This location is a regular stop for my fiancé and I when we travel through Waynesville MO in need of a caffeine pick me up, and we have never received better service than this time! We were helped by the new GM of the cafe who made our somewhat complicated orders absolutely PERFECT! We always order two venti Carmel Ribbon Crunch Frappuccino's; one with extra whip inside and both with extra carmel crunch toppings on the top as well as inside of the drinks. This is why I call our order somewhat complicated because most baristas get confused at this point, and only give us extra crunch toppings on the top of the drinks. The rockstar GM barista not only gave us extra on the top, but did something none has ever done for us before.. she took the lid off of the topping shaker and actually put LAYERS of the crunches inside our drinks AND on the bottom of them too!! I was like: WAAAT?! We didn't have any cash to tip her, and unfortunately, I think because the store is located inside of a shopping center, we couldn't find the option to tip her on the Starbucks app either. But girl if you are reading this, we travel through MO often and will remember to bring cash next time! With her quality service, she deserves not only a decent 20-25% tip, but also a friggin RAISE. Even with her being the ONLY worker there at the time we popped in, she worked as fast as she could and we had our drinks in hand in about 5 minutes. Sure, there aren't any plushy couches, bean bags, or bohemian music playing--because it's located in a grocery store, duh! Do you ever see couches at the Starbucks location in Target stores? No. I worked the food service industry over 15 years, and know well the ups and downs and lefts and rights. I have faith she has the experience to turn this location into a 5 star spot in no time. This location definitely has lived up to the prior reviews. They are extremely slow! My bf is new to coffee and he wanted a black coffee that was caffeinated. I typically always place my orders online but this time, we went inside to order since the app doesn't show (or at least I didn't see it) which coffees are decaf or caffeinated. I get to the counter and I asked the guy which one of the brews are caffeinated and he told me all of them....now sir, you have decaf and caffeinated. If you don't know just say that. After asking someone else, we finally got the right brew and then I placed my order. The guy repeatedly asked my order as if he didn't understand me and it wasn't that difficult. It took 20 minutes to get two drinks. Two women were already in line when I walked up. Both only had one drink. 3 people were working....what is the problem? Now, this location is inside of a grocery store. Because I'm not from there, I can't remember the name of it but it gives you the feel of a grocery store Starbucks. Tiny location just inside the entrance to Price Cutter Plus supermarket. Service is slow as chilled molasses, there is no scanner for SBUX reward cards (but the cashier will gladly type it in manually (slowing the process even more). The seating area consisted of several hard tables lined in the center of the store; no plush sofas, high tops, cozy fireplace, chillaxing tunes, dim lighting or cool artwork. They offer a small assortment of ceramic mugs, tumblers & coffee bags/tea blends for sale. Oh and obviously drive-thru is not an option at this teeny weeny satellite location. I really wished I could've waited for the next SBUX during this road trip. But a girl needs her fix when it hits. ~Christy read more

Man, I do not like giving 1-2 star reviews. Especially when I've been in here 5-6 times. This isn't your typical Starbucks. It's in a Price Cutter grocery store. Definitely seen some of Waynesville's finest in the parking lot, but the employees seem nice. Apparently, they work for the store though. I wait in line 15 minutes with only 2 people ahead of me because 1) the lady in front of me told her there were flies stuck in the pastries case) 2) they screwed up the 2 drinks in front of me 3) they were just slow. They do however take your rewards card on your phone. They just have to type it in. You will not get a treat receipt right now. (Like I didn't ever get one all the times I went) this is the only Starbucks (unless you have access to Ft. Leonard Wood there is one on base now.... Lucky!) the next Starbucks is either Eureka area (StL) or Joplin (I'm not sure maybe Springfield has one?) still 100 miles in any direction. I understand if you go, because I will probably still come back due to the lack of options, but you have been warned. read more

I was never a Starbucks fan in the past because I believed in supporting the small family owned mom & pop coffee joints. Then Starbucks came out with the Java Chip Frappuccino and I frequented Starbucks once again just to have that drink. So now I am a gold card holder and I have been paying the premium prices for coffee for quite some time now. The thing that Starbucks prides themselves on is consistency- that a vanilla latte from Starbucks will be the same in Japan or Germany or the U.S. The vanilla latte is not the same, however, if you get it from this Starbucks inside Price Cutters in Waynesville. The service is most certainly not to the Starbucks standard, nor are the beverages. Unfortunately, there are no mom & pop coffee joints in the area to support. Why pay a premium price for a coffee when the result is a subpar beverage with service that matches the poor quality of the drink? No thanks. I'll find another way to get my caffeine. read more

Second stop here traveling from Indianapolis to Joplin. Both times I have waited FOREVER with only two people in front of me in the queue. This time was extra offensive as I waited only to discover my drink was ready but they never called my name. They even looked at me several times and didn't acknowledge me! Seriously people, I'm in a hurry to get this nine hour drive over with and I'm so annoyed that I am taking the time to type this review from the Price Cutter parking lot! Never again! This Starbucks is located inside of the Price Cutters grocery store. It's small, and yes, there is usually a wait. The baristas are so sweet and personable, they will go out of their way to make you happy - especially young children. When I walk up they're already writing down my order and filling up a small cup with whip cream for my daughter. This isn't a corporate store so no, they don't offer everything a normal Starbucks would. I'm just glad they offer the same specials! *UPDATE* After the original baristas left, they were replaced by snobby teenagers who can't possibly be bothered with making coffee. When I do go in, and that's not very often, they find some way to mess up the simplest of orders. Take your money to Luna! read more

I normally like going to this Starbucks as everyone is always very friendly but the last few times I've been here the girl making the drinks, Sarah I think was her name, was extremely rude. She acted like she didn't want to be there and made it very known to the customers. She made my drink incorrectly the first time which wasn't a big deal until I told her and she acted like I just insulted her existence. Jesse, the boy taking the orders, was very nice. Every time I go to this one it's only because I'm inside price cutter buying water. I once ordered a Frappuccino with extra caramel and no mocha drizzle. The cashier didn't seem to understand and didn't give me whip and I told her I wanted whip no mocha and it was extremely watery for it just being made. Whenever I order teas or refreshers I ask for lemonade instead of water and no ice because I realized you get nearly nothing when getting it with ice even when ordering a Trenta. The other Starbucks don't mind and don't mind when I order a cup of ice to go along with it they know why and are happy to give me what I want. Well when I did that here they charged me for the lemonade substitute and no one else does. Then I heard the manager say something under her breath after I pleaded my order and said that I should've been charged for the ice. They're rude every time like I get it you hate your job but nobody said you have to work here. I didn't pay nearly $6 for a drink with a side of attitude. Just today I ordered a hot chocolate and it was the nastiest hot chocolate ever and the one who made it was rude. I hate going to this one because they try to charge you for anything and everything and they never make the drinks right. I travel all over the USA and I go to Starbucks every morning if there is one anywhere near me. I have been buying the same drink every day for the last 4-5 years and I don't remember ever leaving a bad review on a Starbucks store before, but this was a very poor experience and it seemed to be a normal occurrence to the employees that were there. Both employees seemed to be very unhappy with their job and never smile and actually smarted off when I ordered my drink because the drink that I get every morning is my own special creation. The employee making the drink started trying to figure out how he could charge me more for the drink than normal. I explained to him that I have been getting this exact same drink all across the country and no other Starbucks charged extra for the drink that I was ordering. Jason, the employee at this Particular Starbucks just glared at me and told the girl at the register never mind just charge him the regular price and rolled his eyes and acted like he took it very personal and was very upset about me not being OK with the extra charges that he was trying to add to an already OVER priced drink. After going back and reading what I have just put in this review, it doesn't sound nearly as bad of an experience as it really was in person. I will just never go back to this location if I'm in this area again. read more

Girls are nice, had some trouble getting my rewards, and unfortunately the girl didn't really know how to make my drink (iced cinnamon dolce latte). The Starbucks is inside PriceCutters grocery. A lot of seating, wifi is good, quite, considering it's in a grocery store. Drinks are Starbucks drinks, all depends on who makes it. Be very particular and watch closely, most of the employees are teens who care less. I've been to better and I've been to worse. This is the only coffee/ tea establishment for about 25 miles, besides another Starbucks and panera. read more

I have been to this Starbucks once before, 2 weeks after they opened, and they were VERY slow. I was very wary about stoping this time, after reading the recent reviews, but I've driven 100 miles and this is the first Starbucks on 44 and the last till Springfield. So, here I must stop. It was about 12:45 on a Wednesday they had like 6 customers inside and a car or two in the driveway, so they were dead, I'm used to city Starbucks with 30 people in line . First they had plenty of people working 3-4 maybe 5 I didn't pay all that much attention. Second, the gal at the register who I believe was a manager was very cool my bday was last month and I was on a diet that restricted everything to the point that I could not get my drink and it expired I showed it to her and she gave it to me any way. Much awesomeness to her. Third, I got my drink in the normal amount of time I didn't feel like I waited to long and I didn't feel like I got it super quick. Fourth, and the reason that they didn't get 5 stars... the gal made and then handed me my drink. She called out caramel macchiato, I ordered a skinny caramel macchiato quad. So when I walked up to the counted I asked her if it was skinny she snootily replied yes. Then I asked if it was quad again a rude reply to the affirmative. Then she said I can read. Ok so I was really nervous about going into this Starbucks but now I love coming here. There barista's are amazing and they make the drinks pretty good (the Rico barista is the best at making them). This is a small Starbucks right now but I am told it is to be expanded within 6 months to better handle rewards. There is occasionally a wait but the baristas are really super and actually try to get to know you if you are a repeat customer as I am.
