more

This review will be specific for 3 key players in this office; Front desk - very responsive, very informational and top of their game Dr. Dory - she's been my son's doctor for 8 years and has always been empathetic, professional and very communicative. Truly the best I've seen. The nurse that helped us last week - 0 stars. My son and I were getting the flu and COVID shot and right from the get go, my son was scared from the very beginning to which Dr. Dory was very emphatic about and made sure to ensure it was a safe space for my son to get his shots. The nurse on the other hand was so fast to say 'I will get a bigger person to hold you down' as my son was so scared to get his shots. Additionally 'I have a lot of other people to see' to which provided such an unsafe space to an 8 year old. Also added, 'if he is going to hurt you or me, I won't do it'. Never a reassurance or attempt to make a safe space. My son and I left, went and got brunch and got his flu shot at Sam's club! The clinician here provided a professional, safe space to my son and he took the shot with little anxiety and no crying. As a clinician myself and having my very best friends as nurses, I am left astounded about the bad experience and even thinking of going to a different provider because of this nurse. As a pediatric nurse, no empathy or safe space was given to my son. read more

Dr. Sorensen is the absolute best! I cannot say enough great things about her! I didn't really know what to expect when establishing a pediatrician for my first son, but when I met Dr. Sorensen I knew my son would be in great hands. She's very professional, friendly, and personable. I love how she interacts with my son and makes him feel comfortable during doctor visits. Her assistant, Sandra, is equally great! When I had my second son a few months ago she was the acting pediatrician at the hospital and was so helpful answering all of my questions regarding his health issues after birth. The office is located next to St. Mary's on Arlington. There's plenty of parking in the garage. Pro tip- if you find a spot on the 2nd floor, snag it! It makes it easy to enter the building using the walkway. read more

Dr.Dory and her office are truly amazing. Kind and accommodating with a worried new set of parents. Scheduling is very efficient and easy and I have not had a long wait in the office when I arrive. There is a separate area for new babies vs all the other kids. The office itself is very cute with toys for young kids in the waiting area. Everything is very clean and the exam rooms are spacious enough for both parents to be i. The appointment if need be. One thing I truly love is the online parent resources. It helps give a lot of ideas of where your baby should be with development and helps to know when to worry and when not to. Overall 100/10 would recommend! read more

If I could give less than one star I would. After being with this practice for more than 13 years with multiple children we have inexplicably been dropped. Meaning my children are left with no doctor to speak of. What kind of practice does such a thing when you have questions about a bill and request them to send you an actual statement to your address. We have always paid our bill. Not only was I hung up on regarding my inquiry, but I was told I was rude and inappropriate for asking for the last name of the office manager so I could contact them with my inquiry. I also was told by Baily the billing person, who hurled repeated insults my way, that I could look it up when asking for even the address. No one else from this office did I speak with for them to leave my children abruptly without a doctor after all these years!!! I would not recommend this practice anymore. The doctors that my family went to for almost 30years are gone and with them I guess went the actually caring for patients. Very sad day, run don't walk away from them; obviously, they do not care about the health and wellbeing of children to do this to them!!! Please pass this information to anyone considering using them. read more

The doctors are always well researched and sympathetic. Over 18 years and with all 3 of my kids, we have only seen another doctor three times. Some providers might be good, but do not use Dr. Althoff. He has missed a critical diagnosis, despite our concerns and repeat attempts to find a solution. He is not up to date on current guidelines and is putting young patients at risk. read more

I have been at Pediatric Associates for the last 19 years. While insurance has changed throughout the years, I have been lucky that this practice has always accepted the insurance that I have had and I have never had to change. I have never had a problem here. More than that, I have never left this office, feeling anything but well loved and cared for and supported with my children. They guarantee to see your child on the day at illness presents itself and if your doctor is not currently working that day, they will get you in with one of their other amazing pediatricians. We started here for Dr. Zucker and when he retired, we transferred to Dr. Sorenson at the most perfect time as my girls transition through puberty. She is absolutely phenomenal and I feel very grateful for her every time we see her. read more

I like the doctors kind of. My son had just turned two and the doctor is already referring me to a speech specialist. could you give my son a chance...one time I missed my sons appointment so they bill me $35. Yes it takes me a while to get to paid because I'm a single mom I'm broke as hell all right life is expensive I'm trying to make sure my kid doesn't starve and I don't get him taken away, well they add $159 on there and they say they're going to remove it cuz it's a mistake so every time I go make a payment I can't make a $35 payment I have to make a minimum of this type of payment, so because I'm actually busy all day. I don't have time to call them and ask them to you know do their job and take it off again like they said they would so instead I'm just gonna get sent to collections and then I'm not gonna be able to go to that doctors anymore, because they were throwing a fit about me not showing up to an appointment then Charge me. Thanks for trying to take food of my babies plate, and I will dispute that because I did not steal any services from you and you did nothing for me. You charge me for not showing up try to say oh I took away money from you. You are the medical field you make money all the time... read more

My kid went to Dr. Tatem. My kid had pink eye so we went to Dr. Tatem. He looked in my kids ears to make sure everything was ok. My kid started crying because my kid doesn't like things in my kids ear. He started yelling at my kid, "Why are you acting like that?" My kid explained to him my kids ears are sensitive. He then yelled at my kid again, "Why are you acting like that?" My kid would push away his arms when he tried to look in my kids ears. He then told my to sit on my kids hands. My kid was still crying after we left the office and kept saying mommy that doctor is mean. He has no business being a pediatric doctor. I will never go to this doctor again. read more

After my first born, I was unhappy with another local pediatric practice, so I came in and got established with Dr. Tatem. Now both my boys see him and I couldn't be happier. He is always so thorough, professional and sweet with my infant and toddler. They remodeled the office soon after we started going to them, and it is so beautiful! The staff are always so friendly, kind and accommodating. I have a hunch that the only reason they are not averaging 5 stars is because no one else wants to share their wonderful doctors! read more

She shares medical advice, data, struggles she sees, and her parenting experience so we may consider any known and unknowns to make the best decisions for our kids' health. I appreciate when she sits with us and allows for time to discuss hot topics and gives us clues of what growth stages the kids are in and what to expect next. Dr Althoff has been my sons doctor since he was a few months old, he's now 13. Doc is always kind and he talks to him throughout the entire visit about school and hobbies. He takes the time to listen our concerns and is quick to offer solutions and remedies. I truly feel like he's got our kids best interest at heart. The front desk is great about getting you checked in quickly and keeping everything on time. They always go above and beyond to find appointments that fit our crazy schedule.
