So we came upon this place because we planned on going to Choco Lab across the street, I was disappointed to see they were super busy so came here to CafeLab. My latte was SO good. I got an iced caramel latte and tbh I had low hopes. It was so good and delicious, the espresso in it was so creamy and flavorful without being overwhelmingly strong. Literally a perfect latte and the best one I've ever had, worth its price. Highly recommend going here for a nice café before experiencing Old San Juan!!! Pretty sure I'll be returning tomorrow for another one.

Nice Cafe! Super chill. They have restrooms and seating. Got a chance to hangout with friends here while waiting for our chocobar seats (restaurant across the street). I got a bombon and loved it! Definitely check this place out.

My kind of coffee shop. Not too busy. The barista knew exactly what I wanted. Sitting area was real inviting. There are tables for working and the music was not too loud. The coffee was very flavorful.

Superb. Friendly, quiet, reasonable. And the cortado was delicious. Hope to get back there before we leave.

Grabbed an iced latte and an iced tea to go: the latte was smooth and well-balanced, not over-roasted like a lot of tourist-zone coffee shops nearby, and the iced tea was refreshing after walking the cobblestone streets. The menu keeps it simple -- espresso drinks, paninis (Cuatro Sombras, Yauco, Viejo San Juan), open toast with avocado & egg or salmon, and a solid breakfast lineup with guava butter toast and dulce de papaya oatmeal that lean into the Puerto Rican flavor profile. Loved seeing local sodas and juices in the fridge case alongside the usual water and La Croix. Staff moved efficiently even with a small crowd at the counter. Good spot to duck into for a quality coffee break in Old San Juan -- feels like a real local roaster rather than a chain, and the space itself is worth a look even if you're just passing through.

My sister and I got the same sandwich, Cuatro Sombras Panini and it was delicious! A bit heavy on the garlic aioli but it gave it a lot of flavor I got and iced caramel latte, I like when I can taste the coffee more than the flavoring and it was a perfect balance. My sister got their iced mocha. She likes her coffee sweeter than I do but she still really liked her drink too. The reason I'm giving this place 4 stars is because all the tables were a bit dirty. It wasn't busy when we first walked in but we still had to wipe down our own table

If you're on Calle San Francisco and the Coach store is to your right, keep walking till you see a yellow chemex sign on your left - that is the entrance to the coffee shop. Once you enter, it's a very tight space at the register and the alley is in the back with a few tables. The only menu I was able to peruse was that on their iPad which was annoying because I felt like I was holding up the line. I ended up ordering a small iced latte. I initially ordered it to enjoy in their alley, so I was told I can pay when I leave. I was there mid September and as much as I wanted to enjoy sipping my latte in the alley, it was super hot and stuffy. They could use some fans. Plus, it was taking forever to have the latte brought to me. As such, I went to the front to let the staff know I'll take it to go only to find him giggling with some friends. I guess that's why it took forever for me to get my drink. The latte itself wasn't bad, but considering the cost and the useless wait time, I would've gladly passed on this coffee shop.

We were welcomed inside where we ordered with an iPad. There were several options for drinks and pastries. The service was incredible; the barista helped us choose drinks and recommended us her favorite pastries. We were then escorted to the beautiful patio in the back, which is completely hidden from view on the street. The drinks were delivered to us in glass cups, and the pastries delivered covered by glass dome lids. The drinks and pastries were all 10/10. I am usually not a an iced coffee drinker, but I savored every sip of my drink. The mango pie and pecan tart were also delicious. Overall, I highly recommend Filtrado as a relaxing stop in Viejo San Juan. The service, drink, and ambiance were spectacular and I can confidently say that this is near the top of my cafe list!

They originally told us 45 minutes because they were at MAX capacity. We put our names down and walked around to see what else was nearby, and no more than 10 minutes TOPS later,we got the text that our table was ready! Our waiter Mark was amazing and gave us great recommendations, especially the croquetas. 100% get the house ones instead of the regular jamón y queso! For brunch, I had the avocado toast with turkey, my S/O had the chicken sandwich, and both were SUPER delicious. The star for me was the jalapeño salsa verde--honestly one of the best salsa verdes I've ever had!The passion fruit mimosa pitcher was also great. One thing to know: the front seating near the door can get warm, but they have fans. If you really need A/C, the back seating is air-conditioned,so just ask if they can seat you there. We couldn't choose amongst all the empty tables, because staff were rude and dismissive. AC wasn't working, so we felt the humidity and heat. Ceiling fans weren't cutting it. We got the $25 wagyu burger and $20 Mallorca chicken sandwich, both of which were dry, bland, and underwhelming at best. The burger patty lacked flavor and there was no sauce or any accompaniments besides a very sad, wilted, thin slice of tomato and lettuce leaf. Pretty bad burger! The chicken sandwich was so heavily fried, we almost broke our teeth against the chicken. Insanely salty--we couldn't take more than a few bites. Felt so parched for the rest of the day. Fries were the best part of the meal--so salty and thin.
