The Cannon is a coffee shop that offers a selection of sit down brunch options. Upon entering we were immediately greeted with a friendly smile from the barista at the counter. The interior is beautifully lit with natural light as the floor to ceiling windows allow for tons of light. The food was excellent, and I mean excellent. I had poached egg, with bacon and a waffle. It was so good. My mouth is salivating just thinking about it. My girlfriend had the salmon with avocado and waffle. That too was amazing. She had a cappuccino and the barista had done a very nice milk art. For me, since I dont drink coffee I had the organelle mango juice. Again, it was more than exceptional. Oh, along with the meal, they bring over Dawson's hot sauce and syrup. I had a taste of smoke bbq chipotle and instantly put over the bacon eggs and waffles. I couldn't leave without purchasing a bottle for myself. It was so good. If ever I'm in Hamilton again, I would definitely go here again.

PSYCHOTIC co-owner who takes pleasure in publicly BULLYING visitors!…read moreRead all the "lowest rated" reviews before heading here. Many people say the exact same thing. What actually happened: I came in and sat down, right away we got a legal document with all rules and regulation and menu was also in a legal document type. Just typed out on white paper (about 6 pages, see photo) it felt more like a contract than a café menu. I wanted to actually see what sweets they had so I came up to their counter. I chatted with a server lady who was nice, and I took a video of cookies I wanted to get (didn't even think much of that!). Right away the co-owner woman rudely told me to stop recording (there were no signs saying not to record but apparently that's in the 6 page document we got). I called her out on her rudeness and told her I will be leaving as I do not take being disrespected lightly (and that I would delete the video). She for some bizarre reason decided to ESCORT me out! (I was already leaving) making the situation far more dramatic than necessary and ensuring other customers were aware of it. It felt intentionally humiliating and completely disproportionate to what had happened. I don't understand how these people are in business or why so many good reviews. I trust many reviewers just simply haven't had the "pleasure" of meeting that owner (or are fake) In addition, this was the first cafe ever that had black tarp on its windows making sure nobody from the outside sees whats inside. This makes me question this place even further... Her going off on me like that SIMPLY because I took video also makes me question something is not right with this business. The co-owner is clearly unstable, takes very clear pleasure in disrespecting visitors. I would not support this business, eat her food and especially would not bring my dog here under any circumstance.

The scones with the clotted cream and jam was really good. Soft on the inside and has a nice crust to it. The other selections were great and the brownies were rich. The Turner Pavilion was easy to walk to - there is a pathway and tunnel you across through the garden. The tea house is absolutely gorgeous. It's a beautiful space with lots of sunlight. My friend and I ordered the Rose Garden Tower set and chose two different Sloan teas to try. Everything was perfectly divided, delicious and filling. I highly recommend this tea house! It is on the smaller side, so seating is limited, but depending on the time of year, they do have outdoor seating as well. I got the Classic Breaky sandwich, which was a toasted cheese bagel with cheddar cheese, egg, thick-cut bacon, and their house-made aioli. I also got a pumpkin spice latte, and both were amazing! The latte was definitely the highlight for me. They make their own syrups in-house, which they add to their lattes, and you can really taste the difference. The pumpkin spice latte was a 10/10. If you're in the area, skip the Starbucks for sure! The breakfast sandwich was also really good, especially with the thick-cut bacon and house-made aioli. I paid around $20 for both, so it is a little pricey in my opinion, but I can appreciate the price more when the quality and taste are there. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Some friends got the features drink, apple cider ginger beer (non-alcoholic) and they raved about it. Even went back to get one for the drive home lol, so something to try!
