Stopped by today for 2 caffeinated beverages! My large latte was uh lotsa milk. Like, a lot. Didn't even taste the coffee. Oh well. I'll order a small next time. Wife liked her cortado, which we dumped into my milk and lo & behold we invented a lovely new drank! A lortado. Or is it a catte? Service is a lil' slow but we'll be back cuz they're mum n pup local small bizneess.

I needed to meet up with someone in the West Sac area for an upcoming event so I turned to Yelp to find a good spot. He Brews Coffee came up as a spot nearby with a parking lot and, most importantly, coffee! I was able to find it easily right off of Jefferson blvd and I grabbed a spot right out front. The person I was meeting couldn't stay so I gave them some event supplies and headed into the shop on my own. I walked right up to the counter and received a greeting from the person working. They let me peruse the menu and we made some small talk. They ended up suggesting their white chocolate mocha and I happily went with the suggestion. I also ordered an iced chai to bring home to my husband. They also offer breakfast and lunch options and I made a note to come back to try one of their sandwiches. While I waited for the drinks I took in my surroundings. They have a good amount of tables as well as some couch seating. It's comfortable and welcoming and would be a great spot to study or meet someone. They also have a bookshelf, a tv and it looks like they have merchandise for sale. The drinks didn't take too long and I took them straight home. My drink was really hot when I first got it, but tasted good. The person who made my drink also offered to sprinkle cinnamon on top of the iced chai, which was a nice touch. I was happy to get my caffeine in for the day and add another coffee shop option to my list.

Cozy-looking interior. I used another app to try this place for the first time at a discount. I got a surprise box (through the app) at a $27 value that I paid $10 for. My order was ready when I arrived. What I received was a sad sandwich, a large muffin, and a coffee (choice of regular or iced with a flavor) which seems to me regular price in this day and age for what I received; however, even at that price, I would not return based on this experience. I will give them another chance since I used the discount, but they will have to redeem this visit for me to ever return or recommend this place in the future. Fingers crossed.

Saturday, 9/07/2024 - drove by this business. The name "He Brews Coffee" caught my eyes. Address is 1540 Jefferson Blvd, West Sacramento, CA 95691. Cute little shop! The business is like a T. The cashier/order area is straight in front of you when you walk in thru the front door. Parking is limited. But when we arrived today, we had no problem. There is no charge on parking. My view on this cafe? Pros: 1) A cute little room to your left to hang out and relax. 2) they have snacks and goodies to buy to enjoy with your drinks. I also saw they have breakfast and lunch foods to order, too. But we didn't order any food. 3) they have stuff in the other room that looks like you can buy like t-shirts and stuff. 5) There are books you can read. 6) There are a few tables in the main area to sit and relax too. 7) 1 bathroom to the left and one to the right of the register area. The bathroom is for men or women and needs a code to get in. Clean. Cons 1) None! Conclusion The young man I talked to was very nice. He's the only one there working. So pls be patient when you're waiting for your orders. He says it's even busier during the weekdays and he works alone. That's great news. Means business is booming. I got a small Americano for $8.00 and 12oz Blueberry Lavander Lemonade drink for $5.00. Both are good. I thought this place was so cute. I'd go here again! Check it out if you're in the area.

My spot this morning. I love it!

I'm an author, and my friend is an artist. We are both supporting this new little coffee house. This company had a rough time marketing themselves so far. That said, this is a great place for West Sacramentans to walk to and get some really good coffee, while looking at all the local art. Bring your computer. Bring a book. If you don't have either, you can read the books they offer. It's also a great place to have an intellectual conversation or enjoy the international videos on their big screen TV. (I"m watching tropical fish right now.) The place is very different, but has all the basics. It's not like just going to another Starbucks. (At the time of my posting this, you get a free book when you buy anything--and the books are very interesting as is the art. An extra book costs only a dollar.). Mine originally cost $35 and is in new condition. It's within walking distance to many charming W. Sac neighborhoods. I strongly recommend you stopping by. They deserve your support and word of mouth. Do it, and they'll be here for years to come. :-)

Stopped into this new coffee shop out in West Sac. Not my usual neighborhood but that didn't stop me. Upon entering, it looked like a spacious coffee shop but looked a little cluttered due to all the artwork. The paintings are for sale I believe. Since they just opened, the menu is still developing. But the usual coffee drinks are there. Lattes, mochas, caps. I went with a single oat milk cappuccino with a sausage Denzel. There wasn't a menu for food so I had to ask. On the fly I got the Denzel sandwich because he said pesto and I was hooked from there. Options for bacon or sausage. There is an area to order but it felt a bit awkward because the menu was in the way, the kitchen/coffee making area was right behind the ordering area, people were crowding around the ordering area so it was a bit hard to figure out where the line was. I do appreciate the employee welcoming me in but the lineup was kinda all over the place with the various customers crowding about. I didn't know there was a case of morning pastries which is on the opposite side of where we order. My drink came out quickly and because it's a cappuccino, you can't really mess it up. Upon first sip, it was flavorful. Which I loved. Overtime though, the coffee became sour/acidic and I didn't end up finishing it. Since it is a cappuccino, normally they are served in smaller cups than an 8 oz to prevent that unexpected but expected spacing between the liquid & the top of the drink. Hopefully they will offer the smaller cups because it was a bit awkward trying to anticipate when is my coffee coming and if I should prep for a hot drink in my mouth. My sandwich came out later but still very quick. I didn't expect them to cut a small sandwich in half so, if I do come in next time, I'll have to let them know not to cut it. And maybe, they will have something more on their food menu. I also noticed there was a small area off to the side that feels like I stepped into someone's home. Had a homey feeling and great for those who want to stay to work or study. Overall, a pretty nice local coffee shop for the area. I think some kinks need to be worked out with the ordering and picking up. I do applaud the cashier for taking the initiative to bring out drinks for everyone that ordered but I think as it gets busier, they may need to come up with a solution for a general pickup area.

I work in West Sac and this spot showed up as a new Surprise Bag in the area in the Too Good To Go app. He Brews Coffee offers several "surprise bags" on Too Good To Go, here's what you could get: $5.99 "Rise & Shine Bag:" a specialty coffee, a muffin, a protein, and fruit. Pick up between 7:15-9:00 AM. $8.99 "Meal Surprise Bag:" a sandwich, salad, and/or other surprises! Prepared on the spot, where you may have to wait a few minutes. Pick up between 3:00-5:00 PM. $4.99 "Surprise Bag:" may contain baked goods and/or other surprises! Variety and specific items are not guaranteed, some items may need to be reheated. Pick up between 4:30-4:55 PM. I stopped in to claim my "Rise & Shine" bag (reserved the day before) closer to 9:00 AM. Usually, they have several available to reserve, unless sold out or nothing to claim that particular day. Got parking right in front, a few people ahead of me in line. The lady behind me also was doing Too Good To Go. Simple to "Collect" in the app, and verify the Order ID with the vendor. In my bag, I received a red velvet white chocolate chip muffin, a banana, Kirkland organic boiled eggs, and a small coffee. The total came out to $6.48 for all of the items. I might try them out again soon for their afternoon food items or end-of-day baked goodies!

I have been driving past this spot on my way to work and the freeway for the past month wanting to check it out. Today I finally did. I was warmly greeted by a gentleman. I noticed walking in that their hours posted on the door are Mon-Sun 7am-5pm. It is a nice little space in a lobby like area that has shared hallway with neighboring offices. There are a couple tables and it had a nice fireplace displayed on a screen to give it a cozy feel. I asked the worker what their most popular drink was and he recommended the white mocha. I ordered a large and also asked for some raspberry syrup in it. He had never done that before and had to check if they had some on hand. He did. It came out piping hot and pretty sweet. He told me he added 2 pumps of raspberry to it. I think next time I will just try it straight or get one small pump. A little bit goes a long way with that. They also had some pre-packaged pastries like coffee cake, lemon loaf, glazed donuts (unsure of source or brand). I got an old fashioned glazed donut. It was fine. My mocha and donut came out to be close to $12. I think under $10 would have been more reasonable, but they are growing and probably still figuring things out. I noticed they offer a soup of the day too. Today it was chicken enchilada soup...on their menu, they also seem to rotate zuppa toscana, tomato basil, and clam chowder. The parking lot was a little full and it is a bit sketchy. I had to park closer to the 7-11 which shares the lot and in front of a shut down laundrymat with a homeless man in front...I am guessing the cars directly in the front were customers or workers for the other neighboring businesses - bail bonds, etc. I really do hope this business grows and succeeds. Incorporating some breakfast items like sandwiches, burritos, might be a nice touch. It just opened a month and a half ago though, so will give it some time and try it again in the future! Give them a shot :)

Everything in this place rocks! The staff are super friendly and helpful and I just came from a bike ride from Walnut Grove... Coffee and food is super good! You can borrow books and read... lounges, rest rooms, outside seating area... I rode my bike thinking about their food but I already ate before I rode... maybe next time...

Really enjoy riding my bike over to this local coffee shop. I'm greeted with a warm smile and tasty cup 'o Joe. The place itself is quaint and while I would argue the seating to be "tight" it's still a welcoming environment. I would love to see some sort of bike security in the future.

Saw that this is a new coffee shop in the area and gave it a try since it was close to where I was staying in West sacramento. I appreciate it the homemade baked goods and the quality of the coffee. Today I had the caramel latte, which had great flavor and a medium strength of coffee. When I visit the area again, I definitely will come back.

Unfortunately, the service didn't match my expectations. After waiting in line, the woman at the register finished helping the customer ahead of me, then walked away without acknowledging me. I stood there for a bit until a young man noticed and kindly stepped in to take my order. I really appreciated his attentiveness and friendliness. While waiting for my two hibiscus lychee green teas, I noticed some confusion behind the counter. The employee preparing the drinks couldn't find the green tea and had to keep asking the same woman for help. She eventually took over, but the drinks didn't taste right. There was no green tea flavor, or lychee only hibiscus (I'm not saying she didn't add it, it didn't taste like it.) Honestly, the bigger issue for me was the lack of customer service. The previous location I used to visit always felt welcoming, so this was disappointing. A simple acknowledgment like "I'll be right with you" would have gone a long way. That said, I DO want to give credit to the employee who stepped in and helped me--he was polite and attentive. As for the woman with short hair, I hope she works on her customer service approach. I may come back to try the ice cream since I think it's Gunther's and that's always a safe tasty choice, but I likely won't be ordering the iced teas again. March 18,2026 @6:58ish pm
