Popped in for an ice tea to go with dinner. Service at the counter was super slow but the one barista working knocked it out of the park. It is a really nice store with fantastic location by the cruise terminal.

We came to this starbucks 20 years ago everyday for a week during our honeymoon and have returned many times since, but this is the most recent. I was really happy to see everything is still the same and the store is nice and well kept up. Staff was friendly and helpful. I came in to get a Puerto Rico mug, but I guess they didn't have any due to some renovations which was disappointing, but we still got a coffee and sat outside.

Please expect a long line to order and a long queue for bathroom. All the employees are extremely nice but it's a very busy place. It's honestly a non stop queue. Food is good, ambiance is nice but if you're in a rush....

I only came here to grab a San Juan coffee cup. Didn't even get a coffee, but I did get my cup and it wasn't too far away from the port: worked out perfect!

This is the first Starbucks in PR. It's your typical Starbucks, but we came here for a quick breakfast since no other place in the area was opened yet. I also decided to try the Guavete Sandwich ($6.50), which is basically a pork and cheese roll. I liked that they cut it in half for us already, so perfect to split. Surprisingly, the pork was very tender even as a frozen item that was reheated.

This Starbucks is a bit run down. It is conveniently located if you need a place to grab a drink, take a break, and cool off. There's a large seating area and single restroom in the back of the store.

It's in a great location, within walking distance to the old Fort and very close to the cruise ship pier. Unfortunately it's the slowest Starbucks we've ever been in! 25 minutes to get a plain black coffee.. if they would actually staff it, they could have a booming business here.

The "manager" at this register should have his black apron revoked. He was rude and beyond sassy when I asked him to warm up my lemon pound cake, and he made my brown sugar oat milk shaken espresso incorrectly. It was not shaken! Worst Starbucks I have ever visited. Would not recommend.

The gal that speaks English but doesn't understand English

Worst service ever. The gal says she doesn't speak English. Uhhhhh! Poor lady had a drink half full and asked for ice and barista said she doesn't speak English. Put she speaks English.

Lots of seating and clean and roomy restrooms along with reasonably priced Been There cups make this a good stop for a refreshing drink and resting while exploring. It would have been even better if the line moved a little faster and mobile orders were accepted.

They made my drink correct. They came out perfect. They are unique Starbucks also. Good experience. Good customer service.

This Starbucks is well located and huge. Upon entering you can see how clean and organized they are. The main room keeps winding back to expose awesome cozy chairs and workspaces. The staff are very kind and efficient. They made my light ice iced coffee perfectly and the wait was short. The bathrooms are clean and available to customers.

AMBIANCE Parking: Old San Juan rules--come early or be ready to walk. Seating: Multiple seating areas for individuals and small groups but it's also a cafe too so there is seating in the back too. Vibes: Clean, modern café with a mix of locals and tourists. You can tell people come here for the coffee, not just to pass through. It leans more intentional and coffee-focused rather than just aesthetic--which I appreciated. FOOD / DRINKS Coquito Frap (Recommend) When in Puerto Rico, Coquito. Creamy, coconut-forward, and lightly spiced--like a frozen coquito with a coffee twist. Sweet, smooth, and definitely more of a dessert drink than a regular latte. CUSTOMER SERVICE Friendly and efficient. Even with a crowd, things moved quickly. TL;DR OVERALL 4.5 Stars. Solid spot. Great drink options at a reasonable price. They know what they're doing. Whether you're a coffee person or just need a reset, this place delivers. Salute to the Munoz family for sharing their coffee to the world! We loved it so much we actually went twice during our trip - and even made a final stop before heading to the airport to go home. On our first visit, Hector (the roaster) happened to be there, which made the experience feel even more special. The staff overall were all so kind and attentive. The coffee is absolutely excellent - velvety smooth, rich, and delicious. I could easily drink more than one cup. I had a latte, and my husband had a macchiato, and both were great. They have a cute little outdoor atrium seating area, but we preferred indoors where all the comfy pillow seating was. Just a note - they don't offer decaf - but for regular coffee drinkers, it's a must-visit. Such a gem in Old San Juan!

If you're on Calle San Francisco and the Coach store is to your right, keep walking till you see a yellow chemex sign on your left - that is the entrance to the coffee shop. Once you enter, it's a very tight space at the register and the alley is in the back with a few tables. The only menu I was able to peruse was that on their iPad which was annoying because I felt like I was holding up the line. I ended up ordering a small iced latte. I initially ordered it to enjoy in their alley, so I was told I can pay when I leave. I was there mid September and as much as I wanted to enjoy sipping my latte in the alley, it was super hot and stuffy. They could use some fans. Plus, it was taking forever to have the latte brought to me. As such, I went to the front to let the staff know I'll take it to go only to find him giggling with some friends. I guess that's why it took forever for me to get my drink. The latte itself wasn't bad, but considering the cost and the useless wait time, I would've gladly passed on this coffee shop.

We were welcomed inside where we ordered with an iPad. There were several options for drinks and pastries. The service was incredible; the barista helped us choose drinks and recommended us her favorite pastries. We were then escorted to the beautiful patio in the back, which is completely hidden from view on the street. The drinks were delivered to us in glass cups, and the pastries delivered covered by glass dome lids. The drinks and pastries were all 10/10. I am usually not a an iced coffee drinker, but I savored every sip of my drink. The mango pie and pecan tart were also delicious. Overall, I highly recommend Filtrado as a relaxing stop in Viejo San Juan. The service, drink, and ambiance were spectacular and I can confidently say that this is near the top of my cafe list!

The burger patty lacked flavor and there was no sauce or any accompaniments besides a very sad, wilted, thin slice of tomato and lettuce leaf. Pretty bad burger! The chicken sandwich was so heavily fried, we almost broke our teeth against the chicken. Insanely salty--we couldn't take more than a few bites. Felt so parched for the rest of the day. Fries were the best part of the meal--so salty and thin.

So, we are walking around old San Juan and I'm like homie I need the first drink we can find! Enter La taberna lúpulo. First, dude servicing the bar was extra cool. But my homie was like what do you recommend and he poured a sample of some blonde ale and... wheat ale con parcha!! I was like o snap let me have a glass of that. Fire!! I wouldn't call it sweet, but it has that hint. More importantly it was fresh and not funky. I personally find tap beer is usually not fresh tasting and tend to prefer bottles or cans when I drink beer. But that was not a problem here. Tasted brand new and delicious. The location is unbeatable, in the heart of old San Juan. The decor was fun and eclectic. I'm a fan of the elephant personally due to my old school ties with elephant size productions. Oh and it was super inexpensive. It was like $4-$5 a beer iirc. Which is crazy for a trendy neighborhood like this (La factoría around the corner). Great job to the staff at Lúpulo.
