I did the couples 30 minute sauna then a 60 minute float sesh. Wow... we are both still riding on a cloud 9 of relaxation. This place was such a healing experience from start to finish. Everyone that worked there had a very calming energy. The place was immaculately clean yet cozy. There's space to prep and lock your stuff away, clean huge bathrooms with lovely mirrors, and a "chill zone". Really a stellar experience all the way through. I loved decompressing and sipping on tea in their chill room after it all. I also did some coloring before checking out and re-entering the real world. 10/10 experience, looking forward to booking again soon, this place is a hidden gem

I want to give a big shout out to Rebecca, the owner of the place and who I book my 90-min massages with. She has such a calming voice and has always listened to me and "fixed" whatever my body needed-- cupping, hot stones, deep tissue. The ambiance of the place is very healing from the front desk, to the waiting room, to the massage rooms, and the float spas. I've only done the float once for a 60-min session. It was my first time doing something like this so I didn't really know what to expect. I ended up getting the couple size room which was massive! I didn't know that this was what I booked but it was a nice surprise. This room is recommended for people who are taller (I'm 4'10 so this was more than what I needed) or for people who feel claustrophobia. I imagine the single room would have been sufficient so I'll try that out next time. The float rooms have showers which you use before and after the session and they provide ear plugs as well. The float itself had options to completely turn off the lights or keep some light one, depending on your mood. You can choose whether or not you can have music. The beauty is that you control all of this inside the float. The bathrooms are clean and they also provide a room with hair dryers. I will continue going to this place because of Rebecca and the wonderful experiences I've had here. Highly recommend!

Best float spa I've been to! I chose the 1hr float plus the 1 hr massages- what a great combination! It was heavenly! Floating weightless was just what I needed my body needed to relax and release some pains and tensions. And Michelle's healing touch was the perfect way to end the experience. Highly recommended!!

My own personalized room with my name on the door, awaiting my presence

When you wanna give your body a rest from any kind of pressure or stress, it really does help to float in 1000 pounds of Epsom salt water. This is a new spot that I have not been to yet until today and I was very impressed with how clean and nice this business was. I encourage anyone to check them out. I think they might even still be running some specials on social media here. Stardust Float Spa I definitely look forward to coming back and I hope people that might see this will come pay you a visit. Stardustfloatspa.com

My wife and I did a couples float and it was wonderful. The facility is beautifully appointed, clean, and welcoming. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and really makes you feel at home. There are fresh towels, ear plugs, shampoo, conditioner, and a nice shower in the float rooms. In the float you can control the lighting and the sound to customize your experience. I highly recommend trying this, and once you fall in love with it they offer packages as well.

Overview: great first experience, very relaxing and unique…read more ---- I've always wanted to do a sensory deprivation chamber and found this place online. There is reserved parking in their lot which is great instead of finding street parking downtown. Then you can take the elevator up. The front desk person was very kind and helpful with any questions I had. You go into a room to watch a short informational video and there is also a flyer with information you can read before taking your float. You can choose from the music options they give you or play your own. Unfortunately, the Bluetooth speakers were broken at the time I did my appointment (back in December 2024) so they gave me a waterproof phone holder so that I could play it directly from my phone and have it floating in there with me. There's a bathroom in the hallways and in the room there is a shower, soaps, and lotion. They also have this pillow floaty that keeps your head up when you're floating inside the tank. Honestly, I didn't really like the pillow and preferred letting my head naturally rest in the water. Since there's so much salt in the tank, your body floats easily. The water was also warm, a temperature that wasn't too hot or too cold which I enjoyed. Inside of the tank they have buttons to change the lighting and to turn it off. I opted to turn my lights off and was super excited to enjoy my time and meditate while I was in there. I was so relaxed I ended up quickly falling asleep and hadn't even known it hahah! I wish I was awake to enjoy it consciously but I had a great time regardless :) ---- Overall: the quality of my experience was great all around, I had a lot of fun and fell asleep without even realizing it (which apparently is a very common thing that happens here!), you can find some deals online if the price is too expensive for your tastes, but I'd recommend trying this out at least once in your life

I got into my float tank and something felt off. I got out mid-session and started looking around. What I found and documented with approximately 40 photographs was one of the most unsanitary commercial facilities I have ever seen in my life. There was visible black mold growing inside the float tank itself. On the lid seam. On the interior walls. On the door seal. This is the enclosed space that customers pay to lie inside and breathe recycled air for up to 90 minutes. The shower rooms had black mold covering the grout on every wall, every floor, and every corner. The ceiling panels had rust bleeding through them. The HVAC vent had visible mold and rust buildup on the filter screen, which means contaminated air is being actively circulated to every room in the building. The walls had paint blistering and bubbling off, which is what happens when moisture and mold are growing behind the wall surface, not just on it. When I contacted the business and requested a refund, they told me that what I photographed was not mold and was not dangerous. They refused to issue a refund. I have filed a formal complaint with the San Diego County Department of Environmental Health requesting an immediate inspection and suspension of operations until professional mold remediation is completed and the facility passes reinspection. I have also disputed the charge with my bank.

We opted for a cold plunge, sauna and red light experience (there was a red light panel in the sauna). The room accommodated both is us. Walking in the vibe was calm, aesthetic and inviting. The room we were in had everything we needed and then some. Everything was clean and set up for use. Instructions are on the wall, so we didn't need to ask for much during our time. We opted for a 50 minute session and it was perfect for the both of us. For two people, including tax and tip it came out to about $117. Highly recommend this place!! Well in middle-age, floating has been a necessary and therapeutic service that allows me to continue to stay active, reduce stress, and recover. Upon my last visit, I was informed of the new contrast service. I have never cold plunged before. I regularly utilize the cryo tank at least 4 times a year, so I thought why not? I was a little nervous, but the contrast room has the perfect aesthetic, and the combination of the dry sauna and cold plunge was AMAZING! The cold plunge is not for the faint at heart, but after researching the many benefits, well worth it! After my session, I immediately felt the differences. My body is still reaping the benefits well in 48 hours. I floated first, then did the contrast. For me, my dream recovery and refocus services for mind, body, and spirit! Great job, Float State! My only small disappointment, I miss the old staff and their genuine rapport and personalities. When I came in, they new my name and I felt like family. Now, I just feel like a number. No one is rude or unpleasant, their body language and conversation is just low effort. There are a couple of individuals I know by name, but the enthusiasm isn't the same. Like I said, this is relatively small and by no means takes away from the experience.

As a family we'd visit The Spa throughout the late 80s and more frequently in the early to mid 90s. We also went there after the 90s but not as often. The last time I went there was around mid 2000. It was always memorable for us but very disappointing when they closed down for a very long time. We went there one time, hoping to enjoy the waters. But all we saw was flat ground where The Spa used to be. We inquired about other spa resorts but none compared to The Spa. I would call sometimes after they renovated the casino nearby to inquire if they would open a hot springs resort again. I was told that the waters were too sacred for the native Americans who own the land, so they would never rebuild a spa. My mom loved it there so much that we tried to find something that was even just a little bit as nice as The Spa in Palm Springs or Dessert Hot Springs. We never found a place like it. Sadly, I stopped inquiring and my mother passed away 2 years ago. I found out recently that they opened Séc-he in 2023, a year before my mother passed. So going there recently was bittersweet for me. I wish my mom had been able to enjoy it but it really doesn't matter since she's in a much better place anyway. I had a great experience there and didn't imagine how much nicer it was than I expected. Of course I was surprised by how much bigger Séc-he is than the previous Spa. I expected to have the same services as The Spa and almost didn't enter because of the price. It didn't make sense to me because I was thinking it was similar to The Spa. This renovated spa resort is much bigger and more interesting, aesthetically, than the previous one. The previous one was built in 1960 and while I liked the mid-century modern look, I like this a lot better. I was given a tour of the area and amenities before I began my journey there. I have been to the three top resorts in Japan, Harbin and Esalen in N. CA, and Beverly Hot Springs in L.A. Séc-he offers more amenities compared to all of those other hot springs and hot springs resorts. You really can't compare because Japanese love to replicate an atmosphere that's as natural as possible. And Esalen and Harbin are outdoor, with Esalen overlooking the Big Sur ocean high above. So it's a different experience and they're not as luxurious as Séc-he. I recommend the 15-minute private mineral bath that you have to reserve. It's one of the only features that was retained from the previous The Spa. You don't need more than 15 minutes because it's very hot. The floatation room was the highlight of my journey at Séc-he. It was my first experience doing that and it was amazing. After a while I didn't feel my body because of the relaxing atmosphere and the way you float effortlessly on the water. Your body is just inches away from the bottom but it feels like you're on a lake or on a calm ocean somewhere in the Caribbean. I highly suggest visiting the spa on a Monday because there's less people. I think Monday-Wednesday would be ideal. I have been to many spa resorts in CA throughout the years that have mineral or geothermal waters. Glenn Ivy and La Vida were our family's favorites but La Vida closed over 35 years ago and Glen Ivy only offers a small geothermal bath that is too small to appreciate because there are too many people using it. My parents used to go to them long before I was born. The only one that still exists in Los Angeles is Beverly Hot Springs but you're limited to 2 hours, which is necessary due to its size. Otherwise it would be crowded with too many people even on week days. If you seek out the best geothermal waters, Mercey Hot Springs would probably be among the best. But I recommend reading about the unique, natural method the geothermal waters are distributed at Séc-he. Because of the way the hot springs move around geologically, you get benefits from minerals that you won't derive from other hot springs. And this is something I immediately felt on my skin after going into the outdoor pool that's fed by geothermal waters. My skin felt like it had an oily, silky residue. The water in that pool is very soft. That's something to keep in mind if you're seeking the most beneficial geothermal waters because all hot springs aren't the same. I will definitely go there again and this time to enjoy cryotherapy.

I've only been to one other large spa like this that even compares and that was the Grand Hotel…read moreVictoria in Menaggio (Lake Como). There is a reason that Spa at Séc-he consistently ranks #1 in many of the rankings in CA and in the US. It is unreal. Not only is it huge, they have thought of literally everything. Re-imagined in 2018 and completely renovated between 2021-23, they re-opened in April 2023. But it's history of being a natural hot springs dates back more than 100 years. I'm not going to detail all the amenities - just browse their site and book some time there. PRO TIP #1: it's not a 1-hour treatment and done. Plan to spend 3-4 hours there, enjoying all the amenities and different areas. PRO TIP #2: booking a treatment includes a 15-minute soak in a personal, private mineral bath. These waters are 108 degrees and come directly from 1.5 miles below the earth surface. Very mineral-y, but I'm sure did wonders for my skin. Don't miss it.
