Wow. Went here on Saturday night. Wish we could have gone a bit longer but 9:00-11:00 was pretty good. They have great pinball machines. Lots of arcade machines. Definitely worth going. My wife and I met Steve who was very nice. People there all nice. They play great music and more. Too bad they don't have food just snacks. It's not an arcade bar--it's just an arcade, so of you don't drink or wanna bring kids, this is a great option. 11 bucks gets you unlimited gameplay, but keep in mind the place is only open about 12 hours per week (the weirdly limited hours were the only reason I took off a star). It's also a fun atmosphere, the walls lined with iconic video game ephemera and speakers blasting retro tunes from the heyday of pinball. Attention retro arcade gamers. Starfighters Arcade takes you back in time to experience "free play" stand-up arcades and pinball machines. With 80's nostalgia loaded everywhere (80's record covers, autographed memorabilia, classic toys, and of course arcades) this place is awesome. For $10 cover ($11 with tax) you can play whatever you like for as long as you want. Even if you stay for a couple of hours it's a steal. There are countless stand up arcades, and they seemed to be somewhat grouped by maker (Atari, Nintendo, Sega, etc.) and style (fighter, racing) with the pinball machines mostly taking up the center of the space. They have some gems here- the ones I spent most of time on were Burgertime, 720, Gauntlet, Spy Hunter, MK4, Galaga, and Dig Dug. The pinball machines were impressive. Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Munsters, Addams Family, Metallica, Ghostbuster, Haunted House... so many and all in pristine condition! This place is a total blast from the past. It has a great vibe- the staff is friendly, there are snacks and drinks available if you get the munchies. Make sure to grab a cool Starfighters Arcade sticker for $1 on your way out. There are membership options if you want to frequent the place multiple weekends. Make sure to check their FB page for contests, tournaments, etc. They also have the most updated hours as they are very limited (weekends only basically). That was a really great arcade. It had almost all of my favorite games. I was having so much fun trying to beat the high score on Tempest that I didn't notice the arcade was closing until all of the games got turned off. This is not an arcade bar, it's just an arcade that is great for the whole family. I also enjoyed seeing all of the classic toys in the cases and around the building. This place was a throwback to my childhood. We were down visiting from Seattle and our in-laws wanted to try this place out. It's in a weird industrial park and they have odd hours (7-11 F & S and 3-7 S) but it's a flat $11pp for all the games you can play. I was surprised at how crowded it was, but they have a lot of fans going and it's pretty cool inside. There are ranges of people - old school, younger kids, etc. They sell some drinks and snacks. It's worth the day membership, monthly membership or yearly membership. They have arcade games from the 70's, 80's and 90's. The Pinball games are terrific too. The members are all family friendly so bring the kids to see how video gaming began. Also check the juke box too! I love going in to hear the tunes jamming!! At first I was a little nervous driving into an empty business complex and not seeing any life to be had, then as I turned the corner following the road Star Fighters Cafe illuminated before my eyes. I was getting clammy now as I guided my wife through the front door. We were greeted by a lifesize Wonder woman figure and a super nice guy at the front desk who put up with my jokes with a smile. Then we got our hand stamps that says "I heart nerds" and the nights was ours to seize! Spy Hunter, Castlevania, Michael Jackson Moonwalker thrilled us for hours. When we were ready for a change the countless pinball machines were a blast as well. The atmosphere is perfect with 80's music, colored dance lights and old geeky movies from a projector you can't go wrong. Travel back to your childhood and come here to play for the night. Unfortunately this dream is just barely getting started so Fridays and Saturdays is the only chance you're going to catch a good time for now. 5 stars - for a jukebox that's not only free but has the sweetest jams from back in the day. The only thing that there is to complain about is a lack of space between the games. It's a little tight. Take in mind though, the owners of this establishment are working really hard to grow and provide us with a nostalgic piece of our childhood so the more we support them the sooner they can get to a bigger place and provide us with even more games! I had a chance to speak to both of the owners, I didn't clarify who does what but both of the guys seem like really awesome guys and they were excited to have their dream a reality. I took 2 kids w me 8 & 11 and I've never seen them have so much fun in their life. They both thanked me and told me it was the best time they ever had and they really love playing these old games. I took my two teenage sons to this location last week. It simply blew away my expectations. They have 80's memorabilia through the facility, they play 80's music over the speakers and they had two 80's movies playing on the open walls. It is in an unassuming off side street but well worth the search. The falls are filled with fun memorabilia and the games are amazing. Tons of pinball and old arcade games. We might have got lost in a 2 player Tetrus match for over an hour! They have everything from Mortal Combat to Tron. They have some fun candy from back in the 80's such as candy cigarettes! This amazing collection of video games can be found in Mesa at the Starfighters Arcade and has something for everyone. My family visited the arcade on a Saturday night when the establishment was open from 7pm to 11pm. We walked in, paid $11 a piece and enjoyed unlimited play. The place certainly had a nice little crowd but with so many gaming options, you never had to wait to play. Throughout the night we bounced from game to game and loved every minute of it. The only bummer of the evening was my wife saying her feet her after about 2 hours and was ready to go. THE NERVE! How could she interrupt one of the best date nights of all time? I guess I will just have to make a visit again in the not to distant future since I missed a game or two. :) As for food/drink options, soft drinks and snacks can be bought . This place is an awesome trip. We came from Avondale and it was well worth the drive. I'm Not a huge arcade game fan but loved every minute and almost everything about this place. So many good games brought back great memories. The owner/owners/employees could not have been more sincere responsive kind people. What a great place!!!! This is the second time I have been there. I took my 10 and 13 olds last night. Total cost... $33. That entailed free play on all old school video and arcade games. I played Ms. Pacman for almost 30 minutes, followed by paperboy, crystal castles, millipede, qbert, defender and many pinball games!!!! Open Fri/Sat evenings from 7-11 and Sun from 3-7pm. It might even be worth it for a monthly membership as it's only $35/month that allows you and two friends to go all month long.
