To drink I ordered a medium Caffè Mocha. To eat I ordered a Breakfast Sandwich with a Cloverdale Plain Bagel, with Bacon, Egg, and Cheese. And finish with something sweet, a Cherry Danish. The Mocha was amazingly good The Bagel was very large and fresh; crunchy on the outside and soft and moist ingredients the inside with a nice size portion of Bacon, Egg, and Cheese. I spent some time there and was able to meet one of the employees who happened to arrive during this time. I also met a nice older couple who enjoy eating at different restaurants and I recommended them Crooked Shoreline Steak and Seafood from Daleville, which I just finished eating there and few days before, and was the first to review this restaurant for Yelp. They loved the oral recap of my review and promised they would go that same event to dine there. They in turn recommended me Nakhon Thai Cuisine which I will be doing there and reviewing for Yelp next Tuesday. Amazingly, what I wrote about at the beginning of this review did take place during the time I was there. God has blessed this Coffee House in a very special way, and it was providing more than just food and drinks for the body, but also for the soul. If I was impressed by these at first, at the end of my last sip of coffee I would be even more impressed when I found out about their work and that one hundred percent of the Café's proceeds benefit local initiatives like prayer walks, Sunday bible classes and their Global Adventure, a three-floor interactive experience for kids and their international ministry partnerships that aid with projects like building water wells in India and Uganda. After talking with the Global Blend Café's manager, Kenzie Morisette, I realized that this independent café offers something that chain coffee shops can't: a real sense of place where neighbors connect and memories are made over thoughfuly crafted cups of coffee. It's a mission-driven Café where we can go to relax in their cozy seating areas, connect with friends, shop at the Nation's Hope Store, and explore cultures and causes worldwide. After viewing their menu I ordered an Iced Samoa Signature Latte that contained coconut, caramel, and chocolate. And to eat I ordered their American Breakfast with my choice of Croissant, Bacon, and Cheddar Cheese. Its walls showcased local artists' work, and its small living room with a sofa and coffee table, in the front of the shop, made one feel relaxed and at home. The owner herself, a friendly and very hospitable lady, welcomed me behind the counter, and explained how she wanted her coffee shop to be a place where members of the community could come to relax, work, and catch up with friends. When it came time to order, I ordered a couple of Bacon & Cheese Frittatas, a Cherry Danish, and a Mocha Coffee. Everything was amazingly delicious. While I ate there was another customer working on his laptop computer at another table, and a young lady customer arrived, ordered her coffee and breakfast and went to enjoy it at the comfortable sofa and coffee table area in front of the shop. Before I left, I went to the back to use their restroom, and before I reached it, there was a blackboard wall full of well wishes for the owner of the store, handwritten in color chalk, from customers of all ages. Yesterday, I was fortunately enough to be invited to attend this new Coffee Shop's Soft Opening and was very impressed with its gorgeous decor, and with the owner's unique and creative ideas of which some have already been implemented in its Coffee, Tea, and Food menus, and others will be added soon. Asher's Coffee, a small-batch artisan coffee roaster was founded in 2020 by former sports nutrition chef and current owner, Jacob Asher Galbraith. Its name honors his hardworking grandfather. At first they sold their variety of coffees at different farmers markets and online. Then on a downtown location on 5th Street. And now they have moved to this location, where they will be able to sell espresso drinks and food, in addition to pour overs and cold brew showcasing their small-batch roasted When I arrived in my pearl white Lexus I parked across the street in an off-street parking space where one could park for 2 hrs free and then walked towards the corner where the coffee shop is located. Their building front had a black and while striped canopy with a colorful vinyl sign of the business hanging from it, as well as another one on the window of the door. Inside. The large windows all around brought in the light. The walls were painted light blue and the original hardwood floors had a beautiful shine to them. The ordering counter had a cute industrial look. And for seating it had It had2 a low table with four chairs and two high tables with stools. There was also a comfortable sofa that just needed a coffee table so customers could put their food and drinks there while they sat comfortably in the sofa to enjoy their food and drinks. The owner was taking care of another two customers when I arrived, so as soon as he finished with them he and his wife gave me a warm greeting and welcome, a short tour of the place and reviewed the menu with me. They had all kinds of bags of coffee for sale, as well as t-shirts and caps with the name of the store, and even a rack with earing for sale. Then he took my order. I ordered a Hot Mocha Breve Coffee to drink which was made with dark chocolate and their signature sandwich, a Waffledilla, have with my coffee. It was basically a quesadilla made in a waffle maker, with the cheese on the outside, so it gets crusty, then he used that cheese-encrusted tortilla to make a wrap, which almost looked like a giant taco or quesadilla. Their signature Waffledilla he made me had a Mexi-cali-inspired filling of roasted turkey and a homemade avocado mash. It also was supposed to have a thick-cut bacon, but they still hadn't received the shipment with it so I told them I didn't mind. It seems like my Waffledilla was the first they've made since they opened this new Coffee Shop, so after I took some photographs of it, the owner also took some photos as well. And both the texture and the favor were amazing. For dessert I had a Greek Cookie called Koulourakia and a Greek Baklava which was one of the best I've ever had. Since the wife of the owner is Greek I was able to practice some of the few Greek.words I know like Good afternoon "Kalispera," with her. They also plan to serve Belgian-style Liege waffles and pastries baked in house as well as by a rotating roster of local bakers. I also purchased a bag of their house blend coffee It Takes a Villege to take home with me. While I was there many customers stopped by to try their coffee there and a few to purchase bags of coffee to go. From the excitement of all the new customers who visited the place on this Soft Opening I anticipate that this Coffee Shop will be a total success. I highly recommend it and am looking forward to returning many times as well.
