Avocado suprema toast with added soft boiled egg
Trish P.

Williamsburg, Brooklyn NYC type beat in San Juan. Great coffee and cute minimalist setting. They use a lot of different material textures that scratches some weird interior design itch I crave when drinking coffee. Noon on a Wednesday was lively, with a mix of folks here solely for coffee and solely for food. Cold brew was well made - not a lot of punchy acidity that all cold brews seem to revert to; rather, their cold brew was more adjacent to single origin chocolate. Floral, some stone fruit, a lot of chocolate. Peachy daze pour over was good, nothing mind blowing. Mostly chocolate, a little bit of dark fruit, not much else. Note that they don't use a V60, but a no-bypass brewer (next level pulsar?). Service is not bad. I was standing awhile scouting for a table vacancy, but as soon as my order arrived, several tables came up available. This means the space is optimized given the crowd demand, the crowd which was mostly young 20-30s yuppies (short for "young urban professionals") out here either as expats or tourists. Still, good vibes all around.

Cute little cafe' with many coffee choices. There is also a small menu if you are hungry for more than coffee. It is a booming coffee shop. Always busy! Just get in line and order your drink. The staff speak English and Spanish. Very nice, easy to walk to.

Chai with cashew milk

The chai with cashew milk wasn't anything special but I would travel back to PR just to have the spicy egg sandwich again! I swapped the bacon for soft avocado slices, so it was messy but delicious. Cafe Regina is a cute little spot with lot of bright natural light and friendly service.

Cafe Regina was recommended to my friend and I by our Uber driver - and if there's one thing I love, it's a local recommendation. Nestled right in Santurce, Cafe Regina boasts a delicious breakfast/brunch menu - along with an excellent selection of caffeine. They also had a handful of items on their "specials" menu, which I'm sure entices the regulars. This restaurant is counter service. The line was kind of long, but not terrible and the staff made sure to keep it organized. I ordered a spicy breakfast sandwich along with a lavender matcha. My friend and I were able to snag a table rather quickly, where we waited for our food. After about 10 minutes or so, my name was called from the kitchen, where I was prompted to go pick up my sandwich. My matcha was picked up at the coffee station up front. Everyone was very friendly. It was incredibly busy, but felt cozy once we were able to have a seat. My breakfast sandwich was absolutely delicious, and I waited in line AGAIN for a second matcha. Overall, I would certainly return to Cafe Regina and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a standard brunch menu.

Saw a girl recommend the cashew milk latte on TikTok before I arrived and looked up how far it was from my hotel only to realize it was only 3 min walking distance! The coffee shop itself was aesthetically pleasing. It was pretty packed as it was a Saturday but the line moved quick. Every single table was taken which was a great sign that it is popular and rightly so! I ordered the cashew milk latte which is made in house (cashew milk). It also has maple syrup and cinnamon! Very tasty and creamy! My fiancé ordered a regular iced latte and he enjoyed his drink as well. They didn't have regular breakfast quick bites to go (bagels or muffins) but they did have a variety of pastries that I happened to notice by the cash register. We ordered a slice of orange olive oil cake and the cake was bursting with flavor and was very moist. Forgot to take a picture of menu and cake as we took our stuff to go to enjoy on the beach, but I'd highly recommend this coffee shop if you are staying in the condado area!

Cafe Regina is close to the beach, lovely, and colorful! This place gets really crowded, so there may not be as many seats available, but the wait is well worth it. The staff is really pleasant and friendly. Breakfast and lunch options at the cafe are excellent. My go to order was matcha, which was delicious, and avocado toast with a boiled egg on the side. The avocado was fresh and tasted good with a little zing. On my second visit, I ordered the turkey sandwich on toasted bread with bacon, lettuce, and tomatoes. This cafe gets a 10/10 from me!

Good breakfast variety even though some items were unavailable on their menu. Small selection of bakery items was also available which was good. Tried the chocolate banana muffin, an avo toast, and latte. Came here 2 days in a row. Once in Saturday quiet afternoon and Sunday morning which was extremely busy! Lots of natural light, plants, and moderate amount of spacing. Food came out pretty fast too despite a busy morning. Enjoyed this space and would return :).

Love this coffee shop!! The coffee is great, the cappuccino was especially strong and vibrant! And the papaya bowl was so unique, refreshing and flavorful. Great service and cool, hip ambience with lots of seating, big windows and plants. Will be back again!!

I stop by here every single time I am in PR and am staying in the area. This coffee shop is one of my favorites. Lots of good seating, though it gets very crowded throughout the day. Their coffee and food is very good! If you are near this spot, definitely stop by and check it off your list!

I loved everything about this cafe. You know it's good when bith the locals and tourists are lining up as soon as they open their doors. The food is delicious, the drinks compliment the food very well, and the people are really nice. The vibe in here is so chill/cute. I could definitely see myself hanging out here for a while. Come check this place out! Just be advised there might be a line.

This cafe is so beautiful and the food is delicious, the coffee and Kate's are good too!! There's always a line though so come ready to wait, but don't worry everything moves quickly and people find a table soon. There's limited street parking. Service is good, everyone is kind and the food comes out quick!

Avocado toast with black garlic and pickled radish
David E.

Everything at Cafe Regina from the service, the fresh ingredients, and atmosphere was great! Coffee was amazing, I had a vanilla latte with their house made cashew milk. But the star of the show was definitely the avocado supreme with black garlic and pickled radishes. If you're in the area do yourself a favor and stop here, twice. yw

Seating: Multiple seating areas for individuals and small groups but it's also a cafe too so there is seating in the back too. Vibes: Clean, modern café with a mix of locals and tourists. You can tell people come here for the coffee, not just to pass through. It leans more intentional and coffee-focused rather than just aesthetic--which I appreciated. FOOD / DRINKS Coquito Frap (Recommend) When in Puerto Rico, Coquito. Creamy, coconut-forward, and lightly spiced--like a frozen coquito with a coffee twist. Sweet, smooth, and definitely more of a dessert drink than a regular latte. CUSTOMER SERVICE Friendly and efficient. Even with a crowd, things moved quickly. TL;DR OVERALL 4.5 Stars. Solid spot. Great drink options at a reasonable price. They know what they're doing. Whether you're a coffee person or just need a reset, this place delivers. Salute to the Munoz family for sharing their coffee to the world! TIPS * Try their house coffee if you want the full experience--that's what they're known for.

We loved it so much we actually went twice during our trip - and even made a final stop before heading to the airport to go home. On our first visit, Hector (the roaster) happened to be there, which made the experience feel even more special. The staff overall were all so kind and attentive. The coffee is absolutely excellent - velvety smooth, rich, and delicious. I could easily drink more than one cup. I had a latte, and my husband had a macchiato, and both were great. They have a cute little outdoor atrium seating area, but we preferred indoors where all the comfy pillow seating was. Just a note - they don't offer decaf - but for regular coffee drinkers, it's a must-visit. Such a gem in Old San Juan!

I've bought them at the grocery store for my mother over the years when I couldn't find Menier. I was hoping to see some unique desserts at Chocobar Cortés. Let's just say that the chocobar at this location was not what I was expecting. It's like an express version of their original one in Old San Juan. This is located in the lobby of the Condado Palm Hotel. There are 2 entrances. Don't make the same mistake we did by trying to access at street level. That door is locked. You'll need to enter through the hotel lobby. The service is very slow here. There was only one other person there. We ordered a box of 6 chocolates and payed for it. I'm guessing he was making a drink for the other guest because he asked us to wait a few minutes. It ended up being longer so he told his colleague (who just came back from a break) to make up the chocolate box for us. Unfortunately, it took even longer as this other guy was more interested in the 2 young girls who just walked in. The chocolate bonbons were good, but nothing unique. It's the same artisan chocolates that you see everywhere for the same high price. Perhaps this location is better for their specialty cocktails in the evening time. I was looking forward to trying the choco-latte at some point. I doubt there will be a next time.
