The location of this Starbucks is odd, it only really makes sense if you're driving in or out of downtown. The staff are all very friendly when I come in, but orders are often slow to come out (I recommend doing a mobile order instead). read more

First time visited this location however the experience was disappointing. The barista greeted us immediately when we got in. We ordered our coffee and they were served quickly. While i was taking for photos of the store, one of the customers feel annoyed of me taking the photos while I said my pictures do not show any persons and asked her to check. In any event, her paranoid behavior was disturbing. The store itself is like other Starbucks store and it's just unfortunate that we ran into a paranoid customer. read more

Last coffee drive through location before hitting DT for that caffeine kick. Least fussy and easy going baristas in the surrounding areas. Especially if you are into decaf coffees. They do a decaf americano right! read more

I forget your name, the rude shift supervisor lady who opened the location at 7:12 am when it was supposed to be opened at 7:00 am but you really take the cake for being a crappy person. I had an important exam that morning so naturally I want my coffee before heading over to the exam and this location happens to be the closest place I can get coffee at 7am. Before going to bed I checked the hours of operation to make sure that I wouldn't show up to a closed coffee shop. Got to the store at butt crack of dawn at 6:55 am and waited for the doors to open. 7:01 am... still not opening the doors. I spy with my little eyes the shift supervisor moving furniture around and setting up the shop. Our eyes meet. She just ignores me. I'm getting irritated now - she could easily have poked her head out and said it will be another few minutes. NOPE. She kept keep prepping the shop ignoring me giving her the stink eye. Finally she opens the door at 7:12 am. I am not a happy camper, so I voice my displeasure at the store not opening on time. Now, I usually don't voice my annoyance for stuff like this but I was on a tight schedule and I needed to just grab my coffee and get out of there. In and out. That's all I wanted. When I told her what time it was and that if they were running behind, the least she could do was to poke her sorry head out the door and say that they were having some issues and that they would be opening shortly. To this she snaps back, "we had register issues, how can I get you coffee if our registers don't work?" ARE YOU EFFING KIDDING ME!? How is that even a concern of mine? Like I said before I am not usually one to embody the "customer is king" motto but I sincerely believe that if they were having register problems and could not open the store on time I should be getting my coffee for free. Nothing came of it with her - she started becoming very argumentative and I had gotten my coffee at this point and could not waste any more time so I took off, but I don't think I've ever dealt with anyone this rude. Since then I occasionally return to the location because coffee options are very limited around where I live but I try to avoid this location as much as I can. That was my rant. Best drive thru ever and when you just order a latte, it's guilt-free unlike McDs and DQ! Love the sweet Japanese girl who messed up my order, but then gave me a free one for her mistake. Then there's the girl who was kind enough to sweeten my coffee for me and then threw it out the window at me, narrowly missing my car. It was an accident. I think it was a full moon that day, as I proceeded to watch cars driving the wrong way down the street afterwards. :) (I'm not kidding.) Believe it or not, this quirkiness keeps me coming back for more. The order-in is pretty efficient too, and in the summer, the patio always has sunshine, which is a rarity, esp. now! I always agree with JN. Not only is she compelling, beguiling and a harbinger of good taste, she's the Yelper to follow. So naturally I agree with her review of this Sbux. Today I was driving out to Coquitlam, I needed a pick me up in this drizzle. I had a free drink coming to me and I didn't want to exit the car, so I pulled in to this drive thru. Ordering my drink was a snap and the friendly voice on the other end was welcoming. The cashier was also very friendly and handed me a $2.00 coupon for any Grande drink after 2:00PM. I ordered something I rarely order... One of those girly dessert espresso drink called the caramel flan latte. It was piping hot and actually wasn't too sweet, but I'd still get it half sweet next time. It carried me through the drive down the Barnet. CAUTION: there's still a nasty bit of construction right next to this SBux so you have to some heavy driving acrobatics to get in and out in a short time. g read more

Are all Starbucks the same? This one is marooned in the middle of some major construction, but that didn't seem to deter people. There was quite the lineup for the drive through. It's a smaller store with mostly chairs, and a couple of couches. A small token patio. The staff were quick and friendly, possibly a little too quick? Clean, and appearing to be well run, if you are in the area probably worth a stop by. read more

Smaller, narrow location, did notice tons of cops and border officials, guess no donuts nearby, closest Timmys would be DT but Ill digress. Like how no keys needed here for washrooms LOL. You know Starbucks is Starbucks and they have done a really good developing their business to the size that it is now. I am very fond of their coffee and indeed the food and snacks. However what is remarkable is the fact that they seem to find really good staff mainly young people but not always mature employees as well. Moreover they tend remain with the business longer that most coffee/fast food outlets and that is a credit to them. I use the Powell St drive through outlet most weekday mornings and its a pleasure to start the day with bright and happy Starbucks employees. At the outset of the Pandemic when everything went into tighter lockdown and I stopped going. Several weeks later 2 staff members wearing masks [ Marty & Kaitlin ] came to my office to make sure I was OK. No Covid though. They made me a card signed by all the staff. Starbucks you have an incredible group of dedicated young people representing you at this location you should be proud of them. Thank you guys. Austen. read more

First time in and Liza was amazing. She was only one working and handled everyone great. Coffees were perfect and she even brought them out to our table which never happens at starbucks. Also gad a couple breakfast sandwiches which were good. Give her a raise as have a great employee. read more

I must say we used to drive through this Starbucks daily around 7am but after too many wrong orders we will not be going back. 3 weeks ago I ordered a turkey bacon egg sandwich the outside was warm the inside was ice cold. Yesterday we ordered two drinks which had the labels on the cups so we said goodbye and separated finding out 5 min later that the labels had been switched so both drinks ended up in the garbage. The idea of a drive through might seem appealing or convenient but definitely not worth all the hassle. I generally believe the quality of Starbucks has suffered the last few years. read more

Do me all a favour and skip this location if you happen to come across it. In fact, if you have any second thoughts and drive back towards it, skip it again, please. Why skip it? Well then, let's see, because they skipped me twice today! Yes indeed, I was next in line ready to pay for my yogurt that I had put down on the counter and the employee decides to ask the person behind me what they want. I've figured she would get back to me, you know, when she notices the fact that I am at the very front of the line right in front of the till. No. She rings the sale through for the person behind me. You know what's worst? She then proceeds to ask the person behind the customer she just served ahead of me, what the person would like to have. You would think the employee would have noticed that someone have been standing in front of their till with a yogurt on the counter with a wallet out ready to pay, but no. In order for the rest of the review to make sense, I am getting over a cold and decided to wear a medical face mask, to try to not spread my germs around when I am out. I leave the counter area annoyed and told another employee that the employee at the till have skipped me twice. The employee said they couldn't hear me because of my mask. So my co-worker yells out "She's been skipped twice!". The employee promptly apologizes on behalf of Starbucks and offers me something for free. I replied with "No, I don't want anything, I am leaving now" and left the building. This is a Starbucks that I usually frequent because it is near my work, so I've been coming here for the past two years. Way to go to make me feel ignored and invisible. Thanks for making me feel like I've been discriminated because I am wearing a medical face mask because I have a cold. Thanks a lot. This is not the kind of service I need. read more

I've been to this Starbucks. It was more of a grab and go situation. Hard to mess up tea and hot water.

Staff here are nice. Very nice. If you want a consistent coffee with a smile and you're on the go via east-west corridor, stop by here.
