I decided to try this Starbucks since it was near by a furniture store I wanted to browse through. I had their pistachio latte with oat milk, which is one of my favorites. With the strong nutty taste and the extra sweetness of the oat milk, this was perfect. The staff were friendly and efficient, even during busy hours. They clearly care about providing good service to their regulars. This place def has comfortable seating that makes it perfect for grabbing a quick coffee or meeting up with friends. The barista gave me a tall latte that was less than three quarters full. ( Starbucks has a policy of remaking your drink upon request) The barista took my cup and said what's wrong. I said it's barely 3/4 filled. She took the cup and said ok. I guess her manager Alyzh said, "You could ask nicer." I replied, "I did." She replied, "You didn't say please. It's civility." Today while I was on my run I noticed that there was a Starbucks in the area. Well anyways I was running and at that point I was 3 miles into my run I was completely drenched in sweat and felt like I was genuinely going to faint. I usually never go to places and ask for a water cup but this was my first time doing so in a very long time. Well anyways there was a lady that worked there doing cashier and drinks as well. Generally, this location is pretty fast in making drinks but still suggest ordering ahead ~10 min ahead especially early on a weekday morning. This is usually my go to location as they make your drinks right! The baristas are well trained as everything I've ordered here has been up to par and taste how it should be and almost perfect every time even with modifications! They don't always greet you when you come in, but I can care less about that. However, it would be nice at times when looking for your drink at the order section that they ask and help you look for your drink if you find yourself struggling since some are tucked under the wall. At times I have to get their attention to ask. Otherwise, staff has been overall nice. My gripe about this location though is the parking. Small parking lot, but generally there will be a spot open as many just come and go, but the spaces are pretty tight. You can come here to do work or study as they do have plenty of seats and tables but just note the difficulty in parking. read more

It was about 89° today and had a friend stop by to go get a cup of water. She's a runner and was about 2 miles away from her house. This particular Starbucks denied her water? Yeah that's kinda messed up. As a person who have been supporting this company longer than some employees that has been here it's really disappointing. All they could say is that "they have a New CEO and that the new boss don't want to give out free water". Well, show this 1 Star Yelp Review to your new boss this and maybe he will change his mind. Chill Coffee Spot In East Sac SITREP Honestly, I only came here because I had gone to Tupelo's to see how it was doing these days: TOTALLY SLAMMED full of people. There was no where to sit. Felt totally awkward as dozens of eyes looked at me as if "Who are you? You don't belong here? Are you an East Sac Resident? Are you a SacState Student?" I could feel the judgment at Tupelo as if you they saw through to my Midtown skin. Given there is damn near a Starbucks on every corner, this is the one I consider my neighborhood Starbucks. I have been coming here for years and so has this one man who is a regular there, but surprisingly never greeted one another. He has probably observed me through my whole journey of becoming a mother and a stepmom by me coming in with my big belly then with my son and now with my son and my two bonus sons. This place works hard to service their East sac residents. Always clean and staffed with welcoming people I have never encountered a truly bad experience here. Yes mobile ordering can take a little longer than usual at times in the more recents months (2019) during the week in the morning, but then you just adjust your mobile order to doing in about 5 minutes earlier. The Nitro Cold Brew is cold, frothy and highly caffeinated. The staff is uniformly friendly and upbeat. I appreciate that they ask everyone to wear masks and that we all handle our own card swipeage. As for the person who made the drink she started off friendly but when she gave me a venti brown sugar shaken espresso with 1/4 oatmilk missing, I asked her if she could fill it to the top with oatmilk. There is a employee who works as the barista at this location. She is consistently sarcastic with me when I order. I am calling Star Bucks customer service immediately so that she is corrected. She is ASIAN and has bright red dyed hair. I have witnessed her treat other customers this way, with sarcasm, rude remarks, and an uneven temper. I will not tolerate it anymore. I spend a lot of money at Star Bucks and I enjoy sitting and working on my computer. I have no idea who she is or why she is so inappropriate with customers. I am going to have her spoken too. If I come back and her behavior has not improved I will call Customer Service again. Today was the first time I returned to this Starbucks since the pandemic. The barista that helped me was the sweetest young lady, loved how she laughed and you can actually see her smile through her eyes with her mask. She told me she was new and to please be patient. She took my order and made both drinks too!! I was there around 3:15 on July 29th, I was her last customer before she took her break. I wish I got her name. Its a typical Starbucks. People were nice and the place was pretty comfy. I have to say that the place is really easy to be in. There are a lot of other starbucks that purposely make it uncomfortable. I say its because they dont want people lounging around all day long. Its suppose to be a place to stop by and then go. This starbucks was pretty comfortable. I was able to set up my study station in a corner and finish what I needed to do. I went on a Friday evening and it was not that busy. This location is close to my office. They're always friendly here and do a great job with getting drinks out quickly. They keep the food stocked and the tables clean. The parking spaces seem narrower than normal but I'm usually in and out without any problems. When you walk in, it doesn't feel like a Starbucks. it was missing something with the store layout. I do like the building exterior which is quite cool. Some pros they have is there are lots of seating in the inside for studying. I liked how there are outlets everywhere. There's nothing wrong with this Starbucks on its own. It still serves up all that goodness that has made this chain more common in some areas than McDonald's. The bad part here is the location. It's always busy, there is never any parking and if you want turn left on Elvas you must follow a complicated pattern of u-turns or go completely around the block. It's nice because it is in a neighborhood where probably a lot of folks walk anyway, but if you are driving it is almost more convenient to pass this one up and hit up another location. I go to Starbucks all over town. I frequent the stores minimally twice a day, every day. This location is nice as there's usually parking right outside. It's not huge, but it's not small inside. The staff are friendly, but I honestly do not go there enough to know any of them. My biggest complaint would be that the store is always cold. Part of the reason is that there's a door on opposite ends of the store (problematic in the colder months). Then, in the summer when the doors would not be an issue, the air conditioning is blasting. When the weather's nicer they have a few chairs and umbrellas, but some of the outside tables have no umbrella at all. Since almost all the tables face south, that's a problem. Like so many businesses, it is the small, nuanced things that bring down the quality of the experience. Why hasn't the manager​addressed​d the lack of umbrellas? Why is the temperature monitored for comfort? Too often when I've complained at an​ SBs about it being too cold​, I'vee been told, "We can't change it. It's determined by 'Corporate.'" Seriously? A store manager has absolutely no control over the internal temperature? Someone at SBs headquarters in Seattle controls the millions of SBs stores nationwide (if not worldwide​)? read more

I have been going to this Starbucks since it opened. It was a block away from my mom's house and I was always going in at all hours of the day to get my caffeine fix. In the beginning, the interior was very spacious and there was ample room to sit and relax throughout the day. However, in the last year or so, there has been an addition of furniture that has cluttered the already small venue. It is (and has always been) very crowded and busy and so I don't blame their new furniture; however, they might want to look into a larger space and they are quite literally busting out of the seams at their current location. Another issue with this location is the lack of parking. There is a private lot for the row of businesses in the plaza but there always seems to be a severe lack of parking spaces. Often, I am parking across the street next to the Pub or on the street on the other side of the Starbucks. I am really not sure how to fix this problem but it has only gotten worse with the addition of the Subway next to the Starbucks. Other than the spatial issues with this Starbucks and the relatively small amount of parking available, there isn't anything else to complain about. I suggest you exit on the 55th street side (turn right) instead and go around the block (turn right on to F Street then left on to Elvas).
