I loved my first visit at Float Therapy Spa! My husband has been coming here for a little bit now, and really enjoyed his experiences here. It had been a while since he stopped by and he asked if I wanted to join him, and I am glad I did. We used to visit Float Easy who went from good to terrible at a fast pace. What was once nice, calm, great visits became visits of being closed without notice, causing a bit of a drive to be a waste. From taking in later customers sooner than me when it was my appointment, from helping customers who came in after me first, to equipment not working well, not the calm silent experience you come for, and then just flat out closing and not paying people back for visits that were paid for. Fast forward to my visit here for the first time. There are only two rooms here so you will likely need to book a little in advance. I was pretty stressed and I was happy I ended up here. The rooms were silent the whole time, aside from the music I chose to leave on. I did notice you only get one type of music or silence, as opposed to various sounds and either a blue light, or off instead of a few colors. The float tub itself seemed a little bigger to me than my previous experiences. I love that they supply you with a float pillow instead of just the ring. My head and ears did not dip in the water this way. For this round I chose to leave on the music and the light. I may go on silent and no light next time, or music and no light. The tub gets DARK. You won't see a thing once the light is off. I almost fell asleep and I likely will next time. The room to undress and shower in with the tub itself here is more spacious than the previous business I frequented. I did not notice shampoo to use when you wash off. We brought our own. I am pretty sure that was body wash in the dispenser and I am going to feel silly if it wasn't considering that I used it as such. There is also body butter, ear plugs and a towel for your using. Maria is nothing but extremely sweet and helpful. I really enjoyed meeting her and my first visit here. I realized how much I missed these float sessions and now that I had a better experience, I need to consider buying a membership.

This is my new favorite weekly activity - floating. Before trying floating for the first time, I researched it's numerous benefits. I learned that the water in the floatation pods are magnesium rich. While floating, your body's magnesium and sulfate levels increase, which is a good thing since it's actually quite common to be Magensium deficient. Magnesium helps calm your nervous system which enhances your body's natural ability to heal. At one point, you relax so much which in turn, also naturally reduces your cortisol levels. Floating can also reduce chronic pain - which was my main motivation for initially trying floating. The first time I went to float @ Float Therapy Spa in HB, I didnt know what to expect. I came in with an open mind and love that it is about 10 minutes away from me and right down the street. Once you step inside Float Therapy Spa, you are nicely greeted with relaxing, clean decor and you are escorted to your float room. I was instructed to thoroughly shower first (which is located in my float room) to ensure the water in the pod is kept clean. A float pillow is provided along with towels and earpods. I chose to leave my pod door open while I floated with the ambient light and music on. The first time I floated, I wasn't able to fully relax until about 20 minutes into the 1 hour session, but once I did relax, I actually dozed off for the remainder of the time. When the jet turns off, it signals the end of the 1 hour session and then you shower again before leaving. The second time I came to float, I was able to fully relax and actually dozed off within 10 minutes for the remaining hour. It's awesome that they offer an introductory float package of 3 - which I readily took advantage of. After floating, I felt the best I've felt in years with renewed energy and clarity for the next 3 hours and I slept even better each night after. I'm so grateful this place is so close to me as I'm becoming a normal now! Float on

I have wanted to try floating in a sensory deprivation tank for 20 years and finally got the opportunity last night. First off, Float Therapy Spa's facilities are very clean, professional and welcoming. They offer a 60-minute float at a very affordable rate (with deals to be had.) It's much cheaper than other spas in the area I'd researched. Shout-out to Noland, who was an amazing guide, walking me through the procedure and answering all my questions with warmth and friendliness. He said some folks use it for muscular recovery, or to work through problems, relieve stress or to assist meditation. I came for its benefits on meditation but ended up experiencing all of the above! Once I entered the futuristic pod-womb, it took a little while to fully let my body go and relax into it but once I did-- YOWSERS! The only comparable feeling for me is those twilight moments just as you begin to fall asleep, where your body is nearly paralyzed with relaxation, your brain tingles with feel-good neurotransmitters and your mind begins to play like a child. It was, in turns, insightful and fun and simply nice. I will be back!

I came here with my boyfriend and we both fell in love with the experience. I was hesitant at first because I was in a separate room and felt that I would be scared but it was not scary at all. We will definitely be returning soon.

Don't need to bring anything but you!!

A friend of mine has been coming here for awhile and highly recommended that I at least try it. She then gifted me with a 60-min float and I am 100% SOLD!! I even left with a membership. As a former college athlete, I am now 46 and dealing with all kinds of pain from old injuries so I'm always looking for new ways to recover and rest in between workouts. I also have had increased anxiety and this (I'm hoping) will help me learn to quiet my mind. Maria was also super helpful in making my 1st experience phenomenal!!

Decided to try float therapy after purchasing a Groupon deal. Before you show up you need to schedule a time slot. Once we arrive we were greeted by a friendly staff member, she explained the processes to us and gave us iPads to watch an instructional video. (It went through the process, benefits, best positions to try and other information). The waiting room was nice and clean, had water and tea. Once you're done with the video they take you to your private room with a shower and float pod, you are instructed to shower and go right into the pod. Ok, so inside the pod. I was a little apprehensive at first because of the confined space and the water but it's quite large. You have the options of going pitch black, changing lights, one solid light, and music/no music. I chose changing lights and music but honestly with the earplugs in you can barely hear anything. A tip : be cautious of the salt and water, I made the mistake of scratching my forehead while in there and some water got in my eye yes it hurts but they provide you with a dry towel and a spray bottle of fresh water that hangs inside the pod. The water inside the pod is supposed to be warm around body temperature so at times it did feel a little stuffy, I had to open the pod once because I was feeling nauseous (if you watch the video they explain that it's normal to feel nauseous as the toxins are being released from the body). Overall it was a great experience, I felt super refreshed and energized after so I would definitely recommend this place.

It was my first time floating. I did not know what to expect - but the short video and Maria are great at explaining what to do and what the benefits are from floating. My appointment was 10AM. They open at 10AM. I went earlier sign a form and watch a short video on how to use the pod. Basically - you go in a pod - a container that is filled with salt water - helps with floating, to help relax your body. It is an hour long floating session. The video and Maria will tell you when the hour is up and give you basic directions. I think they have two pods and are one hour sessions. The place is clean and well kept. You are led to a room that has a pod, waterproof ear plugs, towel, shower, and a bench. There is also a lock. They give you a towel, have hair/body liquid - I forgot to take my own shampoo/conditioner - so I just used that. I also wore my swim suit. So if you are going to bring your swim suit - remember to bring an extra towel/plastic bag to bag your wet swim suit. Also, I recommend bringing slippers for shower if you are not okay with going in the shower or walking around the room bare feet. There are carpet on the floor laid out - but it may be wet - and I don't like that feeling so I rather wear my own slippers. Remember - before you get into the pod - you need to do a thorough shower. Then you can go into the pod. Once you are in the pod - you may be shifting/floating from side to side but eventually will end up being still - of course that is if you are not splashing and moving about. The water is SALT WATER - so you will float but at the same time - watch your eyes when you are in the process of getting out of the pod at the end of your session. Yes, there is a dry towel available just in case you get the salt water in your eyes. BUT also - be mindful that when you are standing up - water from your hair will drip down - so I had to take a few minutes to completely make sure my eyes were salt free. The water felt a bit slimy and has a good scent of aromatic smell - calming and relaxing. Also - if you are your menstruation cycle you cannot go. Also - if you have a small cut/open wounds - it will HURT. So unless it is minimal like VERY tiny, wait until the wound is closed. I didn't think I had a cut - but once I got in - I guess I had a small cut a while back and it was pretty darn painful! And it was a TINY TINY cut! The water I think is about room or body temperature - I forget which - so it is warm. However, for me, I started to feel a bit cold towards the end - not a lot just here and there. But if you move around a bit the warm water will start to come back to you within the pod. They did not have a mirror in the room. They also did not have a hair dryer. I guess it makes sense - so you don't take up so much time getting ready. I brought my own hair dryer - but don't think I was able to find a plug to dry my hair - so I just towel dried my hair. So if the weather is cold - bring a jacket with a hood to keep you warm as you drive back to your home. Oh one last thing - when you are showering after your session - REMEMBER to rinse your ears EXTRA clean! I thought I did a good rinse - but on my way home - I had a bunch of dry salt in my ears!

Float on, float on...it's like that song Modest Mouse sings. Float therapy = most relaxing & amazing experience ever. I came here with a fellow coworker, who told me that this place would totally be relaxing & help release stress. FYI: We both have very stressful jobs. Plus, self care is important. We made reservations on our day off and this location has 2 pods. I've heard of other locations that use an isolation tank and the idea of a tank just scared me. This place uses pods, so that means it's a big enough space and there is mood lighting or colors for your chakra. The location is small and looks like it's part of a business complex. It is very clean! The owner, Maria, is very knowledgeable and friendly! She gave great instructions about float therapy and it's benefits. Once we arrived, it is a totally zen place. From the salt lamps to the background music, you totally feel at peace. Once Maria showed me to my room and pod, she told me anything and everything about safety and the pod. If you go to their website, it is also informative. The floating was amazing. I feel asleep and my coworker says that out of everyone she has taken, I am the first to fall asleep. I told her I must be tired. She tells me it's cause I must be really into the therapy. Always thinking positive! Anyway, I was so at peace and calm. The next few days, I was so chill even at work. Nothing stressed me out despite all the stress happening. I even slept that night like a baby! I will definitely need to come back for more sessions. Don't you worry we'll all float on alright....All float on.

This is a must do. Maria is so nice. She made us feel like we were comfortable and welcome. It felt more like a friend's house than a business. They are very diligent with cleanliness. The space is spotless. Today was my first time. It took awhile for me to settle in, then ahhhhh. 3 hours later I am so relaxed. You can choose total black out, one color or rotating colors. You can also have mediation music over none at all. The pods are large and not claustrophobic. I will come back and bring friends. Try it. I would recommend float therapy

For a first timer, it was a very smooth process. From the moment I walked in Maria made me feel very comfortable. From that point on, everything was perfect and super clean. Can't wait to go back.

But, this is a place where one could leave with some serious skin and/or health issue, it is that bad. i was with MDs here. never again. i had 4 services here and each one was SO terrible (too chatty, bad services. it was painful all around). i found the slippers, towels, robes, showers - even the lockers/seating/walls/toilets/sinks/flooring - NOTHING was clean, just smelly/nasty - much less the amenities and pooled water/all seating. do not waste your money like i did. just YUCK. also why did they have like: zero q-tips, any product, disposable combs - like very basic items any spa always has. like even equinox has this stuff. Also their AC is always broken (we rescheduled twice due to their broken AC - they called us. guess what, we showed up - STILL NO AC it was stifling) so they bring in these loud industrial huge fans. nothing seems/smells clean (say 'green products'...). sadly, so many of the employees sound SO sick with heavy wet coughs/colds. they seem to hate their lives. and there is zero food. lucky to get water if it is not empty. too bad because it could be a nice place if they cleaned, cared, had good services. basic upkeep, and did not let in a gazzilion guests at a time. So much better to pay more at another spa and not contract some serious health issue here. i still tipped well because the employees seem so miserable and overworked/clueless, yet polite. but i want to warn others - do not repeat my mistake by going here (even if someone sends you for free, get a refund, or try a different location).

Highly recommend Hand & Stone, and especially Saripah -- she's a true professional and a wonderful person to work with!

Leaving a 3/5 review. You all need some improvement and that's what I'm giving you space to do. Not…read morecancelling my membership but it's been a hard road. It should be a relaxing thing. It has NOT been. Scheduling isn't easy. I have been met with miscommunication a handful of times, non apologetic and rude attitudes from staff and lost appointments due to masseuse call outs. I want to just say- you need to hire nice people. People who want to be in a customer service position. My motto is pay people a good wage. Aka take care of your employees and they will take care of the customer- maybe that isn't what's happening. I'm not sure but either way it isn't always or often a friendly experience trying to make an appointment or deciding when I'll reschedule because of a cancelled appointment. I just had a call around 4:20ish today with a receptionist whom I was asking for future-state when a masseuse councils coming in and you have to cancel my appointment and you call me to do so and then I asked to reschedule and we choose a time together to be sent a confirmation text message or email that way we're both on the same page because that hasn't been the case multiple times now and she was just like a robot repeating to me that it's an automated thing so I should've just asked her if she knows how to call or send a text but I digress. I told her my appointment was at 5 and she told me it was at 4 and that someone already had an appointment for 5 booked so they couldn't have scheduled that with me. I said look that's what we landed on was 5 pm. Yall canceled my appointment same day, yesterday then I rescheduled and I asked what times were available today I was told a couple times, one being 5. That's what I took. You never sent me a confirmation text or email then all of a sudden I get a text around 2 pm saying see you by 4. No thanks for scheduling. (I was told it's automated) if it's automated why didn't I get a confirmation text when my appointment was rescheduled by your team. Please get it together so I don't need to drive to another location as this one is the closest to my house. I'll be honest trust is low with this location after reading about burns on faces and theft during appointments and the owner never following up.
