I love trying different/small coffee shops when I travel. Glad I stopped at this place. The coffee was delicious and the turnover tasted like it was freshly baked.

    Really cool coffee shop

Every time I'm in town visiting family, I try to always make a stop here. The coffee and food is really good. This season's specialty latte is very tasty - Bee Berry Latte (blueberry honey latte).

Had a quick cappuccino at this quaint coffee shop in Roanoke. Cap was on point! Not too expensive either for a 16 oz size, probably close to $3.50. Lots of study space, WiFi, pastries. Seems like a great place for a quick pit stop or if you need to actually get work done. I'll be back! Pros: Coffee Price Cons: Wish they did sandwiches and/or wraps, as I was dying for a snack that wasn't a large pastry!

    Spacious - quiet Friday evening

This is easily the least appealing store for me, of the three we've been to. LIKED: - Free WiFi - Silence (also a dislike because a bit of soft music might've made it possible for me not to have to hear every conversation the staff were having way back over at the counter) - Outdoor seating and own parking. DISLIKED: - Minimal service. Nothing terrible, just the bare minimum of taking orders, taking payment, then delivering orders. Nothing more, nothing less. - Overpriced smoothie, especially compared to the other two locations. Smaller cup sizes and higher prices just don't make sense to me. I'd go back, but only if I really must.

After being awarded the NC Triad Yelp Squad Yelper of the Year 2024 Award at the Yelpies Award Ceremony last year, an event that honored the highest-performing Yelp Elites, celebrating their contributions and accomplishments throughout the year, I decided that this year, as an All-Star Yelp Elite, I not only wanted to be the first to discover new restaurants and businesses, and bring them to the attention of the public, but also to uncover those found in hidden paths that for one reason or another have not reached the public in its totality. And Kind Brew Coffee and Tea House in Roanoke, Virginia, is a perfect example. As soon as I found out about about this very unique business with very noble goals, that grew out of the owners' mobile coffee shop and into the retail shop of their dreams, I drove up to the place but unfortunately found it closed. Understandably, I have discovered that oftentimes in the initial stage of new businesses, they tend to close early at times when the business is slow, and this was confirmed today when I returned and talked with the co-owner Kirsten, a very friendly, warm, and kind young lady, who together with her husband Matt, are making their dream come true, at a time in their lives that they are expecting a child in the beginning of December. Two very significant births in a very short period of time. The store front of their business looks like right out of a fairytale book. Their logo has a coffee cup with the smoke coming out of it turning into a heart. Kindness seems to be in the air once you enter the door of this house. And Kindness can be contagious, especially during the upcoming time of the year with Thanksgiving and Christmas just right around the corner. The beautiful hardwood floors of this coffee, tea, and gift shop lays the foundation for this warm and cozy place, where you feel at home from the time you walk in. Several customers came in while I was there and I was able to see how loyal customers were beginning to develop. When the time came to order, I ordered a 16oz Coffee Bubble Tea. It was amazingly delicious. I enjoyed drinking it and having the bobas pop in my mouth. They currently have some muffins and cookies in the display case, but they plan to have many more sweets in the future. For every $10 one spends, they have a tree planted. They also have a Loyalty Card program, and many other creative ideas. I invite you to view my photographs accompanying this review to get a better sense of the place and business. I highly recommend this place and encourage everyone to give them your wholehearted support.

My favorite menu item is their iced matcha latte with vanilla syrup, always excited to try the seasonal syrups they have in their drinks as well! My partner and I have been a handful of times and have felt extremely welcomed in their space, as well as respected. The baristas are incredibly friendly, and accommodating. The inside is gorgeous, lots of pretty decor and posters, plants, etc, and it's usually pretty full because of how great the atmosphere is. They also showcase other vendors/local artists inside, and occasionally will have evenings dedicated to small activities and sponsor social events. I love this place, and can absolutely recommend it. It had been a lifelong dream of a team of three: Sadie Smith, Charlie Claus, and Ryan Patton, to open a Coffee Shop where everyone in the community is welcome to relax, chat, hang out, and do the things they enjoy doing while they drink a cup of coffee or tea with a pastry from Bread Craft. This morning I went to visit their Coffee Shop and see first hand their dream come true. It was early in the morning yet the owners were there to personaly greet me and serve me my Coffee. You could see from the sparkle in their eyes how proud they were of working hard to make their special dream materialize. And work hard they did because all the seating areas and stations were made by them and this gives the place a special character. I ordered a Cafe Latte and my friend ordered a drip. Their modern coffee machine made a wonderful coffee and they finished off by making a design on top of the coffee with the cream. Since it was very early the pastries had not yet arrived but I enjoyed talking with the owners about their new business, looking around at their creation, and enjoying the special cup of coffee they made me. I highly recommend this new Coffee House to the entire community as a place to come to wind down, be creative, meet and make new friends, and while at it enjoy a cup a coffee in a relaxed and comfortable environment where everyone is welcomed to hangout.

Unfortunately, a toasted bagel with butter had the butter on the side, and thus by the time I ate my bagel it was cold and didn't butter the way I wanted it to. Their chai was a syrupy but interesting flavor that emphasized spice more than sugar; at least, the first few sips were before I clumsily dropped it. No blame for them on that. Adding a parfait to eat later was a good decision that gave me energy for the day. They had a wide menu, and while I wanted a bit more from my bagel I could certainly find a quick and easy breakfast downtown here whenever I needed it.

It creates an inviting and friendly atmosphere, which is reinforced by the warm welcoming of its employees and their wonderful customer service. A young lady behind the counter greeted and welcomed me to the place and took my order. The menu was above behind the counter in a size big enough to be able to read it from far away. To drink I ordered a Mad's Mango Berry Smoothie. To eat I ordered the Turkey Avocado Wrap. And for dessert I ordered an Authentic Dutch Stroopwafles that came with two marshmallows on top. After paying for my order, I sat at one of the tables next to the wall and waited for it to be ready to pick up. It did not take long for my order to be ready. As soon as it was, they called me and I went up to get it. The Smoothie was nice and cold with a mixture of Banana, Orange, Raspberries, and Mango. Very refreshing indeed, especially now that the hot weather is approaching. The Turkey and Avocado Wrap came nicely wrapped in a fresh tortilla, with all the ingredients very nice and fresh. And the dessert was very unique and sweet. I invite all reading my review to look at my photographs accompanying it to better get a feel for the food and the place.
