In a short time, it has become the Coffee Shop in Vinton to go in the morning to enjoy a good gourmet coffee or tea, together with a breakfast sandwich, a bagel with cream cheese made in the house, or a sweet pastry. When I arrived to have breakfast, the place was almost full with people of all ages. In one corner two businessmen elegantly dressed in business suits with laptops were seated in one table with what seemed like talking business, a couple had just arrived and sat in another table drinking their coffee and socializing, two other men dressed more informal also with a laptop at another table discussing something, two young ladies seated at a counter with comfortable high chairs socializing, a husband and wife seated next to the Christmas tree enjoying some quality time together, and the manager of the place seated at a small table doing some work his computer. This not counting all those who came in to pickup takeout orders to go. One could tell that the community was taking full advantage of this beautiful and clean place with contemporary decor, large windows, and high ceilings. It also had a Community Bulletin Board on one wall near the wall for customers to post information on events happening as well as business cards of their businesses or services provided. When I arrived I was warmly greeted by a young lady employee behind the counter who was very knowledgeable about the menu of the Coffee Shop and explained to me the breakfast sandwiches that they had and took my order for one of them in a plain bagel and a large Mocha Latte Coffee. As soon as the order was ready she brought the items to the table where I was seated with a friendly smile, providing exceptional customer service. The coffee tasted absolutely Devine and was nice and hot; and the breakfast sandwich had a fresh plain bagel that was toasted to perfection, crunchy in the outside and soft in the inside, filled with fresh ingredients that together tasted amazingly delicious. Without a question, I would highly recommend this Coffee Shop to all reading my review and looking at my photographs accompanying it. This is definitely a relaxing place to go to socialize and spend quality time with family and friends, to do some work or have a meeting with work associates, or even for entrepreneurs to brainstorm ideas to start a business in the future or to make their current business grow. This definitely is a vibrant place where things are happening and the Town of Vinton and its community is clearly benefiting from it.

The inside is gorgeous, lots of pretty decor and posters, plants, etc, and it's usually pretty full because of how great the atmosphere is. It had been a lifelong dream of a team of three: Sadie Smith, Charlie Claus, and Ryan Patton, to open a Coffee Shop where everyone in the community is welcome to relax, chat, hang out, and do the things they enjoy doing while they drink a cup of coffee or tea with a pastry from Bread Craft. This morning I went to visit their Coffee Shop and see first hand their dream come true. It was early in the morning yet the owners were there to personaly greet me and serve me my Coffee. You could see from the sparkle in their eyes how proud they were of working hard to make their special dream materialize. And work hard they did because all the seating areas and stations were made by them and this gives the place a special character. I ordered a Cafe Latte and my friend ordered a drip. Their modern coffee machine made a wonderful coffee and they finished off by making a design on top of the coffee with the cream. Since it was very early the pastries had not yet arrived but I enjoyed talking with the owners about their new business, looking around at their creation, and enjoying the special cup of coffee they made me. I highly recommend this new Coffee House to the entire community as a place to come to wind down, be creative, meet and make new friends, and while at it enjoy a cup a coffee in a relaxed and comfortable environment where everyone is welcomed to hangout.

The star of the show, though was a vegan peach crumble coffee cake, which was about as good as you could possibly imagine such a thing in being. The owner gave me a warm and friendly welcome and explained all the food items they had for breakfast and lunch. They have freshly baked New York Bagels shippedfrom New York daily. The Mocha was amazingly good The Bagel was very large and fresh; crunchy on the outside and soft and moist ingredients the inside with a nice size portion of Bacon, Egg, and Cheese. I spent some time there and was able to meet one of the employees who happened to arrive during this time. And…read moreso when I found out that this Panda Boba had just opened its door in a very desired location in Vinton, Virginia, I had to be the first one to go explore and see what it was all about. Located across the street from Pollard 107 South Restaurant, in the Town of Vinton, Panda Boba is housed in a modern, small open space area furnish with simple yet elegant and comfortable furniture. The owners are a couple Vietnamese immigrants who were very welcoming and hospitable when I entered the restaurant for the first time. The menu included a great variety of flavored Bubble Teas and Smoothies with the option of including two types of bobas: the traditional ones which are chewy, small tapioca pearls that are commonly added to bubble tea drinks. Bobas are made from tapioca starch extracted from the cassava root, giving them a distinctive chewy texture when you bite into them. And another type that are filled with flavored juices inside so when you bite into them these flavors are released. The wife and one of the owners of the business was the one I first met when I arrived to this unique business. She greeted me warmly from behind the counter with a big smile. There was a small menu on the counter and a large, lit version hanging from the wall behind the counter. I ordered a Mango Smoothie with the Bobas that had the Mango flavored juice inside. She immediately went to work making my Mango Smoothie with bobas. As she was doing so, her husband, the co-owner, and son arrived. It brought back some happy memories because when I was growing up my father also opened a cafeteria business in San Juan, Puerto Rico, that ended up being very successful and made it possible for me going to the college of my choice. As I sat down drinking my Smoothie through a wide straw that allowed the bobas to slip up, a couple came in and made an order as well. They also seemed happy to have this new business here. I highly recommend that those reading this review go and try it out. You'll discover a refreshing drink with bobas that will give it a special texture never to be forgotten.

The menu is large, the cups are microscopic, and the price is catastrophic. The price for the size you get makes it really not worth it, I'd rather go to KPOT and just get a boba to go, or drive to Blacksburg and go to kung fu tea. The boba should be fresh and hot when given to you. And tea flavor should be stronger. If they make these changes, they would become the elite choice. Now all that being said, the flavor and boba are way better than the boba place that used to be in Roanoke. So will I come back? Probably, but at this price, size, and flavor. Not often. If they make the above changes, and have more typical sizes, I'd come everyday.

I have truly enjoyed dining in each and every one of them. But Bread Craft, located in the Star City of Roanoke, is in a class of its own. After being ranked 4th among Yelp's Top 50 Most Prolific Elites of 2025, a distinction recognizing my consistent community engagement and high-quality contributions, I decided that this year, as an All-Star Yelp Elite, I not only wanted to be the first to discover new restaurants, businesses, and establishments, and bring them to the attention of the public, but also to go back and write follow-up reviews on those places that impressed me the most during 2025, and Bread Craft Bakery, located in Downtown Roanoke, is the perfect example of one of them. Bread Craft is a premier, artisan European-style bakery established in 2006 by owner Alex Eliades, who besides having a passion for baking, has over 25 years of baking experience, and leads the bakery focusing on traditional slow-fermentation techniques. The bakery is known for its high-quality, scratch-made sourdough, pastries, and Croissants. It evolved from a wholesale operation into a popular 6,000 square foot café on Church Avenue, also supplying local restaurants. The bakery specializes in Franch and German-style baking, utilizing sourdough as a natural leavener. It servers breakfast and lunch items, including sandwiches, salads, and some creative breakfast egg entrées. They are open Wednesdays through Sundays from 8:00AM - 2:00PM and are well known for running out of items before the end of the day. For this review I visited the Bakery / Café for breakfast on two consecutive Wednesdays. The first Wednesday I arrived too late to be able to have their Chorizo & Eggs Cocotte from their Breakfast menu. Breakfast is only served until noon, and I found out about this on that day. So instead I had a Cheese Danish and a house-made Mocha Coffee. Both items were delicious. On the second Wednesday I arrived much earlier for breakfast. Luckily, right before a whole rush of customers arriving to place Take-out orders. As soon as I walked inside I immediately felt comfortable with its clean and contemporary architectural design and decor, and an exposed red brick wall that gave it a warm ambiance. One can see that the owner spent a substantial amount in renovating the place when they moved here, and that they took good care of it, because it looked as if it had just opened for the very first time yesterday. While I was looking over all the baked items they had, I received a friendly greeting and warm welcome from a lady behind the counter who seemed to be the manager and took my order. To start I ordered a Chorizo Quiche which happened to be the Quiche of the day, and a house-made Mocha Coffee. Then since I was planning to turn this into a Brunch, for my main entrée I ordered their Chorizo Cocotte from the Breakfast menu. And for dessert I had a Chocolate Hazelnut Croissant that was simply irresistible. Everything tasted amazingly delicious, especially since I love Chorizo. The Quiche had an amazing crust with the eggs inside cooked with the perfect amount of chorizo. The Chorizo Cocotte was served in an elongated bowl with two poached eggs over Spanish sausage, accompanied by three slices of freshly made Baguette. And if all this wasn't enough, the Chocolate Hazelnut Croissant was the perfect ending dessert to this fabulous put together Brunch. Oh and the coffee was the best of the best. I invite you to view my photographs accompanying this review to get a better sense of the place and the quality of their food. What an outstanding dining experience I just had at Bread Craft. Wonderful ambiance, amazing food, and extraordinary customer service. I highly recommend this Bakery/Café whenever you're in the area.
