Everything was fine until we realized that the home owner was coming into the apartment with out our permission!! Aside from that there was constant door slamming and fights. We could hear everything - the walls were so thin. The heat was another issue we had to constantly ask for it. Living in that apartment was pure hell. So when we moved out I called Margaret to let her know what an awful experience we had and she didn't want to hear it - her response was " I don't know what that has to do with me". We paid her a $1,400 commission based on her assurance that the home owner were "nice people". She conveniently forgot who paid her $1,400 commission we did not the home owner. It's not ethical for Margret to take prospective tenants to this place knowing that the tenants have to endure no heat, constant door slamming and invasion of their privacy. She didn't want to hear it because the commission check had long been cashed and she was not getting another cent from me. As O'Kane states "O'Kane Realty has been serving the Community with Integrity and Ethics for over 21 Years" ... that's not what the Yelp reviews say!!

He and Robert Bryan came by to check out the place and immediately struck us as honest, hardworking guys with lots of personality. Our cat also approved, so we decided to give them the listing. We got an above asking, all cash offer about two weeks in and were ready to close. Robert, being the scrupulous and well informed gentleman that he is, caught that we hadn't owned it long enough to avoid paying capital gains tax, so dissuaded us from the deal, instead encouraging us to wait. In this type of market it is VERY rare to have anyone remotely involved in your deal not pushing you to close as quick as you can - I'm sure it was difficult for Robert and Arny to walk away from a sure thing, but they did have our best interests at heart. We relisted with them with the intention of buying another place. They quickly got another (much higher) all cash offer that unfortunately didn't pan out, but that didn't stop them from tirelessly showing us open houses in the far corners of Brooklyn every single weekend of the past cold winter. Sure enough, another offer came in that they negotiated up close to asking from a lowball initial offer and we got into contract. We closed yesterday. There were so many times during the process when we needed information that seemed almost impossible to get, and somehow they always figured out who to call or how to find it. We kept saying to each other, "How did they even find that out?" They were also amazing when it came to our offer. They knew how to navigate the situation, gave us great guidance without ever making us feel pressured, and ultimately helped us get our offer accepted. I'll keep this as short as possible and try to spare some details but happy to share more upon…read morerequest. My experience dealing with Patricia was an absolute nightmare from beginning to end. She was hired by my landlord to sell the building myself and other tenants were living in - this woman spent months not only lying to us, pretending to work for an insurance company so she could come into our homes and take photos, but she also lied about the building being sold. She used harassment tactics to get all tenants to vacate the apartments as quickly as possible because the building was clearly a laundering business for the landlord and she was helping him snake his way out of it, while also taking a cut. She spent over a month harassing all of us, being incredibly invasive, disrespectful, and aggressive with us until I made it very clear I have a very real and capable lawyer that will bury her and the landlord if she didn't back off. She pushed bogus contracts on us that weren't remotely legal. The offer for us to leave didn't even cover one months rent, the contract didn't even have a line for other parties to agree to it (basically trying to only bind the tenant and leave them with no compensation from a buy-out) In order to rush us out of our homes, she also kept pushing her own shady listings down our throats for us to take her bait, calling and texting us non-stop until we responded, and would absolutely snap on us when we would call her out on her horrible and unprofessional behavior. She event told me to make up the contract myself since she didn't know how to do it... but she was still harassing us to sign. Even though it wasn't a real contract. To add insult to injury, All of this happened during the holidays, in the height of Covid-19 pandemic. After having my lawyer on her, the landlord, and the shady lawyer they were using, I was finally able to get a legitimate contract. It was a horrible experience throughout and although I've spared a lot of details, Im happy to discuss with anyone who's considering hiring this woman and this front of a company as I have plenty of receipts to not only back up my experience but also bury the business as a whole. Patricia is a scam artist. Do not waste your breath, your sanity, your money, or your time. Ps: the building that was allegedly sold remains vacant - none of her threats held up what so ever. She just pushed a lot of people out of their homes for the sake of a paycheck that she isn't even worth collecting.
