Friendly staff and excellent coffee. Everytime I come here they never disappoint and it's usually a quick trip. I just wish they had more variety on merchandise, (mugs, tumblers) however that isn't their fault.

Great service, fast and efficient. The staff is friendly and demonstrated the high level of service we are accustomed to from Starbucks! Highly recommend.

AWWWWW...AS SWEET AS IN THE STATES! The sweet caffeine, outdoor seating, sunshine and a tropical breeze, all mixed together into one experience is like heaven on Earth! We stopped here on our way to catching a cab for our cruise. Wanting something quick and light, we chose Starbuck's. This location is perfect as it's in the Gallery Plaza, connected to a pretty large DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel and a courtyard of shops and Silk's Asian Fusion restaurant. Opting to eat and relax outdoors, they have an expansive patio seating area that overlooks a serenely sounding water fountain. I ordered my usual; it tasted uniformly as delicious and pleasing as in the States. The added plus is that the pretty Barista spoke English and helped to make my treat exactly how I like it. What a great start to our day! Now this is what a vacation should feel like!

Yum.

Open at 6am, it became my regular coffee stop on the way to work while staying at the Doubletree next door. There is one barista in particular that was super friendly and talkative, and normally was the one who opened the storefront at 6am. Located in a scenic courtyard, there are many tables inside and outside.

Don't order the lime cooler!!! What garbage!

Grabbed an iced latte and an iced tea to go: the latte was smooth and well-balanced, not over-roasted like a lot of tourist-zone coffee shops nearby, and the iced tea was refreshing after walking the cobblestone streets. The menu keeps it simple -- espresso drinks, paninis (Cuatro Sombras, Yauco, Viejo San Juan), open toast with avocado & egg or salmon, and a solid breakfast lineup with guava butter toast and dulce de papaya oatmeal that lean into the Puerto Rican flavor profile. Loved seeing local sodas and juices in the fridge case alongside the usual water and La Croix. Staff moved efficiently even with a small crowd at the counter. Good spot to duck into for a quality coffee break in Old San Juan -- feels like a real local roaster rather than a chain, and the space itself is worth a look even if you're just passing through.

The cafe itself is small but we were able to find seating anyways. Service was somewhat confusing... you have to order at the counter and then wait for them to call your name. They called our names a couple times but were not ready each time leading to our confusion. We ordered a latte and the croissant and both were delicious! Would definitely come back for this croissant!

Oh boy... this was a 10/10!…read more After spending a long, hot day exploring Old San Juan with the kids, we stopped by Cortés ChocoBar in Condado for something cold, and it was exactly what we needed. We ordered three of their frozen chocolate drinks, and every single one was absolutely delicious. Thankfully, it wasn't busy when we stopped by, so it was the perfect place to cool off and take a break from the heat. The café had a modern, inviting atmosphere, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. I asked if one of the frozen drinks could be split for the kids, and although they didn't split it for us, they happily gave us two extra cups so we could divide it ourselves. It was a simple gesture that we really appreciated. The frozen chocolate drink was rich, creamy, refreshing, and perfectly chocolatey without being overly sweet. Even the whipped cream was delicious, especially with the chocolate pieces on top. Everyone in our group loved it, and it quickly became our favorite sweet treat of the trip. Whenever we're craving something cold and chocolatey during our stay in Puerto Rico, this will definitely be our go-to spot. We can't wait to come back and try their bonbons before we head home!

I've bought them at the grocery store for my mother over the years when I couldn't find Menier. I was hoping to see some unique desserts at Chocobar Cortés. Let's just say that the chocobar at this location was not what I was expecting. It's like an express version of their original one in Old San Juan. This is located in the lobby of the Condado Palm Hotel. There are 2 entrances. Don't make the same mistake we did by trying to access at street level. That door is locked. You'll need to enter through the hotel lobby. The service is very slow here. There was only one other person there. We ordered a box of 6 chocolates and payed for it. I'm guessing he was making a drink for the other guest because he asked us to wait a few minutes. It ended up being longer so he told his colleague (who just came back from a break) to make up the chocolate box for us. Unfortunately, it took even longer as this other guy was more interested in the 2 young girls who just walked in. The chocolate bonbons were good, but nothing unique. It's the same artisan chocolates that you see everywhere for the same high price. Perhaps this location is better for their specialty cocktails in the evening time. I was looking forward to trying the choco-latte at some point. I doubt there will be a next time.
