The service was fast and efficient! There's a lot of seating options at this location! I love how it's decorated with the holiday spirit. It was cool to see they have shelves of items to purchase in the back. I got their holiday drink - Iced Gingerbread Chai and the Sugar Plum Cheese Danish. They warmed up the Danish and it was delicious! I also love their holiday chai drink. The chai could be a little stronger but it was not watered down. The only thing about this location is that parking can be hard to find if it's busy since it's only street parking. read more

Might go to my locations stock branch. I like this locations especially has other shop around it and then grand Avenue neighborhood. This shop is clean and have very nice ambience with fireplace so it's really relax. Quick and it's very busy sometime of the day. To be honest, some of my drinks are not consistent because of maybe different barista, otherwise it's your traditional Starbucks shop drinks. Will definitely stop by again since it's down the street. read more

You can't beat Grand Avenue. While I'm more about supporting small, I'd like to give a shout out to Starbucks especially the barista I had today. He greeted me with a smile, held a relevant/ funny conversation with me and left me feeling good! There's something about a coffee run that brings joy. This location has a front patio to dine on, an interior fireplace, and is in the greatest part of Saint Paul. Perfect for when you are out on a walk. Enjoy! read more

This Starbucks falls into the standard zone, so it gets 3 stars from me. It's in a very cool area of St. Paul in the Twin Cities. Someone explained to me that the Twin Cities don't really compete with each other since they share sports teams and such. It's more a matter of preference as to whether you like Minneapolis over St. Paul, or vice versa. From limited exposure, I like this area along Grand on Summit Hill in St. Paul more so than I like Eat Street(s) in Minneapolis. Inside, with its drab green-gray color that seems trendy these days, this isn't the most inviting Starbucks, though it's a nice combination of modern amenities with some old school fittings, such as the ceiling. This Starbucks is in one of those newfangled condo or apartment blocks with shops at street level. Inside, the store is larger than most. I was trying to go to Caribou on the same street but instead wound up at this Starbucks for a cup of tea. The staff did their job but seemed sort of aloof. There is varied seating inside, including some not so comfortable pub height seating at the perimeter by the windows, as well as limited seating outside. They could use more charging outlets. This location really did it right a la COVID prevention style. Almost every table in the cafe is pushed up against the wall. I spotted one large table available and it was (not surprisingly) taken. Small 2-seater tables are outside since inside sitting space is significantly limited. The barcode scanner and credit card reader is placed on a small table that separates you from the barista - clever - it protects everyone. Especially if you're there for a grab and go item from the shelf or refrigerated section, you will be the only one touching the item. read more

Honestly, I cheated on you with Caribou all because you had one, major flaw - no free wi.fi. So, in this case - it wasn't me; it was you. But you know what 'they' say, "let it go and if it's meant to be, it'll come back to you." Well, Starbucks, I waited patiently and you finally came to your senses - FREE WI.FI! You were no longer needy and fluffy and you just.... put out. What is up with the guys who work here? Awhile ago, I was amused by the one dude who would greet me with "What do you want?" Not "hi" or "good afternoon", he just got right to the point. Each time I see him working, I get a little excited by his lack of hospitality, but then... The last time I came in, a different guy was working and chatting with a regular customer. While it is an admirable trait to trade conversation with a regular, it's not great to ignore the girl waiting to order. It wasn't like I waited forever, but just long enough to be annoying. Then, he just looked at me. Like, I was interrupting him. Ooookay... As I order my two drinks, he proceeded to give directives to his co-workers, forget what I said the first time, had me repeat it, and then point at me and declare "You owe me 7 cents!" He pointed at me! I don't know, maybe I'm just ranting, but the service I've had here seems odd at best. read more

Can you ever go wrong with Starbucks? The staff is super friendly and personable AKA the kind of staff that starts their regular customer's orders; as soon as they walk in the door! This location is typically packed, especially on the weekend. There is a private lot in back, however it is typically full - look for street parking. This location is always clean, organized and well taken care of! As long as I am a coffee addict - I will ALWAYS love Starbucks, especially this location! I really liked this location of Starbucks. I stopped by this morning for a meeting, and instantly was attracted to the warm atmosphere, plus, who doesn't love Grand Ave?? The fire place was blazing on this cool and slightly snowy morning, which added to the cozy feeling. There are plenty of tables and comfy chairs for people who want to work or relax. I ordered the salted caramel hot chocolate and was pleasantly surprised by the rich chocolate flavor with the slightly nutty undertones. I love the new look! It's very fancy on the inside, complete with chandeliers, which is always a welcome treat when walking into a Starbucks. I was here a week ago with a friend, and even though the place was packed (Saturday morning), we found seating and the wait wasn't too long. We even brought in a Woullet's treat from down the block to go with our coffee, and nobody seemed upset about it. I have another friend who calls this spot "magical", as she loves to come here and study after class with a glass of wine. I'm looking forward to stopping by in the late afternoon/evening where ordering wine and one of the new supper foods is considered acceptable. I'll let you know if it is indeed "magical". At the moment, my opinion is that it's just a ritzy looking Starbucks that still serves the same coffee as any other Starbucks. read more

I got a phat starbucks giftcard for my birthday. so of course I will be in like every day until it is gone. But I wlll say this about my closest starbucks. She remembered us. She remembered our drinks, and asked if we would like our usual, and where the hell we have been. We laughed and joked and talked about their happy hour (where w/receipt you can go in after 2 and get any iced grande drink for 2 bucks.) I shared with her how I was at caribou the other day, and just wanted an arnold palmer, you know, lemonade mixed with tea? And how I had to make my own by purchasing an iced tea AND a lemonade and mixing them myself. I am updating my review because I have been here several times since writing this review, many times spending hours waiting for my daughter to get finished with her show rehearsals and most the baristas seem to be much nicer lately. Granted, most the ones I was talking about in my earlier review, I don't see anymore except one who is still pretty nasty but overall, the others are pretty friendly. I do like the crowd here, typical grand avenue folks, some Mac students, and an interesting mix of people. Because this Starbucks is so close to Steppingstone Theater, and because the Caribou across the street has horrible Internet, I will continue coming here. read more

I went to this Starbucks today to get either a cup of coffee or a bag of coffee for home. I saw a couple of different bags of whole bean coffee, but I don't own a coffee bean grinder. I told the person behind the counter that I was hoping to get a bag of their coffee and asked if there was a pre-ground option. He just said no, they're all whole bean. I left with a small cup of medium roast, since they were out of light roast. When I got home, my spouse said Starbucks offers to grind the whole bean coffee in house when he buys it. This is my favorite Starbucks in St Paul. Very friendly employees who go out of their way to remember my name and drink too. I love the fireplace here, that there is plenty of seating (though I do miss the comfy leather couch!) and it's always clean and never low on cream & sugar at the mixing station. I do wish they were open later, till 11 pm on Friday and Saturday nights (like the Starbucks at Grand and Victoria was years ago) would be great! I stopped in on a Saturday afternoon about 330. There was only one person in line. After the person in front of me went to get their drink, the young woman who was taking orders( black curly hair and glasses) started stocking the bagels, ignoring me. I went to sit for a moment as I am a nice person and when I went back up, there was no one in line. I stood at the counter for a few minutes and watched her walk over to the barista for some conversation. I decided to leave and as I was leaving she shouted can I help you?
