I think most Starbucks are basically the same. Where they differ is the customer service and how the baristas behave to customers. The location is great the baristas where friendly and gave great service all around. I was greeted with a hello when coming into store and was greeted at register immediately. It's at a busy mall the parking lot can get crowded and so can the drive in. The inside is spacious with high ceilings. There's lots of tables and chairs spread out so that's nice your not on top of one another. It's busy but the baristas are pretty fast and it's clean inside. They also have a patio out front to enjoy the 365 sunny days in Pittsburgh. I really like the new remodel the service has always been fast and friendly. I order from my app and pick up via the drive thru on a weekly basis. Everything I order is consistently good, the baristas are always ultra friendly. There is a fair bit of congestion at this location so the drive thru can be backed up quite often and the parking lot isn't ideal. This is a smaller Starbucks but there's some nice outdoor seating for use during warmer weather and the inside seating is nice, and everything is always clean which is great. read more

A great Starbucks in a great location! It's right near Pittsburgh Mills Mall and they have a drive through which is excellent. You can get your coffee hot drink or whatever you're looking for and then head over to the mall. The waitstaff are very nice and try to fill your orders quickly. Sometimes the drive-through line is so long that it's better off going in. However, you still get the same great service either way. Kudos! read more

This location has really gone downhill in the last few months. I'm not sure if they just stopped caring or got new management. Every time I've been here the past few months or so the coffee tastes so bad. The espresso tastes burnt and even though i just spent $5 on a drink, I don't even want to drink any of it because it tastes so terrible. I'm so disappointed because this location is so close to my house and they used to make the best drinks. It's really unfortunate because the employees are so sweet and good people. Good service and a drive through, which is very convenient. There is another Starbucks in the Pittsburgh Mills Mall, but access is more difficult. This one is very close and easier if you're in a vehicle. The staff has a good sense of humor, which is necessary when frustrated and caffeine deprived drivers pull up. They are generally very quick, too. The coffee is always freshly made and strong. For those who don't like a richer blend, there is the Blond bean. Just left this starbucks. Had a great experience! This parking lot can be busy so be careful. I love the layout of this location. Open and inviting for both customer and employee. This is a great location for retail compared to one I worked in years ago. A lot of variety in cups and gift ideas! The customer service was great. A girl was being trained yet attention to detail was not overlooked. Our cup discount was given for using our own cup. Names were put on the cup. The cup was sanitized. There was camaraderie behind the bar that was nice to see. It's nice to see employees joking and laughing together and getting along while they make your drink. It makes me feel good to see that. Adds to the "third place" feel. In my opinion. Pastry case and ready to drink areas were filled and so many tasty looking items. Chairs, booths, comfy chairs - lots of seating options. Enjoyed it! This starbucks has terrible mannerisms and they have served me burnt- tasting coffee on numerous occasions. Also, more than 90% of the time they get my order incorrect. There have even been instances where I was charged for a venti and handed a grandé. I prefer espresso added bc I feel frappés do not have enough of a kick and there are times when i'm also charged for this and do not see them add it. It is a very cold and unwelcoming environment. Oh was a delight to see a Starbucks next to the five guys burgers I went to for lunch, for a delicious afternoon treat I stopped there and got a giant, American sized ice coffee oh man! they make it delicious and is a perfect charge up after lunch to go back for the second half of working hard. Went in there Sunday morning. Extremely slow service owing to the fact that the baristas are busy socializing with each other while customers wait a long time for their orders. I go to Starbucks twice a day at the downtown Pittsburgh locations during rush hours. They are much faster even though they are much busier than this location. Spent 15 minutes in the store for one thing with only one customer ahead of me. Asked where my order was, and the barista shrugged it off only to find out it had never been put in the oven. I like visiting this location. They take extra care to make my order just the way I like it. This visit was during 1/2 price Frappicino's happy hour. I wanted the S'mores Frappicino with low fat milk and not too sweet. My barista made it perfectly! I wished I would have gotten the receipt so I good thank the person who made my drink. read more

I've been coming to this store for years and there is a noticeable difference since management has changed. The new employees are rude, the old employees seem miserable. The store is always dirty and the drinks are never made consistently. But there's always arts and crafts projects going on? It takes considerably longer to get your order and the baristas usually have attitude when they give it to you. When you bring up your concerns to their manager Nick, he rolls his eyes and gives you an obviously very canned response. From my long days doing work in the cafe I've overheard many conversations between him and his employees. Nick Greiner is a racist plain and simple. I've overheard his use of the n-word, as well as his telling of racist jokes, and racial profiling of customers. In the world we live in today, and the recent scrutiny on Starbucks and how they handle issues of race- I'm surprised they allow someone like him to not only be in a management position, but work for the company at all. Starbucks should be ashamed. I will not be returning to this location, it's disgusting from a health and moral point of view. read more
