This is location specific. I only come to this one if I'm over here but it's like this location specifically has untrained staff. We get Starbucks 2-4 times a day and this is the only location that consistently says ohhh we don't do that or ohhh we don't have that or that's not a thing here. It's crazy that I can order a drink at so many other Starbucks with no issue and this one never fails to have issues. Please do better in sooo many ways. I've patiently waited for about 10+ visits of the same occurrence before this review. Avoid this location at all costs, something needs to be changed. They are always out of basics, and then recommend a completely different drink as if that makes up for them being out of pretty much everything on the menu. I frequent this location often. It is always clean, neat and tidy. It's also usually pretty quiet. I'm rarely disappointed in my order, occasionally my coffee isn't as good as I'd like it to be, but I don't feel this is worth complaining about. It happens sometimes. As a company, Starbucks is superior when ensuring the customer is satisfied, so just make them aware your order isn't to your satisfaction, I've never encountered a Starbucks employee that wouldn't remake my drink. Now, typically the morning crew has it together! They are usually very busy but they are fast and efficient! I can't always say the same about the afternoon crew. You will still be happy with what your order, but you are going to wait longer for it. read more

Shop is clean and workers are nice, but drinks are 50/50 good or mid. A few times my drink has been under blended and icey, and others it's way too bland but mostly liquid. Sometimes there's a giant pool of caramel sauce at the bottom (yay) or a slight drizzle around the cup and a teeny bit over the whipped cream. read more

I really love that this location is close to home, however this location is so inconsistent in the quality of the drinks. Some days it's too milky and sugary, others too bitter and rarely has it been great. I don't go as often but on some days I'd like to treat myself before work. Ive been to this Starbucks a few times. Yes service can be slow, but it is at all Starbucks, Until today, I've not had an issue here (even though the employees have seemed eternally grumpyP. My gripe is, on my way to work, I went in got a drink for me, my colleague and I got a breakfast wrap for myself. The drinks were fine. But the sleeve for my breakfast wrap was open at both ends, so When I went to get out of my car with it, it fell out and exploded on the ground. The girl working the window absolutely knew as she handed it to me not by the top, but by the middle, which is how I took it from her having no idea. I don't care the sleeve was open at both ends, just tell me so I don't lose the food. It's not that hard. I feel dumb complaining, but it ended up being a waste of money, and it could have been prevented by the girl just saying "Hey be careful with the sleeve" even though getting a non broken sleeve is also easy. But seriously, it's a basic customer service skill. read more

For whatever the reason my drink is always trash and tastes nothing like it should. Often times the coffee tastes old, you can't tell that there is caramel, or white mocha in it. At $7 for grande everyone's drink should taste how they order it. Are there not recipe cards for each drink? A tall, thin young man is the only member on that staff that has made my drink properly. New Starbucks who dis??? Located directly across the street, well kinda from the old location, I am excited that this location is finally open!!! Walked in to a welcoming well lit and refreshing location!! Major upgrades all around!!! Plenty of seating with plenty of space so if you do coffee and chill you are not sitting on top of each other!!!! My iced caramel macchiato was made perfectly and my egg bites were toasted to cooked bacon perfection just the way I like them!!! A bigger plus is they have not Cold Brew and Nitro Cold Brew on tap!!! It was great to see Mo's smiling face along with the smiling faces of the rest of the baristas!!! The wait to order was minimal and I had my drink in my hand in less than 4 minutes which is great to me considering the foot traffic was steady in addition to the line at the drive thru which was moving right along. Lake Ridge Starbucks is new-ish.. The drive up lines enormous. Inside is spacious and tables have been moved aside due to Covid. The orders happen in the back and the air is on. All those are plus points, however it seemed to us that this place does not do order-in well, at all, anymore. We ordered 2 coffees and scones, as well as croissants. Our scones (which we wanted in the plastic wrap) were unsealed - so they were destined to be stale the next morning (or with 4 hours to be succinct) after our barista said "And you want 4 scones in plastic wrap" when we made the order at the cashier. 3 baristas were clueless about a basic coffee cup order. One quipped "I've worked at Starbucks for 30 years, and I don't know how to cope with this coffee." Um: Say what?? The coffee for my girlfriend, was not a 'White Chocolate Mocha' but rather just a sludge of milk with chocolate - essentially thick chocolate molasses. That was after both the receipt and the sticker on the drink read: 'White Choco Mocha'. How hard is it to brew a cup?? So, we got home 20 minutes later and our entire morning is shot - because baristas at Lake Ridge are dopey and tired, or simply can't read! Starbucks these days hires mopey grouchy moody baristas that slouch around, get free college, wear obscene t-shirts that advertise sex etc., belittle clients, moan and groan through your visit - or at least that was Lake Ridge - and then very openly make you the entirely WRONG coffee you pay $16 for in the end. Where's our token of appreciation for being a neglected and during-Covid19 visiting customer? Perhaps you'll thanks us, by yanking our rewards stars early or hiking the prices? This is a nice newer Starbucks with plenty of space divided up into casual seating groups, a long table to work at and a separate area filled with two person tables. Service is fast efficient and friendly. Baristas will actually go out of their way to engage you in friendly chit-chat as they take your order or make it. This is the way every Starbucks SHOULD be, but seldom is. Kudos to management! read more

This Starbucks is the worst. It used to be hit or miss but the past 10 times we have gone recently it has consistently let us down. Not only do you have to wait forever in the drive thru, if you go in to pick up an order their mobile ordering system is extremely difficult. They don't have the drinks viewable and/or in alphabetical order like I have seen at most others. So many drinks just sit there. I'm not sure how/what they are following to make the drinks but we are constantly getting skimped on the drinks and they end up tasting like garbage. The Starbucks off Hoadly and the one off the parkway next to cold stone definitely know what they are doing and I guess I will just make the trips out to one of those moving forward. read more

This location is located off Old Bridge Rd so it's very convenient for me while on my way to work.Always go to the drive thru line since it's more convenient and I'm always provided with excellent service from the baristas.From being greeted at the speaker to accurately receiving my order and getting my order in a timely manner,not once I've had an issue with this Starbucks.They always make my drink just the way I like too especially when I give them complicated drink orders sometimes haha.However,the only issue I have with this location is that it's hard to get in and out of sometimes and the drive thru line can be crazy at times as well. read more

I would say this is your typical starbucks. Nothing amazing about it. Hit or miss on good friendly customer service. It really just depends on who's working. I usually go through the drive thru so I can't speak on the face to face interaction. My drinks are always good so no complaints there. What I will say is that this is a slower to check you out starbucks. It doesn't get crazy busy but it does take some time to get your order. I've been to plenty of starbucks with higher traffic and the workers get the line moving pretty quickly but not here. I'll continue to come to this starbucks because it's conveniently on my way to work. I will also continue to give myself 5-10 minutes extra on my morning commute for the slowpokes working the drive thru. read more

The cashier took about 10 minutes to ring me up which was ridiculous, if you're new I get it but she was acting like she knew everything and then took a long time. We ordered our drinks and breakfast sandwiches and we didn't get our sandwiches for like another 10 minutes and they had given us the wrong ones... it was super annoying I don't come to Starbucks to be here for 20 minutes I come for a quick snack or drink. I've been to a decent amount of Starbucks in the NOVA area as my job is a lot of traveling and the blonde roast is always a delicious cup of coffee! I have been to this location several times and greeted with a huge smile, a "good morning!", and even a compliment on my shirt. If you need more of a morning pick me up than just coffee, come to this location! It makes all the difference and a great start to the day. read more

I just went in to get a drink. It said cash only, which was fine, because I had cash. There was absolutely no one in the drive thru or in the establishment. There were 8 employees having the time of their life. They refused to acknowledge me for several minutes. One guy walked passed and angrily said someone will be with you...Well there's 8 people standing there doing nothing...After that I waited another 5 minutes, no one would serve me. Went in to use one of my rewards to order a frappuccino. No one is in line so I walk up to the register. Barista comes to the counter and I try to start ordering. Me - "Can I get a Venti" Barista - "No" I look around to see if he was talking to someone else or maybe misunderstood me but he is looking me straight in the eyes. Me - "Can I" Barista - "No no no" I give him a confused look while he just stands there smiling at me. I figure at this point that he is just not going to serve me so I start walking out. He calls out to me and tells me he was just joking and to come back. I make it outside and see that he is waving at me to come back in. I don't know what this employee's problem was. I'm not his friend nor do I even know him. I rarely come to this location. I can confidently say that I have never in my life been treated so rudely in a retail establishment. Nice new Starbucks... Definitely a million times better than the location this one replaced, which was Hedges Run, in the plaza and was the first one in PWC, opened 20+ years ago. Horrid coffee! Tastes totally BURNED! Why is that when they use dehydrated coffee from packs mixed with water?! I used to come here and quit a year ago becuz the baristas sucked so badly. Came in today only becuz the store closest to me closed early without telling customers. Thomas, the barista I got stuck with, was rude as fuck. So much rudeness four days before Christmas! I've been going to various locations forever and today the the worst experience ever. Usually Starbucks employees are super outgoing and friendly! I decided to treat myself to a holiday drink while my husband had a nearby dentist appointment. I ordered my drink and the young lady at the register was very polite. I then went to use the restroom. When I came back I waited a reasonable amount of time. Still no one called my name. Do they not do this anymore or at this location? Why do they ask your name then? Finally I started to look at the cups sitting on the counter. I turned one cup to read the name and was promptly reprimanded! "Those are mobile orders"! How was I to know? There was no sign giving me that information. I double checked. Then she shouted to the barista " can we get this drink in a clean cup!" She never once asked me about my drink or my name. Just ignored me. FYI. They never did call my name. After a few more minutes of patience on my part, a pumpkin spice latte appeared on the counter. Went through the drive-thru today and my rep at the window was absolutely rude. I ordered a venti dragon fruit drink and asked for them to put it in a trenta cup with extra ice and fill the remainder with water. Why do I do this? The drink is too sweet for me but I want to get the amount I paid for. When I got to the window she told me that if I do this again I'm gonna have to get charged extra and pay the price of a telrenta... excuse me, why would I pay for a trenta when I'm getting the dragon fruit drink amounting too a venti? So I explained to her, what's the difference between what I asked for and asking for a trenta cup of ice water? This is one less cup to deal with. And she said I was trying to cheat the system... again, I will remind y'all that I paid for a venti dragonfruit drink with the normal amount of ice and dragonfruit that they normally use, and asked for it to be put in a trenta cup instead of a venti cup and to top it off with water. How is that cheating the system??? Her response was for me to ask for less dragon fruit drink and top it off with water in a venti cup so it's not too sweet. This is the dumbest answer ever. So you want me to pay for a venti dragonfruit drink but actually get less dragonfruit drink that what normally comes in a venti size? You dumb fuck, that sounds like Starbucks cheating me. I never ever ever encountered this issue anywhere. In fact, it was a Starbucks employee that told me to order a drink and ask for it to be placed in a bigger cup with more water if I don't like it sweet... fire that girl, she's a mess and she should not be representing Starbucks ever. He interrupted with "Do you want food" I started again "May I have a chai tea with..." Again he interrupted with "Do you want food??" THIS WENT ON FOUR TIMES The fourth time I said "I am trying to place my order!" Again he interrupted and said "I just want to know if you want food because I'm standing by the oven!" I was tempted to leave the line and drive away. When he passes my my drink it was like a no look (and no acknowledgement) pass with my drink and my Starbucks card in one hand.
