I hired these guys to do my pool cleanings this year after my mom and pop ghosted me. The cleanings were $50 more than I was paying, and they had a bad habit of not emptying my skimmer baskets. Other than that, the cleanings went well. They missed a few appointments, and it felt like I never knew when they were going to show up. They recommended a lot more chemicals than we had been using the last few years, but given how we always seem to have at least 1 algae bloom a year, maybe that was a good thing. I trusted them and paid for extra chems. When anything broke, these guys offered to fix it, but the prices seemed high. I was happy with the job they did on the fixes. But, they left equipment at my property and left a gate open that my dog could have escaped through. Didn't love that. Also, as soon as I hired them, they charged almost $1000 to my credit card for nothing. I called them to get them to take care of it, but it all went on the card and had to be disputed. To their credit, they didn't argue to keep the charges, but it was annoying I had to be the one to deal with it all. My break point was with the closing. We have a waterfall and the cover was not sitting tight to the wall, letting in plant matter. I pointed it out and they said they could get a wire and fix it, but it would cost about $200. I agreed, and they ended up charging me $300, for a wire they left long and looking like a mess. It also brought the price of the close to nearly $800, which was double what I paid last year. Buyer beware: shoddy workmanship, nonexistent customer service Save your money and go somewhere else. We have had nothing but headaches since Stardust Pools completed our in-ground pool in Spring 2021. We had a leak in the first year they said was "normal" (untrue) and they failed to successfully address it. They left it uncovered, without connecting the filtration system, causing filthy water to sit for months, which left permanent stains in the liner and stairs, which they have not remedied. We asked them to come back the following year after we noticed the leak was not fixed, which also subsequently caused the liner to detach from the concrete wall. They also attempted to convince us this was "normal," but the pool kept losing water after it was refilled. The owner, Walter, said he fixed it, but that was not the case. Sure enough, the problem emerged again this year, and the effect was worse. Water had entered the space between the liner and the concrete wall, causing the liner to detach from the top and bulge inward from the sides. Walter again dismissed our concerns, saying this was "normal," and he encouraged us to refill the pool yet again. The water kept leaking at a rate of an inch a day. He sent workers to our home, and they cut the inlet pipe to the heater (which was also leaking for the second time), detached the pool light, and have left it like this for weeks. As a result, there is no longer any filtration in the pool. The water has turned green and we will -- yet again, at our expense -- need to treat it with chemicals. Walter does not respond to our messages or phone calls. We have photos, emails and text messages from the inception to document our attempts to remedy the issue, to no avail. I leave this review reluctantly, but I don't want other people to have the same experience. Shame on us for giving Walter the benefit of the doubt for this long. This was a significant investment that we made and we have been unable to enjoy it since we've had it. Don't waste your money with Stardust Pools. read more

I contracted with Stardust Pools to fix a leak in my Jacuzzi 7 months ago. They came and stated the leak was fixed. Several days later it began leaking again. I called them and they came to my home again and said it was the pump. They charged a second service call for the same leak. They said they would order a gasket instead of the pump to save me money. The gasket took over a moth to secure. When they came to install the part it did not fit and several other parts were broken during the installation. The price to install the gasket was close to the cost of a new pump. The Jacuzzi continued to leak. I bought a new pump and they installed the pump. The Jacuzzi continued to leak at the upper connection. They came several additional times but the leak was not fixed. They sent a different technician. He refuse to fill the Jacuzzi to ascertain the location of the leak and fixed the wrong connection. After he completed the work we partially filled the Jacuzzi. It continued to leak from the same area. We called the company and the owner said he would come out. It took a month to get a appointment. They said they would call the day before the appointment to confirm. When I did not hear from them I called the office and was told by the the owner Walter the appointment had been cancelled. He said he was not ready to do the job. He said it would be at least 3 or more weeks before I could schedule a new appointment So far I have spent over $1500 over 7 months and the leak has not been fixed. It began as a slow leak. It is now a major leak and the Jacuzzi cannot be filled. I would avoid using this company. read more

Have been trying to get my pool heater repaired since mid May. I made an appt for a "diagnostic visit" and was told it would be $175 just to have their tech come here. I was also asked to provide the name and model number of my heater so the tech would know which parts would be needed. Some guy shows up looks at the heater and states he can't tell what the problem with the heater is and even if he did he would have to order the parts. He also told us we have a leak in our brand new pump and the whole pump needs to be replaced. After he left I called stardust and told them we are not interested in replacing the brand new pump but still need the heater fixed. The owner told us he would order the parts and it would be fixed. Here we are almost two months later. They are not returning phone calls and I'm out $175! DO NOT USE STARDUST UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE RIPPED OFF! read more

OKAY they deserve 0 Stars. I have an above ground pool and this was the first year so I wanted a company to close it down for the winter. I hired the company for a little under 400 dollars to close my pool down. So I called I went in there to buy a cover and right off the bad the heavy set owner was rude about e buying cover (thought he was just having bad day). So I have him my dimensions and he begrudgingly set me up with the cover and pillow. I set up the closing. They came on time no problem. However the cover was put on my pool hardly tight at all. They left without letting us know they were done and the next day the pool cove was being blown all around from under the pool. Because they didn't tighten enough and pull the cover down far enough on each side of pool. I had go do there to tell them they problem. The heavy guy was PISSED at me for coming to get this rectified. He said well you probably bought the wrong size...I was like "YOU SOLD IT TO ME"." He was then like I guess have to get guys back out there but I don't know when. I was you better and I am not paying for the second go around. IN which at that time he also instructed that pump would be good to have to pump off rain water melting snow etc. So we bought the lighter one for about 170 (good deal right?!!?....WRONG) The guy was very condescending and when I shelling almost 500 dollars out Didn't need the attitude. As I walked thinking ok this is done the older gentleman (Who was nice) and worked there was like, "Yeah you are not the first one." He said they were getting a lot of calls about covers not done right. So they knew there jobs were horrible, So the pool guy came AGAIN a couple days later. They ring the bell they went to pool. They couldn't figure out why it was blowing in which it was pretty obvious (that cover was not pulled down enough and nothin was really holding the cover in place except for a wire.) SO within 20 minutes they were gone NO notice or anything. So I had no real idea what they did. When I looked it to took me a while but all they did was tighten the cord on the pool and placed the pump on the water spots. The tightening did nothing. The pool cover was still blowing. around On top of that the pump barely worked and stopped pumping all together. I looked on AMZAZON the pump retailed for 25 dollars (REALLY the company RIPPED me off). So Now i Have to buy a new pump (SO IRITATED) That being said the pool was nothing except for the chemials (hopefully) was done properly so I had to go buy clips and water bags to hold the pool cover secure and also I have to buy a new pump to keep water off. STAR DUST is HORRIBLE rude, didn't do the job right and they will not be opening my pool. PLEASE DON"T use them they SCREWED ME and others..they can and probably will screw you too. In turn I secured the cover on my own.DO NOT US THEM. Fair warning.....DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! Highly unprofessional and they literally could not care less about their customers. When they came to open my pool, I asked one of the guys if they could check to see if my filter cartridge was clean, to which he told me "sure, no problem." Upon finishing with the opening, he assured me that the cartridge was clean and they left. Well, after several days of an elevated PSI on my filter, I backwashed the pool a couple of times in the hopes that the PSI issue would be alleviated. Finally, after a quick watch of a Youtube video, I took the cartridge out myself. You guessed it.....FILTHY. Took me a half hour to blast off all the muck with my garden hose. So, their guy pretty much lied to my face. Moving onto to yet another issue. My jacuzzi was not working at all (because heaven forbid they actually take the time to make sure everything was working when they were here opening the pool). No water was being drawn into the system at all when the jacuzzi was turned on. So, i called them to make a service appointment for them to come. I was "on the schedule" for Tuesday 6/6. Tuesday rolls around.....no show, no call. (HIGHLY unprofessional). So we call back the next day to reschedule and got put "on the schedule" for Saturday 6/10. Again......no show, no call. (Are you kidding me?!). So this morning when my wife called them to look for an explanation, she was told by Walter (who is one of the most unprofessional, discourteous, miserable human beings on this planet) that "Yeah, we didn't show up, I dont know what to tell you." My wife then proceeded to tell them that their customer service is terrible and that we would be moving forward with another pool company. His response was "yeah, whatever." I had been using this half assed, sorry excuse for a pool company for a couple of years (I know, shame on me for sticking around that long), and this was by far not my first unpleasant experience with them and Walter. But I can tell you this, it was certainly my last. I STRONGLY urge anyone who wants friendly, reliable. professional service for their pool/jacuzzi needs to NOT use this company. We have worked with Stardust for a number of years and have been very happy with our experience overall. Walter and his staff have all been wonderful to work with and have been a great resource in helping us solve problems especially with our very old pool. Most recently, we had the opportunity to work with them on a large renovation project. Specifically, our 60+ year old pool was becoming unmanageable due to plumbing problems, cracking and cement deterioration. The Stardust team pressure tested all water lines, found a massive break in the skimmers and repaired it. They replaced large aging butterfly valves in the main pump room and the quality of workmanship was excellent. After considering different options for the pool lining, we decided to contract with Stardust Pools to have the entire pool and baby pool refinished with the Fibretech process. Our main pool had been losing water for years so the option to essentially seal it with the Fibretech was a no-brainer. Getting Board and members approval for this was no easy process but with all the great information and statistics provided by Walter and the Stardust team, in the end, 98% of members were in agreement to support the project. The project then started in late October and, within a matter of weeks, the prep, the plumbing repairs, the sanding and the final application were completed and the resulting quality looks fantastic. We even had them apply the permanent lane lines and a professional quality club logo to the bottom and it looks especially BEAUTIFUL. After filling with water, our massive 244,000 gallon pool no longer leaks and looks awesome!!! Next up, Stardust is installing salt water systems and we expect we will be the first commercial pool in the local area to offer this option especially for those that are environmentally conscious. I was in a bind to get someone to help with leak at the lights. They said it was pipes, dug into back yard and pavers, didn't fix the leak...which turned out to be the lights! I would definitely do your research when choosing a pool company. We inherited a very old pool with lots of issues, not knowing any better and wanting to get things moving we went with the one that was closest and easiest to get an appointment. For the past few weeks, I've been trying to open and get my inground pool clean. I agree with much of what the other folks are saying about this company, unsure how they have been in business this long because I don't think they're very honest. We've had some major issues from Day 1 but they painted the picture that it was feasible to fix with the proper chemicals aka give us more money. We are almost a month into trying to get our pool swimmable and it's still no where near done. There was a lot of miscommunication and leading us on. I wish more business people were honest, forthright and cared about their customers. I'm heartbroken that I've wasted so much time on this pool rather than spending time with my young family.
