This location has the nicest, most cheerful window staff of any Starbucks I frequent. I go there about once a week around 4:30 after work. The ladies always sound so happy and not stressed, i look forward to seeing who will be serving at the window. Nothing unique about this place, nothing special. Meh. A cookie-cutter Starbucks, just like most of the other ones. It has a drive-thru, and a crowded parking lot. I've seen the line get so long that it wraps around the building and blocks people in the parking lot. So much for fast coffee. I've never really cared for SBUX's coffee. It tastes burned and charred. Over roasted. Bitter. At least they have all the fixin's for my coffee. Lo-fat, cream, sugar in the raw. They've got it all. Just like any other SBUX you've been to. There's no outdoor seating to speak of. They close earlier than the other SBUX's, closing at 8p. read more

When you need a coffee fix near DT, look no further. I stop here regularly since it's close to my office and the theatre. The drive thru moves customers through quite efficiently while the inside staff is friendly and will put a smile on your face. It's a typical Starbucks set up, so don't expect any new or unique experience when coming here. But chances are you'll be greeted with a smile and have a pleasant time here. The downfall to this location is in its parking and drive-thru situations. From time to time the drive thru line can wrap around the bldg and with two street entrances can cause quite the gridlock in the parking lot (granted they move the line quickly, but this still poses a problem). This is my go to Starbucks stop, because it's the closest location to work, but it's not my favorite one. The staff is friendly, and most of the time my order is right. It is conveniently located off of San Pedro, and close to San Antonio College. But it's a little bit of a traffic death trap. Parking is very tight and it's hard to get in and out of when it's busy. So if you know that, and have a small car, you can enjoy the coffee and get back on the road quickly. Four stars for fast friendly service and consistency. read more

Today there was a dog and his owner inside the restaurant, without a leash. The dog was not on a leash. It was a large German shepherd. The dog was putting its feet and nose on the counter where they set the drinks. So gross and unsanitary. I'm pretty sure this is against the law as well as just plain dumb. I have found the location always to be clean and neat, and quick and accurate with my beverage orders even though it does get pretty busy throughout the day as it is located near Dtsa and SAC. I used to be a regular Starbucks customer, until I realized how much money I was spending and how much better other coffee joints are. Now, Starbucks is a "when I run out of coffee but don't feel like going to the grocery store and oh look I have an old gift card and I don't even have to get out of the car" place. That's Starbucks as a whole. But this location...UGH. I've lived over by it for about 18 months. In that time, here's what has happened on my visits: The coffee has been weak, at best, at least 3 times. Like, watered down weak. They've closed several hours early on 2 occasions - lights still on...7 pm...on a Saturday. No explanation. Just "Sorry we're closed". I've received what I'd call barely lukewarm coffee. Like this morning. When I have ordered regular coffee with cream, there is more cream than coffee. Twice. This particular location has nice staff and is clean. Otherwise, if you want a decent cup of coffee...might I suggest the gas station? At least it'll be hot, and taste like coffee. read more

I like my Starbucks coffee, but I tell ya, this 15 minute wait in the drive thru is way too long. I used to go into the store, but then it seemed like people in drive thru were served faster. For a while I was breezing through the line, but lately the wait is too long. I don't know if there are new employees that are training which might explain things. I have noticed this location seems to be out of oatmeal quite a bit and certain sandwiches. I've never had this problem with the other Starbucks I frequent. I come to this location as its down the street from work but I don't like budgeting an extra 1/2 hr to go thru the line. Starbucks also has a new reward system that I'm not happy with. Before you would get a point for each purchase.after 12 points( stars) you would get a fee drink. Gold members would get other perks. Now you can become automatic gold member with a purchase during the rolling out the new rewards program through May 2016. You get 2 points for every dollar spent. You get a free reward ( anything on the menu) after 125 points . So basically I'm spending approximately $63 dollars for a reward. I don't think fractions of rewards are give and I don't know if the reward is round up to nearest dollar. Before I could get a star for a coffee. Now I have to buy 30 tall (small) coffees for a reward. Rewards do not apply to gift cards which I usually purchase a lot for holidays. Rewards don't expire for 6 months which is a longer time than the previous system. They will offer days when you can get extra points, so it is recommended you opt in to the emails. I have to admit as I was getting close to the 12th star I would come in to Starbucks more often. With this system I'm not sure. read more

It's hard for me to pan this place because when they are fully staffed, they are on point. My issue is that you never know when their employees are going to show up and the lobby will be closed down because they do not have enough staff. This means that even if you do the mobile app, which revolutionized my life, it is not guaranteed. This means that now, even if you used the mobile app, you have to get in line through the drive thru to get your mobile order coffee. On multiple occasions, I have just swallowed the loss and left. The last time this happened, I did go back and they credited my account but again, they fully accepted the short staffing situation. I guess this is a sign of our times but definitely frustrating when you only have a few minutes to come in, pick up your Mobil order coffee, and be on your way. I truly hope this location can get their staffing issues together. read more

I was served a nasty concoction by a barista named Abby. She's infected with TDS. I complained to the manager and he stuck up for her. saying, "Abby likes making drinks for people". Yep. I had a little time this morning to get my Starbuck fix before heading to work. I thought I was going to be in and out of the shop, but ended up waiting 15 minutes for a Trenta iced tea. There was no line and one person in front of me. They had a staff of three. They don't have a drive thru so I don't understand the delayed service. Not to mentioned I was ripped off! I paid for a Trenta and the barista filled the Trenta with a venti serving cause home boy messed up the order. I was already late for work and no time to be an ass so here i am venting. I have always received great service at this location. Yesterday Joshua was very courteous and helpful which adds to my high rating. I usually submit a mobile order at most locations I visit but this location has been consistent in looking for customers to ask follow up questions to their order or to let them know if they would like a substitute item if need be. The location is the problem with this starbucks - here's why: They take the starbucks mobile app, which is why I stopped in for coffee. The order was processed in 2min, which was great, but it was hard to get in and out of the parking lot. The lot is on a very busy intersection, and the drive-through makes it difficult to enter on both sides. read more

It shows they open at 530 but I have been there 2 days In a row and they don't. There are employees inside, the boards are lit up and looks like they are open but they are not. I wait in the drive through and nothing. Then I park and go to the door and they are locked. An employee shows 6 fingers meaning 6 am. So maybe they don't open till 6??? read more

Newer location, so not on some maps. Typical Starbucks style with easy music, nice aroma, and sitting. One table in corner that seats 6 or more, 2 smaller tables and 4 comfy chairs. Not big but not the smallest i've seen. Coffee was good as usual; big fan of Starbucks coffee. Wifi here is VERY slow. Not good, especially as there was only myself and one other person using the service at the time. read more

I mean, it is not professionally acceptable to have a racial conversation at work, especially if that employee was wearing the Starbucks uniform.
