Lisa learned about our business prior to the photoshoot, understood our vision and really took a lot of time and effort to make sure she would be prepared to capture what we needed. Her enthusiasm on photoshoot day was contagious and she relaxed everyone. She made sure every one of our team members looked and felt their best in front of the camera. Her posing instructions were incredibly helpful and easy to follow. She noticed every hair out of place, every crooked piece of jewelry, clothing, etc. The results were proofs that everyone was so thrilled with that we had trouble narrowing them down! We will absolutely call Lisa again in the future when we need more photos. We HIGHLY recommend her!

Cortney and Carlos were absolutely amazing with every aspect of the process from helping to pick the models, working with the animals on their poses, and designing the backdrops. They did all this while helping us meet our tight deadline! The thing that impressed me most about Digital Chrome was how they worked with the different personalities of the twelve animal models to make them feel comfortable in a new environment. They allowed the animals to run around the studio for a little while to familiarize themselves with the new smells and then rewarded them with toys and treats as they posed for the camera. I feel so lucky that Digital Chrome Studio sought out Liberty Humane and was interested in working with us on the annual calendar. Their generosity to the animals coupled with their professionalism and flexibility meant so much to us. The entire process was so smooth providing us the time to focus on helping the animals and marketing the calendar so that the proceeds can go to help hundreds more homeless dogs and cats.

They also went the extra mile by teleconferencing with our web developer to ensure a comprehensive package for us (eg: images would have the proper specs to load into our site easily, and also provided consultative sessions with us in regards to our overall "look and feel" of product layout on our site, etc). It's a full service studio, with a boutique feel. As the owner of a small business, I was juggling many projects at once and my website image project was seemingly a daunting task. However, guided by attention to detail that Digital Chrome Studio provided, our project is on the road to success.

Allure West Studios has a class on digital photography for beginners, which requires the student to…read morebring a DSLR, a pad and pen/pencil, and the manual for the camera (you don't use it--I don't know where mine is). My wife bought me the class as a gift. The gift was a nice surprise, since I had been talking about wanting to learn more and to stop using the "auto" mode on my camera. I was afraid of the manual mode. Prior to taking the class, I researched the studio a bit, and I have to say, I was a bit skeptical since most of the reviews were overwhelmingly positive. There's a reason for it: the class was excellent. The class is around 3 hours (ours went a bit longer than that) and is made up of only several people. Our class size was 5, which was nice. It allowed personal attention and removed any fear of asking questions. There is a short break in the middle, and that break essentially split the class into two 'parts': (1) a general overview of photography; and (2) how to use the manual mode. The first 'part' was a general overview of photography, equipment, and the reasons why having quality equipment results in quality pictures. Jung, our instructor, explains with great detail why the choice of equipment, namely the flash and lens, is so important. He also took several photographs in the class to show before and after results of using the flash incorrectly versus using the flash correctly. I have learned just how important lighting and a quality lens are to pictures. The second 'part' was an overview on how to take pictures and involved a light hands-on activity with the camera. Jung explained the four basic settings of manual mode. He explained: (1) what each setting does to the picture; (2) when to use each setting for the particular subject; (3) how to correctly adjust each setting; and (4) in what order to adjust each setting. He provides many small tips and tricks to avoid purchasing superfluous accessories. He also makes sure each student is using the correct settings, so no one is left behind. Jung offered several recommendations for entry/amateur-level lens and flashes. These recommendations were nice, because I know if I go to a big box store, or even many local stores, the salespeople only want to sell equipment. Jung had no ulterior motives. He was not selling anything; he just wanted his students to take better photographs. He lets you to contact him after the class to ask questions, especially regarding the purchasing of new equipment. He will provide advice not specific to one brand, which is helpful since the Internet is full of people with conflicting opinions (i.e., Canon is better.. no, wait, Nikon is better.. no, wait..). All in all, it was an excellent class, and I look forward to taking his Level 2 class sometime in the near future.

The camera I have has been both a blessing and a curse. It's a blessing because it has potential to help me take great photos, but it's a curse because I have no idea how to use it -- well, didn't have any idea of how to use it before this class. Now I'm well on my way! Jung taught the class and he was great. He keeps the class sizes small so that plenty of questions can be asked and he is great at explaining things. He's breaks down the process in a very logical way and you leave with a great set of foundation tools to start taking photos with your digital SLR. He is generally very knowledgeable about not only photography as it relates to taking photos, but also was in terms of being able to use and recommend equipment -- in both professional and amateur price ranges. He was able to show each student how to change the settings on their particular camera, so that was super helpful as well. I'm looking forward to practicing the techniques Jung taught by taking more photos on my own and hope to be back for the more advanced classes.
