This is a drive through only coffee, tea, and energy drink spot. They have a ton of flavors to make unique combinations. We told the girl it was our first time and asked what she recommended. I wanted coffee and she immediately went to their Blonde, Brunette, or her favorite which was an iced coffee with salted caramel, vanilla, and white chocolate. I decided to try the later without the white chocolate. My fiancé got a hot chai with flavors she sped through so quick, I can't recall now. Our items were ready in minutes and we were told to have a nice day before we even paid. We kindly mentioned and they looked embarrassed. Both items were EXTREMELY sugary and sweet. Coffee was almost white. Note to self, try way less flavors next time and trust my instincts on what I'd like.

The rain put a real damper on everything and there never seemed a good place to stop today, but finally we got a break in the weather and CDR Naturals popped up in Bourbon, close to the freeway and a description loaded with promise. Coffee bar, smoothies, juice bar, organic groceries etc. What we found when we stopped was a delightful family run store with friendly owners and a super personal approach. Bourbon is a tiny town and everyone who came in while we were there was welcomed by name. The coffee bar has two stools and no dairy on hand so we enjoyed expressos with almond milk and a vegan milk chocolate bar. Our well behaved pup was welcomed and water provided. It was a wonderful break from an endless road and a reminder of all the corners where life happens in a slow, agreeable way.
