The food and coffee is the same pretty much at every Starbucks, so I rate them on speed and atmosphere. This one is A+ in both. They always make my order quickly and they never mess it up. As for atmosphere, this Starbucks hasn't changed to that dreadful new seating that says "we don't want you to stay here." This place still has traditional tables and chairs that invite you to sit down and drink your coffee or eat your sandwich. What really sells this place is the beautiful outdoor patio. It's large, visible from the inside but blocked off from the street by well maintained bushes. There are lots of tables, chairs, and patio umbrellas, so if there's no where to sit inside, you can still sit and enjoy your coffee in a comfortable environment. They play good music too! The two whom I just love are Rachel and Paul. They are always have such enthusiasm whenever I come in. Like Hey how's it going!? And super happy and upbeat. My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary when we decided to stop by at this Starbucks for some coffee. We were instantly greeted by two employees. The male employee was even kind enough to help us out on deciding what to order. The menu can get overwhelming sometimes. For my drink, he suggested a coffee mixture that he personally enjoys since I wanted a hot drink that is sweet. The drink was perfect! Loved the hint of cinnamon. This Starbucks is located in Liberty Station and is right there by N. Harbor Drive and Laning Road. This location does not have a drive thru. There is plenty of parking in the lot out front. It can be a little busy/crowded due to the Uber/Lyft/personal drivers who are parked there waiting for their next call. Although, lately, we have not really noticed them there as much. This location is approximately a small-medium sized Starbucks. There are some tables available inside. There is also a nice outdoor area with tables and umbrellas, as well. There always seems to be people hanging out at this location whether they are on their laptops or just hanging out. But, it never has felt too crowded. Of course, there is free wi-fi. Staff is nice and friendly, and service is quick. We have never had to wait long to place or receive our orders. They have a designated bar/ledge/countertop spot inside for completed mobile orders. There's a sign hanging from the ceiling indicating the location if you are unsure. It is pretty much towards the left as soon as you walk in. The store, including the bathroom, is usually kept really clean. They make the drinks to order and haven't messed any of ours up yet! Starbucks encourages people to bring their own reusable cups. That is why they offer a discount and extra stars every time you bring your own. Well today was no different for me. Until the blonde girl behind the counter was completely inappropriate and unprofessional. She insinuated that I brought a dirty cup. Asked me if my cup was dirty. I mean how dare you! Then continued to say that Starbucks only will take personal cups if they are clean. Well no shit! Why the heck would my self or anyone bring in a dirty cup? My cup and all the about thousand that I own are in pristine condition. So her attitude and comments to me were terrible. I also had my service animals with me because I have a disability. This location is one of the best Starbucks I have been to in California. The Staff is excellent and fully on point. It is across the street from the Naval base and gets a nice, professional crowd. The inside is smaller than average but there is a large outdoor seating area with nice bushes blocking the street. They share a large lot with the Liberty Station complex. Not only was the coffee consistent, but I found both a "San Diego" and "California" collectors mugs here to add to my collection! I have frequented this location quite a number of times since moving to the San Diego area. One major drawback of this location is that there is no drive-thru. That can be quite a hang up for this location if one is in a hurry and would prefer a drive thru option. However, there is plenty of parking in this little shopping center, so running in to pick up an order really shouldn't be a huge ordeal. The parking lot can be a bit busy in the mornings and around lunchtime due to the other businesses in the area being patronized as well as people that park there and then leave their cars for a bit throughout the day.
