Love their icre cream selection as well! Cookies and cream is my go to, gives Thriftys vibes. We also like their aguas frescas and tostilocis all made with very fresh ingredients. The owners are also very friendly, they have rung us up several times and are very personable which we appreciate.

So driving through the Aptos "hood" yesterday there it was right in front of me. It must have been a sign:-). Luckily for me most of the memorial weekend crowd/ tourists were at the beach a couple of miles away because the place was relatively quiet. So this is a to-go type of ice cream stop. And by that I mean you can order at three different windows which may or may not all be open depending upon the crowd size. There was only one window open today. This is manned by kids. High school kids it looks like. They are doing a relatively good job and are working so who can complain about that. You cannot go inside because there is no inside for customers. However after you order there are a few tables. If there was a large crowd it is first come first "sit". According to the information and signage... batches of the most popular ice creams are made daily right here. I ordered two scoops for $10... a Sea Salt Caramel and a Banana Chocolate Chip. Both were very good. Thick, creamy and went down easy :-). If you are in the neighborhood, I recommend this for a delicious stop! There is plenty of parking because it is located in a large shopping complex. Oh and by the way... if you are shorter than 40 inches you get a free ice cream cone! I tried my hardest but 5 feet 2 inches did not cut it. :)

Vanilla ice cream & fudge, nothing else... but boy oh boy do they make the best vanilla ice cream around, in the USA, & get it with the chocolate dipped waffle cone & today ordered it with the medium size waffle cone & just realized they don't have that sized in dipped chocolate. Sadly... but still worth ordering it! Their fudge is to die for & highly recommend! Have not been in person, & if it had not been for DoorDash I would have not ever known about this place!Pray this place stays in business for decades upon decades! I'll be in the store soon to check it out in person!

Cold Stone Creamery, Santa Cruz, CA. August, 2026. Our first time to a Cold Stone Creamery in…read moreyears -- and our visit to this one in Santa Cruz was very good. My husband went in, while I waited on a bench watching our sleeping granddaughter in her stroller. I told my husband that I didn't want anything, but I'd take a bite of whatever he ordered. Famous last words. He ordered the Cookie Doughn't You Want Some, that featured French vanilla ice cream with chocolate chips, cookie dough, fudge, and caramel. It was available in three sizes -- the smaller Like It for $7.49, the Love It for $7.99, and Gotta Have It for $8.49. He selected the medium size, with two spoons please, anticipating that this would be a good size for the two of us to split as he guessed that I would be eating more than one bite. He was right! What's particularly special about Cold Stone ice cream is that the fillings are mixed into the ice cream so you get the taste of the fillings with most bites. Both of us still prefer hard ice cream to Cold Stone's soft, and I tend to prefer a chocolate base, but overall this was a nice treat while we waited for baby to wake up. The restaurant was clean, and the girl at the counter was friendly and helpful. We would order from here again.

First night, ordered like I always have, tasted it... not so flavorful and if you know me, if it looks horrible but, the flavor is out of this world... that is all that matters. The second time, much better with the exact same ingredients but, guess how much this "like it cup" came up to? $22! I had to repeat my order close to 8 times since the gentleman couldn't recall, I'm assuming he was nervous, but when I ordered it two nights ago it was not $22 and the owner was right by the register when the young woman rung me up. Don't think I'll be back for... let's say... another decade or longer. Should have gone to a mom and pops ice cream shop in Santa Cruz instead. Hit up Mariann's ice cream or Penny ice Creamery.
