Washing machine at home was out of commission. I was a Starcrest customer when they had locations in Cottleville and O'Fallon. I'm not sure why they left. Mostly I want a drive through dry cleaner. I decided to give the laundromat a spin (see what I did there!) So, it's been a long time since I've washed laundry anywhere but at home. I showed up like a rookie with a ziplock bag full of quarters. These new laundromats use cards like Dave and Busters. There's a kiosk to purchase and load money on to the card and you're all set. Again, I haven't used a laundromat in a long time. I really can't speak to fair prices for washing. I had linens and blankets and used the 55lb washer for those and with hot water and heavy wash it cost me about $13.50. The standard machines were about $3, or just a little more for heavy washing and hot water. The dryers are gigantic and held two full size sleeping bags, loads of clothes, and sheets and towels. It took me about 2.5 hours from start to finish. The space is fairly clean as far as laundromats go. The bathrooms were also surprisingly clean. There are vending machines for snacks and drinks. There are small spaces to bring your work. Only downside is there were no outlets, so you'll have to be charged up or have a portable. read more

I thought I would give Starcrest Cleaners on Zumbehl in St. Charles a shout out for their exceptional work. From their Customer Service to whomever actually cleaned and pressed the suits I left in their care, Starcrest did an excellent job. I finally found a new Cleaners. I want to give a special shout out to Mary M. Her customer service was special and was next to none. read more

Second time coming here. My clothes have never fit so well in a washing machine. Extra large machines for extra large loads. You wouldn't believe it if I told you how much clothes I got in this extra large machine. Like, seriously, three regular loads. But that's not the thing though. There was room for another two or three regular loads in that! I shit you not! 23 mins. BOOM! Done! And the dryer! O. M. G. Where do I start!? I could literally wear my clothes, get in the extra large dryer and dry them while I'm wearing them. Comfortably. I'm actually quite certain I could be in there with a friend. Just, tumbling. No heat, of course. Oh!!!!! Did I mention the change machine?? Holy hell, I had a twenty dollar bill that I needed change from. Stuck it in the change machine and tweNTY ONE DOLLAR COINS CAME OUT! Wait wait wait there's more! I also needed quarters so I put in a dollar coin in the same machine and Out Came Four QUARTERS!!!!!!!! FROM THE SAME MACHINE! I mean wtf, am I right!?? THERE'S MORE!!!!********* Coke making? Boom! Done. Pepsi machine? Boom! Done! Water? Done! Gatoraid! Yessir! Snacks? You want some snacks? SNACKS! You ever have a gf that's helping you with laundry and she's tired and she wants to go to the snack machine but it's all the way across the laundromat? They actually have carts for that! Little cart basket wheelie things to comfortably put your tired girlfriend in, then you give it a little kick and Weeeeeeeeeeeee off she goes. Genius! The place is relatively clean, it's comfortable and doesn't feel like it's a place where you'll get stabbed which is a bonus from some other laundromat. The attendant here is nice, very helpful. They have televisions playing. If you're a fan of Jerry Springer you're in luck. Just got asked to leave for kicking my girlfriend across the laundromat in the little cart basket wheelie thing. Still an awesome place. read more

I have never been disappointed with Starcrest. They always do a great job with my suits and have a very quick turnaround! I would recommend!

Amazing service and pricing with quick dry cleaning turn around time. I recommend their services all the time.

So I'm a first timer here. I've been to other dry cleaners in the area - and have typically not gone back. I will definitely return to Starcrest! The staff are all super sweet and professional! They did an amazing job on two pieces that I am re-selling on Poshmark. One was a Diane von Furstenberg sleeveless top that had a black mark on the front inside. The second was a Free People dress with what looked like sort of a water spot on the back. Both items are pricey and delicate. TBH, I get a little nervous when I drop things off at a dry cleaners because I have had such bad experiences (elsewhere). I was just so super impressed with Starcrest! They worked several times on the stains for me. The one on the DVF top is gone...without a trace. The one on the dress is all but gone. A very faint mark remains, but I know they have done the absolute best they can and all of their work is so, so appreciated. Highly recommended! read more

I was happy they finally renovated since many things were always out of order. When they reopened, it was nice but all the prices were pretty high. Then I was happy to discover the dryers were completely free and it still says they are on their website. However today, only about 12 days since I was there last, I see they are now not only charging for the dryers, but a price that ends in a 9. They force you to use their card that you have to preload with money as it is so you're pretty much committed to going there no matter what. I am now since I had no idea they started charging for dryers and I loaded $20 on there. Why in the world would you make it end in a 9, you'll never be able to get your money's worth like that. After this 20 is gone, I'm done with this place. What a joke and btw, many of the dryers are already out of order already and depending on when you go, the dry cleaners next door are typically using most if not all of them so you have to wait. Thumbs all the way down. read more

7/17/20- We are new to the St Charles area & this is an unsolicited review of Starcrest Cleaners on 1860 Zumbehl Rd, St Charles, MO. I'm old school. If you do a great job, you deserve a great review! My wife has a compromised immune system so we had an exceptional need for clean, meticulous service on a same day- wash, dry & fold. Jamie, the owner, answered the phone when I called. He was very attentive, detail oriented & reassured me that all of the precautions we were asking for would be followed. Josie was the young lady who did a phenomenal job with every step of our order which was a size able order as well. Their store was very clean, they were very organized, professional, every detail was followed & it was all completed in a very timely manner. 1st class, very impressive operation from my laundry drop off to picking it up from Grace, who offered to carry the laundry to my car. I found their pricing was right on point- below what I was expecting & certainly less expensive compared to what we had paid in Illinois. Sounds like I was paid to write this but I wasn't- they were that good! PS- 1 complaint, bring cash because you can't tip on their payment processing card reader! Great job to all of you-we will be back! Pat S 1/24/23 I decided the write another review about 2 1/2 years later to re-enforce our previous review & give credit to two of the women that do a phenomenal job for Starcrest Cleaners on Zumbehl Road! Stacy & Samantha are two ladies worth their weight in gold at Starcrest Cleaners! Great attitudes, very professional, knowledgeable & helpful! Excellent job by the owner finding & hiring both of these women. If I owned a business I would hire them instantly- they should both probably be running their own businesses. Very impressive! read more

Very disappointed in recent dry cleaning experiences. A couple weeks ago, lost a pair of my pants...found them after sending me pictures of pants...next visit I brought in 2 full suits and when coming in to pick up, I was told I only brought in 2 suit coats and 1 pair of pants. Couldn't find the pants anywhere until I insisted they had them. Searched in back and found them. Very frustrating... read more

I love a good disappearing act but I prefer one take. If you point out a chocolate stain when you drop off your dry cleaning, the chocolate stain should make like David Copperfield and disappear, the very first time you take it for cleaning. However...there was no Amazing Kreskin performance. No David Blaine street show. The disappearing act was unsuccessful, I might even say unattempted. This chocolate stain appeared untouched. Even after pointing it out at drop-off. So, said chocolate stain garment was left at the cleaners. This took a bit of time that could have been better spent and to top it off, no offer to comp anything. The next morning, another trip to Starcrest to see a disappearing act. Take two is a success. read more

In my opinion, total bait and switch. I've paid 3 different prices for the same shirts (casual, cotton button ups) and each time I was given a different reason. 1) New staff not trained properly 2) The types of buttons on the shirts (they were plastic..) 3) One of the shirts contained polyester (it was 90% cotton/10% polyester) Each visit the prices fluctuated by at least 20%. I asked for a list of prices for different types of garments but they didn't have one to offer which was a huge red flag for me. I was able to get the price down each time due to the lack of confidence the employees had in their reasoning. Prices are higher than in other more urban cities where you think the cost of dry cleaning would be higher. Check and be mindful on the prices you're paying here. Pros: drive thru, quality of dry cleaning was good read more

I come to this laundry facility for a reason, it's convenient. That being said Tonight was a less than favorable experience. The dry-cleaning side has a teenager for an attendant. She is quite rude and more focused in entertaining her friend who is visiting her. She is upset about something and dropping F Bombs like they are free door prizes. I understand she is young, but I don't think she gets the concept of being professional and respectful of patrons using your facility. I'm just saying a little bit goes a long way. read more

Management has made the large washers for store use only, or the machines are mostly out of order. This was at one point the best laundromat in the St. Charles area. It was impeccably clean and customer oriented. It is now the worst...moving on. Management doesn't seem to care. read more

The staff at the Starcrest location in St. Charles has always done a great job with my drycleaning. I recently had an incident where I received back the wrong pair of dress pants When I pointed this out to the Starcest staff, they reimbursed me for the pants and gave me a gift certificate as a "Thank-you". I appreciate the professional attitude and prompt resolution to my issue. I will definitely be using Starcrest again! read more

I travel all over the country and was originally from the area. I dropped off dry cleaning and came back to pick up and was blown away by the ridiculous price. I get it down in downtown Chicago for half the price. My fault for thinking small town St Charles had surpassed Chicago in cost. The girl says it's unfortunate you don't have a coupon. I thought it's unfortunate that your place is overcharging so bad I need a coupon. read more

The employees here are so nice and very helpful. I love how friendly they are and the work they do on my clothes is amazing. Quick turnaround time as well helps me with my schedule. read more

I have used Starcrest several times. They are very good. The problem I have is they are also very expensive. The price they charge is at least twice what I was paying in Chicago before moving here. I have to find another cleaners but really like them. If you can afford it I recommend them. read more

My wife used their laundromat today because our washing machine broke and our new one won't be delivered for a few days. They were closing in an hour, but all she needed was to wash the clothes there as our dryer works fine. The attendant, an old, heavy-set lady, was horribly rude to her about getting out of there by closing time, harassing her repeatedly about it even after my wife told the attendant she would be out by closing time and that she only needed to wash the clothes. We won't need to go back there, but I'll certainly share my wife's experience so others can anticipate show they'll be treated. read more

Ok, I finally quit slacking and loaded up my clothes, comforter and bed pad into my truck and went down the road to Starcrest. Oh my goodness, I love doing my laundry here (that is since I have to do it). I put my clothes in the regular washers, and they were not overloaded like the apartments washers would have been. And the same laundry detergent I used at the apartments actually got sudsy vs not at the apartments. I don't know why that would be, just my observation. I put my comforter and bedding in a big washer. When they were finished, I put it in the 2X dryer. Dry in 30 minutes! When I did laundry at my house, it took an hour, had to take it out and rearrange the thing...back in for another hour. I had the dryer with the moisture sensors too. Did I say I love this laundry mat? It's a must try for your bulky stuff, if not the convenience of getting all your laundry done at once! read more

The overall quality of the dry cleaning service is good but the price is very expensive. I used this location for a month getting my work clothes cleaned each week which included four button up shirts and four slacks. Somehow that ended up being around $40 each time. I have since gone back to the more dated looking, but cheaper dry cleaner by me that is only about $20-25 to clean the same items. I do like that they are open on Sundays and they accept credit/debit for payment as opposed to just cash like other dry cleaners. Also, they have a drive-thru which is very convenient. If you don't mind spending more for your dry cleaning then this is a great place to go to. read more

fast and effective dry cleaning. very friendly staff, and they even have a drive thru.

I have repeatedly asked for crisp crease on my shirt sleeves and 85% of the time the sleeves show no sign of pressing. When they do press the sleeves, they are double to triple creased. I asked the attendant about the issue, she said sometime it is the material of the shirt...give me a break. read more

Received EXCELLENT customer service at a much needed time. Had to have a suit dry cleaned for my father's burial in a very short time. The staff at this location were so accommodating. I really appreciate their willingness and kindness at a difficult time. read more

Note: this review is for the coin laundry, not the dry cleaners. Our new dryer suddenly decided that it no longer wants to dry so we washed all of our clothes in our washing machine, crammed it into the only two baskets we own, and hefted it all to Starcrest. Compared to the other laundromats that I've been to, this place is a palace. Well lit, extremely clean, multiple change machines, large selection of washers & dryers, and plenty of folding space. There was a staff member sanitizing the insides of the washers & dryers while we were there which was a pleasant surprise. It took 30 minutes to dry two normal loads worth of fluffy towels at $1.25 and 24 minutes to dry two normal loads worth of clothing at $1. Amazing! It would have taken me 4-5 HOURS to dry all that laundry at home! Definitely recommend! read more

If you look around our area, you will soon discover that this laundromat is simply the best option if you don't have access to a machine at home. It offers a good location with ample parking and a clean, attended laundry that has clean floors, ample counter space for folding clothes and wide aisles between machines, tables, and dryers. There are a wide variety of machines to choose from, including front-loading to the top loaders. There are more options in terms of the type of wash cycle to choose from than most laundries have, including a heavy duty wash cycle on the top loading washers. There are televisions mounted and counters with stools for doing work with a laptop, complete with its own wifi network. There are vending machines and multiple dollar bill changers there. The facility is well lit and not run down like so many of the other laundries in our area. The restrooms are clean, and there's even a separate smoking lounge for those who choose to smoke while they wait for their laundry. It offers multiple doors that allow you to push for entry and exit so that you don't struggle with your basket and supplies while trying to get in and out of the laundromat. Overall, now that I have found this laundry, I have been there multiple times and at different times of day and I don't plan to go anywhere else--I don't worry about losing my money or finding my laundry stuck in a washer filled with water or ruined in one of the dryers. Take a look for yourself and I bet you won't go elsewhere either. It is no more expensive to wash my clothes there than anywhere else and the pleasant environment is definitely an improvement. The rest pale in comparison. read more

cleaned and pressed my suit, but then hung with the jacket buttoned which made the front wrinkled/lumpy.
