If you've been to one baskin robbins, you've been to them all. Isn't familiarity the appeal of any chain? This baskin robbins could easily have been the one I went to in Santa Cruz as a child, and I felt pretty good about that. Although I must admit I don't eat much junk food like I use to, but every now and then I will have the occasional ice cream (mint chocolate chip is my favorite) Not the world's greatest ice cream, but baskin robbins is a solid choice if you want a wide variety of flavors to choose from and you don't feel like going all the way to Penny's ice cream in downtown Santa Cruz, customer service could be better, but i feel sorry for the employees that work here having to watch and listen to customers agonizing over life-changjng choices between: Chocolate, Chocolate chip or Chocolate fudge. Overall when most business refuse to progress baskin robbins is always finding new ways to keep up with the times. Next time when I stop by I will try their yogurt. read more

Came in to buy a few single scoops, a cake, and pints to take home for a birthday party my family was having the following day. I walk in after a family has already gotten their ice cream and I am the only 1 in the store. I was greeted by a girl who was already working on some Togo orders. The other young lady starts washing 2 blenders, I'm waiting patiently, mind you still the only one in the store. The other young lady who greeted me is scooping and working away. The blender girl once done washing the blenders, then goes and starts restocking the cups...again still just standing there, still the only 1 in the store. She then turns makes eye contact with me and starts getting ready to replace the ice cream tubs in the freezer. At this point I've been standing there for going onto 10 minutes just waiting. I finally give up, let them know since they seem so busy I'll be back. The second I leave another family comes in and blender girl starts helping them right away. If this is how they are going to be treating paying customers, then ill continue and go elsewhere. I received beautiful and friendly service at the Mexican ice cream shop down the street and I had to wait there as well, but I was acknowledged and greeted. They will now be keeping my business. Please train your employees to not pick and choose customers. That's not ok. read more
