I usually take the drive-thru and the wait time is decent. When you pull up to the window, you'll typically see a friendly face. Inside is great, it's a spacious location with relaxed lighting and soft music. There's tons of merch and coffee bags, at least time I checked. There's also a patio in the front with a few tables. I stopped by this Starbucks for the first time in a while and had one of the strangest ordering experiences I've had at a coffee shop. I ordered a Salted Caramel Frappuccino, and while the first employee was in the middle of helping me, a second employee interrupted and said, "We don't have salted caramel. Do you have a recipe?" A little confused, I simply switched my order to a Caramel Frappuccino. From there, the interaction only got more awkward. The second employee let out a loud sigh before asking what size I wanted. When I asked if the drink contained coffee, they responded, "All of our frappes have coffee in it," in a noticeably annoyed tone. The response made me feel like I was dumb for even asking the question, when I genuinely didn't know whether the drink contained coffee or not. When my drink came out, it was completely white with only a little caramel drizzle on top and none on the sides of the cup. I've ordered Caramel Frappuccinos many times before, and it looked nothing like what I'm used to receiving, which left me even more confused. What disappointed me most wasn't the drink itself, but the overall customer service. Having two employees talk over each other while taking my order was confusing, and the attitude I received made me feel like I was inconveniencing them by simply placing an order. Pit stopped on the way home, first visit to this location, drive thru is oddly located and the line was backed up through the parking lot rendering cars trying to back out of stalls nearly impossible. Our wait was horrendously long at over 25 minutes, but the girl taking our order was friendly and thorough. When pulling up to the window, I noticed the employees seemed more like they were messing around amongst each other instead of being efficient and working with any sense of urgency hence why the line was probably taking so long. We then noticed a hoard of flies hanging at the window, landing on the edge, all over the card reader as well as crawling in and out of a hole in the window. After spending $20 on one drink and a couple sandwiches, my coffee Frappuccino ended up tasting like blended milk with no coffee. Very disappointing and a waste of my time and money. I came back because I needed coffee. The lady is better. She was quite helpful in getting me the decaf coffee sugar-free, vanilla with Stevia Frappuccino that I was hoping for. Last time, she got my order wrong. This time the coffee Frappuccino was actually better than I expected. I would definitely get it again. This is my go to Starbucks because it's so close to home and convenient. The staff is super friendly and my drinks are always made perfectly to order. The reason for 4 stars and not 5 is because the outside of the store is always dirty. Trash, debris and homeless can be found right outside the door. This location is amazing mostly because of their employees: I'm always greeted, yes some days can be busy but just give them grace. They try to remember my drinks , Eddie amazing , jasmine great , bri in the morning so sweet , the manager always go over and beyond. They try to keep everything clean unfortunately they are next to a smoke shop so that does not help keep outside clean. This store has went downhill so quickly. Used to be fast and pleasant but now it's extremely slow and very few happy people. My guess is new management. All of the baristas that were good are no longer at the store. Guess I'll be going elsewhere. It's a shame because it really was a nice place to see happy people and to get a decent cup of coffee. The cafe was clean and a nice place to study at. I've always came here and used to buy things. However, I didn't appreciate being expected to buy something in order to just stay. I don't approve of Starbucks now but being the only cafe to go to by my house to study for an exam the next morning was my best thought. So having to buy something or get kicked out was an uncomfortable experience, but I abided cause you pick and choose your battles lol. Did not enjoy being put in that situation at all but I guess it's a new policy but I don't appreciate it. This Starbucks is located on the corner of Sanderson and Esplanade. I don't know what the inside looks like as it is COVID19 era and only utilizing the drive-thru for my coffee satisfaction. It was refreshing to be met with a smiling voice. As I couldn't see the smile through the mask but it was felt. Not only did I receive the best customer service with my drink BUT I wasn't sure how to redeem my rewards for a coffee mug since there was a pandemic. Luz gladly accommodated the question and went out of her way to make the experience true to Starbucks hospitality. Thank you so much Luz for showing kindness when it was most needed. I went at 7:20pm they had the front door locked and the side door open. There were about 10 guests inside utilizing the tables and chairs. So I walked in, I saw the chairs and cones placed out but didn't think anything just thought maybe they were cleaning. Wow... this morning I had ordered a Royal English Tea Latte on the app, something I found myself doing more now, and it was a little wait before I had to pick up. Went through Drive-thru and told them my name. Picked up the drinks and it was not what I had ordered at all. It was just the tea. No sweetener, not even made into a Latte just plain hot tea.
