The barista was almost too cool to be bothered, like how dare I interrupt his vibe by ordering a black iced coffee. Or maybe it was just the language barrier. The one drink that I got was fantastic. Finding matcha in San Juan can be a bit challenging because some places don't even use real matcha but this place had great matcha. The employees were super nice. They spoke Spanish and English. They also had some good recommendations as well which was super helpful. They are a little small inside but they have super nice outdoor seating. If it's a sunny day, I would recommend going and drinking your beverage in their outdoor seating. read more

This was a solid coffee shop. I got their vanilla latte and they had a little corner where you could doctor up your drink. There were only two people working there, but they were both really nice. I think it's more of a local spot because people come in from all sorts of backgrounds, tourist, or local. The prices are reasonable at $6 for a vanilla latte and the staff is warm and inviting. I will say it is a little hard to find because you have to go past the outdoor sitting area and past a couple of food shacks. read more

The absolute best spot to get coffee on Calle Loiza. It is one of the few coffee places around brewing five star, pro quality espresso drinks. Whether it's just a shot, a cortado with oatmilk, or an iced latte, they do it all and do it great. They are a tiny, mostly grab and go spot, but they have a patio outside that is a really pleasant place to relax. I love that they have a selection of pastries from local bakers available, too. The guava quesito I had on my last visit hit the spot. Extra bonus points for having a cinnamon shaker out to give my drinks that added deliciousness. read more

Hidden in a little nook on the strip lies the best espresso in town and fun and friendly baristas to entertain. Yes, it's Cafe con Ce. After hiking through El Yunque and swimming in the springs, I needed a 4pm pick-me-up else I would sleep the whole night away. While most cafes close early, Cafe con Ce is open a little later if you need a late caffeine fix. The shop itself is small and almost hidden away behind an outdoor seating area. The ordering process was seamless and my partner and I got cortaditos. The service is great and the baristas were super chill and easy to talk to. While sipping our ridiculously smooth, creamy, and full bodied espresso we had a full fledged conversation in the shop since there was no one else around. Wish I remembered to snap a photo of the shop/cortadito but just take my word that they serve some great coffee and great vibes. read more

Very cute location, friendly staff, and the coffees are reasonably priced from five dollars to seven dollars. But they were just not good at all. The last they had no flavor, and the cold brew was just very water down to bitter. Sadly we just had to throw them away and get coffee some where else. read more

Everything (service, food, drinks) at the cafe was mediocre besides the merch. The merch was trendy, simple, and fun. With a 4.6 rating before I went, I was expecting a bit more. I got.. - matcha: matcha was the basic matcha. - avocado tomato toast: basically a thin layer of plain avocado sloppily spread onto a toasted piece of toast with a slice of soggy tomato and sprinkled with feta cheese and a red seasoning (I assume it's paprika) with a side of crushed potato chops. It was flavorless besides bites of feta. It is what it was advertised and sufficed as something in my stomach to start my day - espresso martini: I hesitated to order it after my initial order above, but I per usual did not listen to my gut when I should've lol I'm pretty sure the barista forgot my order. A guy ordered a matcha to go after me, and after sitting for a while and realizing he left, I realized i should've gotten my matcha by that point. I don't think she remembered until I went back up and she saw me because she made my drink right away. I don't hate the spot. But I the rating I saw before I went left me disappointed. I ordered the tiniest little pecan pie that was ever made, only to find out it was $5.75 after ordering it - no wonder the prices for the pastries were not advertised because otherwise I would have waited until I traveled to Texas for some pecan pie. I had an iced vanilla latte and did not love the vanilla that was used, but I went back a second time and got a cafe con leche and it was smooth and rich! I also had one of the dulce de leche pastries, but I got it to go and when I got back to my Airbnb all of the dulce de leche had stuck to the bag it was placed in and I don't think that could have been avoided but it was still good. Came here specifically to taste their espresso after seeing the positive reviews. Tough to see from the street but the map isn't wrong. Just have to enter on adjacent street. Upon entering there is lots of seating outside and 2 glass doors lead to a small stainless steel ordering counter. Ambiance is industrial and rustic but clean. They offer a few pastries but coffee is there main product. I ordered a cappuccino. The leaf design was standard but the crema was thick and full. The espresso taste was full bodied with a roast of medium-dark / full city. It has hints of cocoa and a lasting finish on the tongue with just a touch of acidity. Overall I loved it and rate it the highest of all the coffee places I've tried in PR over the course of a week including others such as 787, Cafe Don Juan, and Chocobar. read more
