After bringing my son to this practice for 8 years and my daughter for 6 years, I was very disappointed to be dismissed as a patient family with no notice. The reason was that I chose a slower vaccine schedule and apparently was not moving fast enough to meet the practice's expectations. Regardless of their policy, I expected better communication and a direct conversation after so many years of care. Instead, I received a letter in the mail informing me that we were no longer patients. The lack of notice and abrupt dismissal after years of loyalty felt impersonal and unprofessional. read more

We love Pinecone! All the providers are wonderful and we can always get in for a same day sick appointment. You won't necessarily see your primary for that, but the availability is a huge plus. You can tell everyone genuinely cares about the kids here too. Can't recommend this practice enough! read more

We had a very concerning experience with Carolyn while scheduling a pediatric appointment for our daughter. During a phone call to verify insurance, the staff member began asking questions about our family structure that were irrelevant and inappropriate. My partner and I are a same-sex couple and our daughter was conceived through IVF. Despite explaining this, the staff member repeatedly asked who the "biological mom" was, referred to one of us as a "step mom," and asked where the "biological dad" was. Our daughter has two mothers. There is no father involved. She is insured through one of her mothers' employer-sponsored health plan, which should have been the only information needed to confirm coverage. Instead of simply verifying insurance, the conversation turned into questioning the legitimacy of our family. This was uncomfortable, unnecessary, and frankly unacceptable in a pediatric healthcare setting. Families come in many forms, and medical offices should be equipped to interact respectfully with all of them. At minimum, staff should understand that children can have two mothers and that insurance verification does not require probing questions about a "biological father." I hope the practice leadership reviews this interaction and provides staff with better training so that other families--especially LGBTQ+ parents--do not have the same experience when trying to access care for their child. read more

The whole experience is terrible. Receptionist's Have no manners. The Doctor is also not very professional . Never been a pediatrician like that ever. Hopefully they can change their attitude and improve service better in the future. read more

Dear Parents, As kids are a'growing up, they need regular oil-changes...I mean, check-ups and especially when they hang with other children, the need for frequent repairs... I mean, sick-visits to the pediatrician becomes more frequent. Kidding aside, pediatricians focus on kids' health for all the right reasons. The entire staff at Pinecone are great / solid Doctors and medical professionals. I'm most familiar with Drs Ishibashi and Sorenson, who I would let care for anyone I care for, but their focus on the care of children is wonderful to see. I have a bit of medical background, myself. and this just lets me know that they really know their art and craft of keeping kids healthy. I know better than to try to diagnose my own kids, I'm too emotionally involved. So I turn to these experts when the need arises. read more

Every doctor and nurse practitioner is wonderful here. Nurses and office staff are nice to. My children get the best care, and it is always timely. read more

Dr. Tammy is amazing! We have been seeing her for 7 years now and she is great with our kiddos and very friendly! We've never had any issues getting in with either sick or well kids and would highly recommend. read more

I can only echo the sentiments of many others, the doctors/medical staff are wonderful while the billing department is dreadful. The providers are timely, empathetic, and inclusive. We've had no problem getting in when are kids are sick. We feel very confident our kids are well taken care of. As mentioned by another user, the office policies are billing centered not patient centered. Frankly, as someone who did insurance billing for 10 years the guidelines the biller is following seem to be made up by her not industry guidelines. We got a call 6 hours before our sons 2 week old appointment letting us know we could not come in unless we paid for our visit out-of-pocket because our insurance had not finished processing our request to add him to my insurance. This office policy is asinine since the insurance needs the newborns SSN and it took the social security office 16 days to get us the number. They also need the birth certificate which can take up to 4 weeks. She claimed to worry about timely filing but my insurance allows up to 12 months from date of service. It adds undo stress onto parents of a brand new baby to meet these expectations and I can't imagine the stress it would add to someone on a tight budget. I will stay for now because of the amazing providers but I hope the office considers adopting more patient friendly billing policies that actually match industry guidelines. read more

Like many other reviewers here, I have ZERO complaints about the actual providers and most of the medical assistants as they have all been wonderful. They take the time to talk with me about any concerns and are always helpful, kind and compassionate when I have questions. The office staff however are rude, condescending and unhelpful. The office policies are not patient centered but are centered around billing. I just spoke with a woman named Colleen who was one of the rudest and most condescending people I have ever spoken with and my interactions with the other office staff over the past 6 years have not been much better. I have stayed with this practice solely because of the providers. While I understand they are running a business and certain protocol must be followed, a kind word and a little empathy can go a long way when a parent is distressed about their child. This will not be your experience when you call to schedule an appointment. I know good help is hard to find and I imagine they experience some turnover just like most businesses however, my hope is the staff is able to receive some support and/or training to better interact with families. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Stay away from this place if you need any extra understanding or empathy. I Have a child petrified of shots and visits and I called twice letting them know ahead of time and even from the road letting them know we would be late. We were 12 minutes late as it took two hours to get him there and they asked for us to reschedule once we arrived. Didn't care about ASD and the level of effort it took to get him there. Can't wait to find a new office with truly compassionate care and more professional receptionists and management. What a huge let down - We deserved a lot more respect than the rude attitudes we got. Yuk. read more

I want to start this with, if you don't go here already, you should. That's' simply it. We see Dr. Tammy and I don't have enough words to express my level of appreciation for her service to us. There is nothing more important to me than the health of my children, and I'm placing all of my trust in Dr. Tammy's hands, so that's a big deal. When I was pregnant and researching pediatricians and then subsequently interviewing them, Tammy was the only one who asked me questions back, who questioned some of the decisions I thought I was going to make and who offered me valid medical advice so that I could make a more informed decision. She is true to her knowledge, valued and beliefs despite what I may have thought and I appreciated that she wasn't telling me what she thought I wanted to hear, but rather what she thought I needed to hear. This is a quality that is priceless and vital. We as new parents are learning and if you get nothing more from this review, take this one piece of advice, find yourself a pediatrician who takes the time to knowledge share and help teach you. Tammy has always taken the time to talk with us at appointments, to help us communicate our concerns through her questions, to assure that we are doing best for our children and meeting their social, emotional and physical needs- that's right, her level of care goes beyond their physical needs! The whole practice is darling, from the themed rooms that are warm , lively and welcoming to help ease any nerves kids might have to the reception which has toys, books, magnets etc. or the nursing room for new mothers who may need a little extra help. This office has it all! All of the staff are kind and warm to kids and make it their job to keep kids comfortable and happy, I appreciate each one of them for that, even at shot appointments my kids have left happy because of this special trait. We are able to get into appointments same day when our children are sick, there is a pediatrician after hours care clinic that Pinecone is part of, and there is always one person on call for emergencies. This place is like nowhere else, it is a place that is helping raise my kids, that goes beyond just giving them shots and helping them when they are sick. read more

Pinecone Pediatrics is a great place to go as long as your kid doesn't actually get sick. While my son had no health problems, there was never a bad appointment in the office and they were friendly. Once my son started to get more colds due to his start at daycare as well as hitting other milestones, the issues with this office started to arise. Three times in a row I have brought my son in to get checked for an ear infection (he's had enough that I know the signs) and the doctor told me every time that he just had a cold and to wait it out. The next day, each time, I took him to Urgent Care and they immediately saw ear infections, sometimes in BOTH ears that should NOT have been missed by ANY doctor. When my son needed a referral for a speech therapist I had to go to the doctor who did his tube surgery to get a referral because the doctors at this place said it would be better to wait longer even though he was already significantly behind. This third time was enough for me, my son should not suffer in pain longer because the doctor doesn't do their job. I will not be returning; I will be taking my son to a doctor who will care if my son needs antibiotics or developmental services. read more

We love this Pediatric office. My kids, now 12 and 15, have been patients at PP for about 10 yrs. We have never had a bad experience. Our primary physician is Dr. Ishibashi, but we have seen all of them at one point or another over the years. They have all been attentive, kind and provided excellent care. My son is a child who is autistic and has needed special handling over the years. They have worked with him patiently and kindly. So much so that he often asks to share his victories and developmental milestones with them, because "Dr. Ishibashi will be so proud of me!". We left our original pediatrician, from another practice, when my kids were babies due to a traumatizing experience. We switched to Dr. Ishibashi and have never looked back. We even followed her when she moved her care to Pinecone Pediatrics. She is fabulous with both of my children, but it has been such a blessing to know that whey she isn't available, my kids feel safe and do not fear going to any of the other doctors or MA if needed. Pinecone Ped. for the win. read more

This office has some great Pediatricians but the experience is totally ruined by the unprofessional and rude office staff. They are totally unhelpful if you need an old receipt printed out or need shot records printed for your kids. They flat out wouldn't print a record for one of my kids that needed it to start kindergarten until We asked the Dr Tammy and she said that it wouldn't be a problem at all. The Pediatricians there need to do some housecleaning and fire all of the office staff and start fresh. read more

This practice came highly recommended from friends and family when I moved to the area, however I've only ever had mediocre experiences at best. The office staff is incredibly rude, the office policies are ridiculous and obviously money hungry. I can't warn you enough how rude and useless the front office staff have been these past two years. I don't feel as though my primary provider truly listened to me when I brought my daughters in for sick visits, and for checkups I felt rushed and dismissed. The providers overall were kind but were not thorough and frequently I got conflicting information from different providers. The MA hotline is never answered, and rarely will follow up on messages. Prior to Pinecone I saw the same provider and practice from my daughters birth until moving (5+ years) and never had an issue. I am not an unreasonable or difficult person but this practice has brought me to tears of anger, frustration and helplessness, I will not be bringing my children back. read more

I am so happy I took someone's recommendations and took my daughter to Pinecone Pediatrics. I've seen several doctors there and they are all amazing. However our daughter primarily sees Dr Sorenson, and she is the best Dr I have ever had the pleasure to meet. She is kind, gentle and so helpful. I absolutely love her. The office is clean and they have a designated sick room and a well room. Which I appreciate immensely! read more

No second chances here. In the process of changing jobs, moving from another state and trying to figure out the various new professionals to work with in a new community I missed our new patient meeting with Dr. Tammy. When I realized what had happened I called, apologized and tried to explain. To bad I was told rules are rules and if you no show your consult we won't work with you and your family. I believe in second chances especially when someone realizes there mistakes and is sorry. Further I was told that I was called and reminded of my consult. In all honesty I never received the reminder call. Seems they are very happy with their current patient load and are no longer looking for patients. read more

Such wonderful staff! They are gentle and loving with your baby. My daughter is always excited to see them. The office is very child friendly and they are always respectful to the children and parents and explain what they are going to do before they do it. They are so good at what they do that my daughter did not even notice they gave her shots because the nurse kept her too busy playing with her stethoscope. read more

I love Dr Roesler! As a new mother in a new area, I could not have chosen a better Pediatrician. My daughter developed jaundice the day we left the hospital and Tammi was very concerned and made special appts for us. Then my baby caught a cold which turned into RSV, Dr Tammi was extremely helpful and put my fears at ease. She is a very caring person which is transparent in her care. I highly recommend her! read more

We happened to find Dr. Ishibashi by accident but we are so happy we switched to her! My kids absolutely adore her. She is so sweet and gentle with them and you can tell she truly cares about her patients and she invests in them. One thing I love about this office is that we never have to wait long - something so unusual for a medical practice. I also like that they have a "sick" and a "well" waiting room. We have seen almost all the providers in this office and I can't say anything bad about any of them. I trust them taking care of my children. I highly recommend this office to anyone needing a pediatrician for their kids. read more

Pinecone Pediatrics has been a great place to take my kids. They have been a patient of Tammy Roesler since they were born. We have felt comfortable with her and the staff that work here and trust their work in diagnosing and treating our kids. The office is in a busy office complex off of S.McCarran that is fairly easy to get to and feels relatively safe when compared to some other offices. Just watch the little ones in the parking lot due to the traffic. (Normal parent concern with high energy kids) read more

Working in health care it is important that we feel our two children are receiving the best care possible. At Pinecone Pediatrics we know they are. You can tell that Dr. Tammy and Andrea are passionate about their profession. You are in important person at their office, not just a chart. Their facility is new, clean, fun for kids and the office staff are wonderful. I highly recommend this office if you want the best for your kids! read more

Dr. Tammy is extremely patient, pleasant, and passionate with her patients. As an RN, I wanted someone thorough. I shopped around to find a good fit, and I can't be happier. I constantly push my pregnant friends to at least talk to Dr. Tammy before they make a decision on pediatricians. She takes care of most of my friends' children, and many of them are in health care as well. With Andrea, she found a perfect compliment to her personality. The rest of the staff is also very nice and they add to the pleasant and happy atmosphere at her office. I am glad that I found such a wonderful office to take my daughter to. read more

I absolutely love Pinecone Pediatrics! When Dr. Tammy Roesler told us that she was starting her own practice, we were more than willing to follow! Not only is she amazing with our two boys, but she is even amazing to the whole family. We have been seeing Dr. Roesler for the past four years. When I found out that I was unable to breast feed with my first child, I was devastated. She would go out of her way to ensure that I was ok and make sure that I would come in to see her and talk about it. She has made personal calls to follow-up with our children and as a parent this truly means a lot! We feel like she truly cares about our children and our family health. Dr. Andrea is also wonderful! Sometimes you are not sure if you want your kids to see other Dr's when yours is not available, but at Pinecone Pediatrics, this is not the case. Dr. Andrea is so kind and always has a smile on her face. I appreciate that everyone there is extremely thorough when it comes to diagnosing. I feel like they all listen and nothing goes unlooked! You can also see that the building decor has had a lot of time and careful consideration put into it. They have a room designated for the well visits and an area for the sick. I know most places do this, but I really appreciate that these are separate areas. read more

Tammy Roesler has been our pediatrician for both kids and we love her. She is both holistic and scientific. She is patient and kind and so great with the kids and gives you lots of information at each appointment. This office tries to get you in and take care of you any time you need it. My kiddo has had a long history of illness and we always get in and are taken care of. We also love Dr. Andrea (forget her last name), she is wonderful and kind as well. Everyone in this office is wonderful and we love it! Nancy helped me when I had breastfeeding issues and was a huge help! She went out of her way to meet with me and make sure everything was good for my daughter. I am so happy! read more

We LOVE Dr Tammy! We have been with her since our first son was born 5 years ago and gladly came along when she opened her own practice! We now have 3 boys and they have been personable and awesome with all 3! We've been blessed to have pretty healthy kids but even on the rare sick occasion they get us in and I've always felt heard and taken care of! Dr Tammy has even gone above and beyond the call of duty for us! We were across the country in DE and she emailed back and forth with me with pictures about a prescription an urgent care doctor had prescribed my son for a rash that I was hesitant on giving him and answered all of my questions! She truly cares about her patience! As far as billing, we've always had good experience here as well. After my third son we had a sizeable bill that I had missed receiving(2 littles ones and a newborn makes you lose your mind a little.. haha) and they worked with me to get it taken care of asap! I would recommend this office to anyone! read more

Dr. Tammy goes above an beyond caring for our family. She is knowledgable, loving, and compassionate towards all 4 of our children. Dr. Tammy and her staff are amazing. My daughter has been a patient of Dr. Tammy since she was born. We have always been treated with respect and care. We don't get talked down to and things are clearly explained. My daughter had a ton of ear infections in her first 2 years of life and the staff would immediately squeeze us in to be seen. I have never had to wait for an appointment. If you are looking for a pediatrician who listens, is compassionate and truly cares, Dr Tammy is the one for you. read more

I loved my sons pediatrician in Carson, but when we moved to Reno I had find another. I tried 3 other pediatricians before I found Pinecone. The staff here are always friendly and on the several occasions I needed a same day appointment for one of my children, they have always been able to accommodate us. They have a well child waiting room and sick child waiting room. My only complaint is that Ive noticed sometimes they swap the waiting rooms. So the room that was once for sick children is now the well child side. Thats strange to me. But the doctors and nurses are all great. We primarily seem Dr. Roseler, but have also seen one of the others (cant remember her name) and Andrea is awesome as well. read more

Dr. Tammy Roesler and her staff is AWESOME! except may be the one time we got a male intern that needed to work on his toddler skills. Anyways I love this office. Staff upfront is nice and cordial. They have the waiting rooms split into sick and not sick so your kids don't pick up someone else's germs. Andrea (Not sure of her title, may be RN? *update* I checked her title-PNP 'Pediatric Nurse Practitioner') is very caring. Staff here loves Paris even when she doesn't want to cooperate with weigh ins and shots. My appointments are never cancelled (Unlike other medical offices that I go to). They also fit me in right away when Paris gets ill. Now I got a baby boy due soon. Let the fun begin. read more

Not to worry about the low rating, they don't need your business anyway. Full up. At capacity. No new patients. Unless they are 6 mos. old or younger? They tried to explain that to me but I still don't get it. I must be dim. I had reviewed the available Pediatricians under our new insurance plan, and chose this one as one of our finalists. I described my family and our 3 children, including their ages, when I scheduled my meet and greet with the Doctor. I did the meet and greet. The office appeared to be clean and professionally run, the staff were friendly and seemed on the ball, and Dr. Tammy answered my questions and seemed fine. (I didn't have a particularly negative or positive impression of her, but that's because I don't form such impressions too quickly. She didn't do anything wrong and she might be a great Doctor.) So a couple week's later, I call to make an appointment for my sick 14month old as a new patient, and I'm informed that they are not taking any new patients who are older than 6 months. What a waste of my time. They are *still* listed as accepting new patients under my insurance. No age restrictions are mentioned. read more
