Apparently a venti is not 20fl oz as advertised. If you go often enough your muscle memory kicks in at an expected weight when you lift up your cup. I rarely go through drive through for this reason, but this day I was in a hurry to get home. I did not drink anything as I wanted to weigh my purchase on a food scale. 17.6 oz incl cup, lid and sleeve. Post drink, the weight of the cup, lid and sleeve is 1 oz. This is the Starbucks to avoid--sadly no competition in Watsonville, though. I say this after many visits at different times and days and the same results each time. It has the longest wait times of any Starbucks anywhere, and I am including the airport! Every time I go here, there are 4-5 employees who look bored, almost no customers (except those waiting and waiting for the mobile orders to be completed), and still it take at least twice as long for orders as any other Starbucks, like 15 minutes. If your drink or food order is wrong, it is another 15 minutes. Although, do check your order because I have come home with the wrong order. When I did turn around and drive back one time, though, I was given a 5.00 gift card and the right drink. I understand there is a drive-through, but I go to other Starbuck's with drive throughs that don't have this problem. Something is just off at this location. Iced Honey Almond milk flat white is my favorite drink at Starbucks, it's consistent and only under 250 calories. What can I say, about this coffee chain other than they all look the same, the experience is the same. It's next to my gym, so very convenient location. Service here is always quick and efficient. I'm not much of a coffee drinker, but once I discovered they have healthier options I started coming here. Thank you and I look forward to my next visit. read more

When it comes to Starbucks, you need to always consider the usual busy because it is popular. Today was not busy by usual standards and the girl at the window must have been having a bad day because I asked for something at the window which was a last minute add on (pup cup). She let me know to ask when ordering next time. That was surprising. It was a last minute order and pretty sure that's not customer service for the window or company in general. This review is for the Starbucks at the corner of Main/Green Valley near the Nob Hill Market. I went there early morning on Monday January 15, 2024. I was pretty happy they have a drive-thru and was impressed that the quality of the sound was really good and they had a nice big screen to show what I ordered. I'm glad I am familiar with the Starbucks menu because the outside menu at the drive-thru can not be read because of the condensation on the glass/plexiglass/plastic. Probably gets better during the day. The man that took my order was very professional, had a pleasant and clear speaking voice, and clarified anything I may have been a bit vague on (cream vs. half and half). If my review stopped here I would have given FIVE stars. However, when I pulled around to pay this young NEVER made eye contact with me. This is a huge faux pas in my book when it comes to customer service. (This first ding against this young man). He opened the window and saw I had a card in my hand, no "good morning" at this point and promptly shoved some kind of keypad device at me. I looked confused and was confused since the card I have is my "old school" gold Starbucks loyalty card (which I was pretty sure didn't go in these machines). He said "oh" and retracted the keypad device and took my card, ran it through the machine, and handed the card back to me. No offer of a receipt (another ding against this young man). I then waited a minute or so for my order. As this was not an incredibly busy morning, perhaps due to the MLK Holiday, the window between us closed and like I said, I waited. I am really more used to the window people interacting with the customer when they wait, but this young man was more interested in chitter chattering with his workmates (another ding against this young man). Lastly, when he handed me my food and drink, there was still no eye contact and no frivolous chatter like "here we go decaf americano with a splash of cream and your impossible breakfast sandwich". He said absolutely nothing! I would have asked for a napkin but he had turned away so quickly it was easier to wipe my hands on my pants later and call it a day. As a I pulled away he sarcastically/with imposition/annoyed said "Have a nice day!" It was such an odd remark to hear since he hadn't made any communication attempt with me since I had come up to the window. I left feeling like I had done something wrong. (Last and final ding against this young man and this Starbucks location). I get it that it is hard for businesses to find help these days but how about somebody train these people that work inside Starbucks. Just before noon sat in line at the drive-through for several minutes and ordered a Cappuccino and a Frappuccino. When I arrived at the window, she was unable to break a $100 bill and suggested I go to CVS to cash it. Which I reluctantly did. The manager there said my "we're getting so many hundred dollar bills today" and I could've thrown you under the bus, but I didn't. I can't believe I was actually dumb enough or desperate enough for caffeine to go to CVS to cash $100 bill and then go sit in line again to get my drinks. First of all right off the bat to the people that are upset about the long lines and prices; really? Yes it's expensive but what do you expect it's Starbucks, nobody is going in there blind. And that's not an insult IT'S A FACT OF LIFE YEAH!! Sometimes it gets busy and sometimes the staff seem exhausted or rushed. But overall I've never had a problem with my order, then again i'm a simple guy and order a caramel Frappuccino. I can't say I'm a huge fan of the brand since I'm a casual coffee drinker. Tried ordering and asked a simple question and the person (Kimberly) was very rude . No good customer service.

Only reason I'm even giving 2 stars is because 3 out of 5 times they actually make my drink correctly (it's a signature drink with no modifications) but their food is gross!!! How can an establishment even think this is okay (picture below). I understand ads and menu boards show perfectly put together food but this was probably the most shocking difference I've seen and the flavor matched the crappy photo one as well read more

This is one of my favorite Starbucks locations to visit. For one, the baristas are always kind and helpful, and they are very hardworking. I find that this location is also really good for studying. There is lots of space, and by my count, there are about 7 outlets inside to plug in your charger, where as I had visited a location in Pacific Grove that only had 2 outlets inside. It is nice that the bathroom needs a code to get inside, so not anyone can go in, thus the bathrooms are pretty clean as pictured. The sink space is open to everyone though, and there is an interesting faucet that combines soap, water, and air dryer. We don't need to go into the differences between air dry and paper towel dry, but I appreciated the cleanliness of the set up. Apart from that, this location is open from 5am till 11pm which is good for studying, especially if I am waiting to grab my girlfriend from work afterwards as she works late. If anything, the location does get busy in the morning, so if you are mobile ordering, make sure you do so early to make sure that you get it in time before heading to where you need to go. But I would highly recommend this location. Go check them out! read more

I came here with my son this morning for my birthday drink. Of course my son spills his hot chocolate all over, and I feel absolutely awful about it. I believe the person who helped me was David, and they were very sweet and understanding and didn't make me feel bad about it at all. They even made another hot chocolate for my son. I have tried to give this startbucks a try time after time after time. The staff is very friendly however, their drinks are just not good. I have order everything from hot chocolate that tastes like water, a long with refreshers that also taste like water. Today I placed an order for a shaken expresso, that tasted like water milk. One of the orders had to be modified while there by the person picking up the order for me because it was not what she ordered. Although this is the closest coffee shop to my work place, this will be the last time I waste my money at this facility or maybe at starbucks all together. Its just no worth it. read more

I am giving 5 stars for the employees there today; I was in about 11AM just ordered a tall latte and a snack for my granddaughter but I was pleasantly surprised by their cheerful attitude and the politeness in her voice and the way she took our order......such a nice encounter and to top it off the young lady making and handing out the drinks was as cheerful and pleasant as the employee who took our order. It's the week of Thanksgiving and I had made 7 stops around town with my 4-year-old granddaughter and 14-month-old grandson and it was just such a nice encounter on such a busy shopping day, I wish I had gotten their names so I could mention them directly.
