As someone who is very active, I didn't realize how much I needed a deep tissue massage until I went. My masseuse, Michelle, asked me where I felt tightness and what I needed, and it felt like she really listened and worked on those areas really well. Afterwards, I went into the float spa chamber, which was clean with clear instructions posted. The staff also informed me what to do and answered any questions I had. The chamber itself was nice, and although the sensory deprivation was weird at first, I got used to it and just zoned out. Overall, a very relaxing and amazing experience. I was really excited for my first float, and it was a lovely place. Unfortunately the water in the tank I was in smelled really bad, like urine. I left very early and let him know about the smell, but he didnt seem surprised or concerned. I want to give a big shout out to Rebecca, the owner of the place and who I book my 90-min massages with. She has such a calming voice and has always listened to me and "fixed" whatever my body needed-- cupping, hot stones, deep tissue. The ambiance of the place is very healing from the front desk, to the waiting room, to the massage rooms, and the float spas. I've only done the float once for a 60-min session. It was my first time doing something like this so I didn't really know what to expect. I ended up getting the couple size room which was massive! I didn't know that this was what I booked but it was a nice surprise. This room is recommended for people who are taller (I'm 4'10 so this was more than what I needed) or for people who feel claustrophobia. I imagine the single room would have been sufficient so I'll try that out next time. The float rooms have showers which you use before and after the session and they provide ear plugs as well. The float itself had options to completely turn off the lights or keep some light one, depending on your mood. You can choose whether or not you can have music. The beauty is that you control all of this inside the float. The bathrooms are clean and they also provide a room with hair dryers. Many more handles in tubs. Floors and walls are super slippery and with a disability (knee replacement) it's super difficult to exit.

We arrived exhausted and in pain and left relaxed and pain free. We're visiting from out of town and the staff was so welcoming. I never floated before and it was great. Did not feel claustrophobic at all. First infrared sauna too and compared to other saunas it was much easier to tolerate. My husband also got a massage and said it was really good. I'm so sad to feel like I wasted so much money here. I love the concept, and believe epsom salt to have many benefits. However, the float spa itself smelt like very strong cleaning chemicals. I know that epsom salt has a smell, but this was different. My partner actually woke up mid float overwhelmed by the chemical smell. Floating for 90 minutes was also excessive. I ended up getting out early because the water got cold. Not the relaxing feel I paid a couple hundred dollars for. We also weren't walked out at the end? Just kind of wandered out and nobody was at the front so we left. Got a phone call later that they were charging my card. It just didn't feel like I thought it would feel. Big waste of money. There are other more relaxing things to spend your money on that will actually have you leaving feeling refreshed and relaxed. Unfortunately not a great experience. edit: my partner is constantly complaining about ear pain now that it's been 1.5 days later. this was a gift for his birthday and now he seems to be developing an ear infection because of it. read more

Starlight float in their largest pod was an experience! I've floated at many places now and I was happy to learn about how clean theirs is as not all floats are out there. It also has air circulation inside, which is really nice. I experienced sensory repatterning with Bonnie. She is delightful! (In fact everyone was very helpful!) It was perfect for me to experience, yet I would do this work separately from a float. She did mention that & I wanted to move forward anyway. It creates a stress reset without the water. Such an amazing experience. This was my first time ever trying a float spa, and I could not be more pleased. The place was immaculately clean, the staff was extremely friendly and took the time before to explain everything and did not rush me one bit even though I was asking a lot of questions. The waiting room is super comfortable and they offer snacks and hot beverages for free as you wait. They give you time to shower and use the bathroom before and after your float. Everything was very well taken care of and the room is completely private for the ultimate floating experience. The tub was massive, I'm 6 foot and a big guy but I was able to comfortably starfish in there without touching any of the sides. They give you the option to turn off the lights and music for a completely sensory isolation experience. Or you could turn either on any time throughout your experience if you get a little scared (I definitely did for a while)... my only critiques was that maybe it was a little shallow in the tub. I've been here a few times and it's been a lovely experience every time. My first visit was just for a 60 minute float. The staff was friendly, gave me a tour and explained everything. The pod was nice and clean and spacious. I didn't bother with the music and just enjoyed being in the void. My second visit was a 60 min float and 30 minute focused neck/shoulder massage with Michele. The float was great, but the massage from Michele was one of the best I've had. I returned today for a 90 minute massage with Michele and it was just as fantastic. I'm not the biggest float spa fan - tend to leave it more for a one off when some focused meditation time is needed (though their float spas are fantastic!).
