Will start by saying I have no issue with staff. Service has always been fine at this location. I do have issue with corporate. I tried contacting them directly, but was unable to submit an email with their form--it kept erroring out. I suspect they don't want to hear any complaints. Went in for breakfast sandwich; ham, Swiss on baguette with dijon mustard. Got to my car, took a bite...NO dijon. Opened whole thing up...nothing. Went back in to ask for dijon (as stated in-app menu and on the label) and was told sandwiches are all premade and they do not keep any in their store. Took it home and added dijon. But the ham was sweet and way over-salted and it wasn't good, either way. Only thing good on that sandwich was the baguette. Their breakfast menu item quality has gone down. I used to like their egg, sausage and cheddar on English muffin--it was better than the competition. But last time I ordered one (about 2 months ago) the savory sausage had been replaced with a smaller, different maple sausage and it ruined it for me. Not a fan of sweet sausage and didn't appreciate the change. Given my experience today, perhaps someone in the corporate kitchen mucked it up. When I asked about it, nobody could tell me if there had been a change in ingredients. I can tell that store staff is also frustrated with corporate. Starbucks used to be a breakfast go-to for me when I have to travel in Valley Springs, but they can't even seem to follow their own menu when making their pre-made sandwiches and I couldn't even contact corporate to let them know they have an issue. Won't be doing any starbucks, anytime soon. I am usually willing to give a restaurant another shot after a mixup or change--which is why I tried the ham/swiss sandwich today. That is now two poor experiences in a row spread out over two months--one too many for me. read more

The girls that work here are really rude and not friendly. They always have attitude and no customer service. There were maybe 6-7 of them behind the counter and just one girl making drinks and it took forever to get my order, which was also made wrong. The one barista (with knit cap, beaded beard and tattoos), scurried around the place restocking and making sure bathrooms were clean. I went today & ordered a Medicine Ball great for the weather change. I let it brew a bit & took my first sip...not the same. Apparently, they changed the formulation to just 1 tea bag now no more Citrus mint or peach tea. It's now Chamomile mint combo w/ Lemonade & Honey. Ok, you guys don't fix something that's not broken. But I get it you have to watch the cost of ingredients. It is about the bottom line. All in all I drank it & I can get used to it. So thanks for not taking it totally away. Went to Starbucks tonight got 3 drinks. One was so post to be an iced chi tea. Got to the window and the lady handed me a hot chi tea I told that one was so post be iced. She grabbed it from me rolled her eyes and was super rude! It wasn't my fault she made it wrong. And I wasn't rude about it either. But she sure had an attitude. Slow and had to wait way too long for a drip coffee. Customers had to remind baristas about orders because they would get lost.... Employees need to be trained better before working in this facility. I don't know where to even start. I come to this Starbucks 4 to 5 days a week sometimes twice a day as I get coffee for myself and my boss. Along with that change, they've gone from excellent and fast service to ignoring you and when you finally can preset, they take 3x as long as they formerly took preparing your order. Waited in drive-thru 15 mins before order taken. At that time, I was informed they were out of ALL breakfast sandwiches (prior to 10 am). This, when their sign says BREAKFAST ALL DAY). I come thru town every 6 weeks and really look forward to my sausage, egg, cheddar sandwich. Don't eat fast food often, so that is normally a special treat for me. Much better than the typical fast food version. They offered me their new breakfast wrap...HORRIBLE! Mostly potato, some egg and soggy bits of bacon and/or sausage-like substance! Not sure there was even cheese. If there was, it was very sparse. I was hungry enough to eat part of it and trashed the rest. The gal at window informed me CORPORATE has reduced the number of breakfast sandwiches they are sending and they run out early, now. Don't waste your time on that yucky wrap...UNLESS you dislike cheese, crispy (cooked) bacon and decent sausage. They should have called it a potato wrap. I am not terrified of bit of carbs, but nobody needs that much of a carb load and it rendered the whole thing fairly tasteless. Terrible, it was! Worst Starbucks I've been to. Counted 7 people working none of which acknowledged my presence when I was standing at the register. I had to literally ask someone if I could order. When I placed my order it took a good 10-12 min until I finally asked someone to make my drink since I noticed no one was actually working with any urgency. There was no one else in the cafe with me at the time I ordered but while I waited 4 more people came in all of which were given their drinks before me. The drive thru person was working her window and everyone else appeared to be standing around or working on mobile orders only. You have to remember this is a small town, even Starbucks in the big city of sac , run out of things such as the blonde roast coffee. I think this location is great, sometimes customer service can be a lil off , but like i said its a little town and little town people are not used to fast paced city folks. In the blistering cold weather hank and I have stopped by to get hot chocolate for the grand kids and have been witness to poor young girls standing in 30 degree weather outside taking drink orders. When asked why, we were told that it helps the "drive times". First of all, let me say this: Hank and I do not like people in our personal space. You know, the covid is still running rampant and now you got this girl with her head by our window... tsk tsk tsk. Secondly, seeing these girls outside taking orders when it's freezing cold and during this time of year just shows how little you care about your employees. I have been a loyal customer of the Valley Springs Starbucks since the business opened. Today I ordered my usual drinks and the service was terrible. I have noticed it's steadily declining but the lack of customer service today was pretty bad. I understand there are supply issues but when I order something they are out of and the person let's me order it then after I'm charged for it I have to tell them it looks like they are out of the product thats pretty bad. The worse part about it is I ended up ordering another drink which cost more and they wouldn't even take the extra charge off for the milk. They we're out of the product let me order it and pay for it and not even comp the price difference for the more expensive drink. read more

I went into this Starbucks when it was not that busy and about 4 customers in the entire store. The girls who were working were just standing around and looking lost and not knowing what to do. I only ordered a piece of pumpkin bread, not even a drink, just 1 piece of pumpkin bread. After waiting about 10 minutes I finally had to ask the girl who took my order who looked dazed and confused if I could please have my pumpkin bread and she said oh thats right I was going to get that. Not very quality customer service for sure. Good luck if you are in a hurry because this place lacks speed of service in a very big way. I think this store needs management supervision at all times. It is a Starbucks, we discovered this while taking a family trip. We found it as we needed a quick pick me up while driving for sometime. We found this place to be very clean, and plenty of parking outside. One of the surprises is this Starbucks has a drive through, so if you are low on time you have the option to make a quick stop. I had just had a doctor appointment and was in a rush to get back to work. There was a drive thru line of about 4 cars. By the time I got to the window the employee Joe was super apologetic for the wait and very sweet. He noticed the bandage from the blood draw and asked if I was ok and if I needed anything sweet to keep my energy up. Clean Starbucks and a good place if you just want a plain coffee or quality drink from the menu. Except majority of their employees I've experienced do not understand how to complete custom orders such as if you ask for a custom drink like a double blended lemonade refresher extra ice. I received a lukewarm regular berry tea with chunks of ice plopped on top. I know it's a custom order but that wasn't even close. Please management get a little bit of training in there.
