Lola was incredible we happen to go in when the Wi-Fi was down and no orders were taken via the app and in store orders were not able to tie to points or print receipts. She was apologetic friendly and patient through it all , a line formed in the chaos and she carried on friendly kind and positive! You don't see that type of service especially when her WiFi/ system was not working . Not to mention how great the Bundt cakes were read more

Very, very un-friendly service 9/25 in the afternoon. No Hello may I help you. I asked for a fork, "we don't have any". My 3 cake order was placed in a small brown paper bag, that was too small to accommodate order. Cake always good, service sucks. read more

I first came to know about this bakery when I lived in Silicon Valley. I moved over the hill over 2 years ago and was so excited to find this location in Capitola. The shop was clean and full of cute items just like the other stores. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because they have stopped offering samples. They claim it's because of COVID but it's 2023 now and salad bars and buffets are open again, so why no samples? I think they just want to save money. read more

I echo earlier comments. The customer service is HORRIBLE! I usually order on line but after being gifted the holiday chocolate covered strawberry bundtlet I stopped by the store. My questions were answered with unhelpful one word responses. I do love these cakes but not sure I can tolerate being treated like this. read more

Absolutely the worst customer service I've ever experienced. Why would you ever buy a cake there. I can buy cake anywhere and I do love their cakes but I will never go back to that store again. I am not going to be treated like an inconvenience. read more

I really wonder why you would work the counter when you obviously don't like customers. Like your product but both times I have been in your store I have met the sourest most unfriendly service imaginable. Like hurry up and order and get out. Sad. I am not needing attention or special service but I do expect to be treated with respect. read more

Haven't been in there in awhile. Got a rude girl who helped me. They aren't taking there punch cards anymore. God forbid you give back to the customers who keep you open. It was my birthday. I wanted the Banana Bundt cake but od course they didn't have any. She said they sell fast. Asked for a chocolate chip. Noticed they had gluten free up on top.She grabbed mine from the bottom. I asked how long for the Banana she said 3 hours. You would think the would could more than they are. Went back in 2 hours and got one. It didn't feel warm. Asked for e tra icing which was a dollar for a squirt. Went home. Didn't notice until I got home she gave me a gluten free Chocolate Chip bundt cake. She didn't either obviously. To busy being rude. Had my Banana bundt the next day. It was awful. It was burnt on the bottom and only received a spoon full of pudding. Needless to say it was garbage and the extra frosting I paid for. This place is awful. They have gone downhill. Went in yesterday to talk to a manager no one there and another rude girl who waited on me. The manager won't be in until tomorrow. I am not going to waste my time on a business that doesn't know how to run one. I am sure they have lost a lot of customers by never having what they advertised. Good riddens. read more

When I went, I received good customer service from a male employee that was working alone. My order for pick up was ready when I went. I asked him a few questions and he answered politely without looking annoyed. The cupcakes were delicious. LOVE, Nothing Bundt Cakes on Meridian in San Jose. The young man who assisted me delivered the best service, great manners, very professional. Sorry that I didn't get his name, I would have really liked to have given him the proper recognition. Their mini bundts were excellent!! read more

So so SO delicious. We ordered from here two weekends in a row (birthday cake for a private dinner followed by cupcakes for a party the next weekend) and both orders were impeccable. Online ordering was easy peasy, pickup was perfect, presentation was beautiful, and the TASTE!! We got compliments out the wazoo. Everything ranging from "this is the best cupcake I've ever eaten" to a knowing, "now *this* is what quality frosting tastes like..." Also lucky me, we somehow had leftovers and they kept in the fridge amazingly well. I'm on day 3 of cupcakes and they still taste delicious and fresh. 10/10 would recommend this place. Yow~sah......this place ROCKS!!!!! Their bundts are so yummy; I truly didn't expect it. They usually have a little tester table so if you happen to be around, don't hesitate. We ordered the smallest Bundt cakes for my daughter's birthday party. Then we had to postpone the party, due to Covid. Stopped by on June 4th at 4:30 pm with my sister to try a small cake but we were instead welcomed with the worst customer service. The employees attitude completely ruined our experience and we definitely don't feel welcomed to come back. We were still navigating the menu when we asked the employee a question and we were instantly greeted with a inpatient tone and a stare filled with judgement. I understand that everyone has their bad days but this employees attitude to us was completely biased and it was clear to see how her attitude shifted when the next customer came in. I don't want to believe this was racially motivated but there was an obvious difference in her service to us vs the next customer. There needs to be some bare minimum standard set for customer service set at this establishment Im sure service at Burger King is better. read more

I ordered cakes for my friends birthday a week ahead of time for a delivery between 11am-2pm. I called that day and left a message to check in on the status of my order. No one called me back. I called again after the delivery window twice and someone picked up. She said it was crazy and she didn't know or have any idea when my order would be delivered. When I asked if it was possible to pick it up and she said yes, however, when I asked her if it was in the shop she checked and it was not there, making that impossible to do. I called back again 2.5 hours later and had to call many times before the phone was picked up. I told the employee that picked up that I would like a refund because my order still hadn't been delivered. She asked my last name and told me that the delivery guy said he was right outside my house (this turned out to not be the case either as he was not at my house) Again I asked for a refund because it was already 4:30. I was placed on hold and then was asked for my name and number so a manger could call me back, which I provided, understanding that it most likely needed to be done by a manager. She asked again if I had received my order, and I had not reiterating no longer wanting it and wanting a refund. At 5pm the delivery driver essentially doorbell ditched the order on my doorstep, well after I contacted the store. I ran out and shouted (so he could hear me) that I was getting a refund and to please take them back, but he ignored me, got into his car, and drove away. I understand that there is a lot going on right now but it is the lack of communication and the poor customer service that I am unhappy with. It would have been appreciated if the store knew they were busy and 3 hours behind on deliveries, to have been contacted. If someone had reached out to me or even returned my first voicemail letting me know what was going on then this would have been a whole different situation and there would be a lot more understanding. The owner said he tried to call me but I didn't have missed calls or voicemails. Let him know I appreciated him trying to reach out and to try again. Still no calls. Followed up with another email a week later and still nothing. Extremely poor customer service from the employee that straight up lied about my order more than once, the delivery driver doorbell ditching the order and ignoring me, to the owners not attempting to make it right or even try to explain the lack of communication/lying. read more

We ordered a Princess Cake for my daughter's 2nd birthday. We went with the confetti (like funfetti) cake option. The brick and mortar location wasn't open yet when I emailed the owner. But, he responded quickly. He coordinated the order and although the store still wasn't open in time for the order; He ordered and picked up the cake from the Los Gatos location and we met him at the Capitola location while STILL in construction. All of this was done before even asking for payment. Now that's customer service! On top of all that my daughter loved the princess hat and the frosting and all our friends thoroughly enjoyed the cake. read more

SHOCKED! $7.00 for a cupcake? They are delicious but this is scalping. Bought the same thing in Las Vegas the week before and the price had gone up to $5.00 which is high but NOT for $7. California has gone crazy with their prices. read more

Their hours are changed and closes at 530pm due to the shelter in place. It would be nice if they posted a sign because I saw some customers still walking up to the front door wondering why they were closed so early. They also didn't have as many flavors available, probably because minimal amount of customers, so only the standard dozen flavors. It's understandable in these conditions. It didn't matter too much since I love all their Bundt cakes. It doesn't store well in the fridge too long because after 2 days they were dry on the outside. So definitely recommend to eat them fresh or the longest a day after. read more

Walked into the store and they are still requiring masks even though the state and county do not have a mandate anymore. Okay, I dont know if their frosters were never trained or what, but every. Single. Cake that I've seen from this place the frosting is an absolute MESS. The petals are all over the place, uneven, and it's just straight up messy. I worked at a Bundt cakes in Las Vegas and a cake that looks that awful never would have made it off of the table, let alone into someone's home to celebrate their birthday. I'll post pictures of just how honestly hilariously awful the frosting is done here. If it was one cake, okay, you know mistakes happen. But 3/3 is just a sign that their frosters don't know what they're doing. read more

I've been a loyal customer of Nothing Bundt cakes for several years. When they were in Carmel I would drive an hour just to get their cakes. However, everything changed today. I called ahead of time and placed my order for a cake and paid with my credit card. I told the girl on the phone that I will be at the store in 10 min, so if you could please have the cake ready that would be great. Since the pandemic I didn't want to be waiting in the store for my cake. I arrived at the store and no one was there. Few minutes later a girl comes out from the back. I told her I just had called and placed an order. She said " I will just get it from the back". I waited for 10 minutes. Wondering what was going on. If she was just getting it from the back what's the hold up? She came back out saying it needed to be iced. I said how much longer? She said a couple minutes. I waited...and waited...nothing. Fifteen minutes and said I have people waiting in my car. I ask how much longer, or I'm going to just cancel my order and get a refund. She said "Im just boxing it up right now". I said okay. A few minutes later she finally comes out with the cake. I told her it would have been nice to know it was going to take so long. I go out to my truck where my family has been waiting. The owner comes running out of the store to talk. He's not wearing a mask and is very close, and wants me to roll down the window. I would have been totally fine with talking with him in a normal day. But I tell him he's not wearing a mask and I will call him on the phone. I called him immediately after leaving. I told him the situation and what had happened and he was unapologetic. He proceeded to lay into me saying that I was the rudest customer ever and that during a time like now I should be more understanding of where he's coming from. Let me just say I was NOT rude!!! He said I tried to run him over in the parking lot. Really!!! He's totally crazy! I can't believe this even happened. I don't understand how a business owner can totally make stuff up. I told him that I will no longer be buying cakes from him and good bye. As a small business owner myself, I would NEVER treat a customer like this. It's really simple...if they had just said it's going to be about fifteen minutes I could have decided if I wanted to get the cake or not. They just lied and made stuff up instead. Stay away from this place. Nothing But Drama!!! read more

These cakes are delicious and decorated so nice. I'm on their mailing list. They send email offers for buy one bundtlet get one free. I Used to drive 30 minutes to the Carmel location. Now 30 minutes to Soquel. These cakes are so delicious that it's worth an hour round trip drive to get one. I also like to get the boxes of Bundteenies (mini assorted cupcakes)and bring to special occasions. October 3rd I Ordered my mom's 82nd Birthday cake on line. First time ordering a whole cake. Ordering and pickup was easy. Later that night, I presented the cake in front of my family and guests and the message card was wrong. Instead of "82 looks good on you!" It said "28 looks good on you." That deflated my spirit. I Called the store the next day to let them know so it won't happen to someone else. I was told, "Sorry. YOU should check your message card before YOU leave the store." It was my first experience buying a whole cake there. I would think to improve customer service that THEY should check the message card with the customer before they leave the store. That way THEY can insure quality control and have satisfied customers. Especially since I have to drive 30 minutes to get to their location. They clerk didn't seem to care. I will still shop there. The product is sooo delicious! I now know to check my message card before leaving. read more

We ordered cake for our wedding from this location. The process was super easy over the phone, and they delivered perfectly on time. We got a gluten free bundt for us, and bundtinis for the guests. They were enjoyed by everyone, and I would definitely order from this location again. We have been longtime customers of Nothing Bunt Cakes - for years purchasing all of our birthday cakes for family events from their store. We were sad when they moved from Carmel, but have made the long drive even STILL all the way to Santa Cruz to get their cakes as we have been loyal followers. Usually we pre-order on the website. However, today we were pressed for time. We drove for over an hour up to the Santa Cruz store from Pacific Grove to get a birthday cake for my son's 16th. I picked out an orange flower, etc. for the top. Got home, made a great dinner, and went to get the cake out of the refrigerator, only to find out that they had not decorated it with the items from the store my husband and I had picked out. It came "blank" with a big gaping hole in the middle I had no way of filling with candles or anything else. Very very disappointing. This is the last time we will make the hour long drive to get one of their cakes. read more

Nothing Bundt Cakes is delicious! They let you sample the lemon and it's prob the best lemon cake I've ever had. This is coming from someone who doesn't even care for lemon. Usually a place has certain products/flavors that stand out, but that's not the case here. All of their flavors are good. I have my favorite flavors, but I have tried every flavor and they are all very good quality. They taste like what they claim to be and the cakes are very moist. Sometimes I feel like a place gets a bad rap because it's a chain, but the truth is, it's a chain because it's so darn good. read more

After receiving an email about ordering a cake for Easter I did. Easy but then an hour later got an email saying it was cancelled. Called store. Not nice employees told me I had to order and pay again. But I explained that I had already paid and she said I had to give her my credit card. Felt uncomfortable and didn't. Showed up Saturday to pick up and instead of a nice Bundt cake that cost us $40 we got a runt cake (my husband named it). Usually Bundt cakes are 4" tall and gorgeous. Ours was 2" tall and a runt. She said carrot cakes are dense and not tall. Every time we've ordered the mini cakes the carrot ones are just as tall as the others. What a rip off. More frosting than cake. Was a fairly often customer, not any more. I can make my own runt cake for about $3 read more
