Every so often you encounter great people who make your day better exactly when you need it. I placed a pickup order at this location and Mel was so sweet, accommodating and friendly. Also, my drinks were delicious. A lot of my Starbucks experiences aren't worth noting, but Mel truly deserves a 5-star review! Thank you.

The service was top notch. I was running errands on a Saturday and feeling like a needed a boost. I decided to stop in to pick up a quick decaf. This was the friendliest Starbucks I've ever been in. The staff welcomed you and asked all the right questions about what I wanted in my drink and in 2 minutes I was out the door. They even thanked me by name when I left. Their friendliness changed my mood in a positive way. (You know how it is after a long work week sometimes) When I got to the car, I tasted the coffee and it wasn't too hot or fresh tasting. I was going to leave and decided to go back in instead of tossing the coffee. They gladly made a fresh pot and gave me a fresh cup. The barista even brought the coffee to me at the table where I sat to wait. Give these folks a chance. They are trying hard -- at least when I was there on Saturday morning.

Milk?

I love Starbucks. Like - a lot. But unfortunately this location isn't the best I've ever visited. The espresso is extremely watered down, or not strong, or something. Because every drink I ordered was milk. And no matter how many shots of espresso I had them add to it, still tasted like straight milk. The location is great though and the outdoor seating is a huge plus. Service was friendly and happy to help me turn my milk into a coffee. To no avail, they still tried!

Here for an update!!! Boy oh boy, this location is totally improving....came last week with a co-worker and came back today to reorder a special drink they made. The Easter decorations are super cute and I appreciate seeing a store store....I'm impressed. Came back just to say :)

They have pretty experienced baristas here which makes me very happy! I've gone to a few other starbucks to order the drink below and a few baristas didn't get it quite right. They hit the nail on the head here! The drink i ordered "Can i get a grande iced brown sugar shaken espresso, can i get those shots blonde ristretto and updosed" and they made me the most delicious drink every. Used my name every time and were very quick! Great spot with a lot of comfortable seating and fast wi-fi to work or study.

No complaints. Tough competition to be right next to a coffee and bakery shop. Staff was friendly, drinks were good. Nothing much to add.

When, I am looking for my comfort drink, I always order my mango lychee frappes. It is full of fruit, delicious taste, and perfect for a summer day. The ambiance inside the shop is modern, wood style decor, with lots of seating and nice lighting. The only thing I don't like is trying to find parking in their lot. It is always crowded. But, the delicious sweets and yummy drinks make it worth the extra effort. Thank you, Chateau de Rockville.

The sweets selection wasn't huge, but there was a decent variety. I tried the blueberry cheese danish, which was pretty good, along with a couple of cookies. I'd say the quality is a step above Paris Baguette, which I wasn't expecting. The customer service was excellent, and the café itself appeared clean and well maintained. My only little observation was the front glass doors and they could definitely use a cleaning. And why do I ALWAYS notice the windows and doors at restaurants and cafés? Go figure! Apparently, clean glass is one of my things. Overall, a cute spot with good service, decent pastries, and a nice atmosphere for coffee, tea, or getting a little work done.

I tried their taro donut filled with custard and I enjoyed the fact that it wasn't very sweet at all. Also ordered tiramisu and an iced strawberry matcha. Service could be a tad bit quicker is one thing I would work on but other than that it was a very good experience. There's some seating available inside for people to do work or just hang out. It's honestly a good location so I'm hoping they get more consistent business with all the new changes.

Offerings range from a beef curry bun, croissants, Portuguese tarts, and artichoke spinach bread. My personal favorite was the peach cloud donut. A sugared brioche dough, fried and split open like a sandwich, stuffed with a marshmallowy whipped cream and perfectly ripe peach slices. In a word: divine. I went back more than once to have it again. The way you select your pastures is by grabbing a tray and personal set of tongs, going down the display line to select what you'd like. You then bring your selections to the register and can order coffee or tea at that time as well. There are non-pastry items you can order as well, including a bento box around lunch time and their signature cloud pancakes that take a while to make but come out looking incredibly airy. While you wouldn't necessarily make a whole trip to the area to seek out Teamania, if you're already in the area it's well worth your time.

It was slightly busy but the line moved fairly quickly. The restaurant has a good amount of seating and a lot of people dining in were simply enjoying their weekend. I also want to try their Virginia location since that recently opened as well. I'm also still waiting on their rainbow/chantilly filled croissant because it had to be the best pastry I've ever eaten. The Blackberry Pistachio Croissant was flaky and full of a sweet-tart house made blackberry compote and rich pistachio frangipane. For the hot tea, I got Island Mango just on the description - sweet bits of mango, pineapple, orange, safflower & hibiscus. It was served as decaf. Once I let it cool, it had a citrus taste, but not sweet. I am still glad to have tried it and did not have to wait long for the order. Within a block of leaving the business, while holding the hot cup with one hand (the sleeve only helped a little), some of the hot tea spilled on me suddenly (I now have a burned scar on my knuckle). I don't know if the cover was on right, or if my movements made the top come off. I couldn't blame anyone. I did go back and had them replace the top since the other fell on the ground outside. When they say "hot" tea, they are not lying. Moving forward, no more hot drinks for me.

I ordered the red bean donut and milk cream red bean bread. I enjoyed my treats, although I thought my bread had too much cream in it and had to scoop some out. I did like that the cream was light and airy. Hubby enjoyed his food as well, although he isn't a huge fan of onions, which were on the pizza baguette. For my colleagues, I ordered a small cappuccino, a slice of chocolate cloud cake, and a chocolate tart with blueberry to go. I asked if I could place the cappuccino order with the rest of my order but have it prepared in 5-10 minutes so it wouldn't get cold. Initially, the staff member taking my order said I should place the cappuccino order separately. I didn't want to do that since it would mean having to wait in line again. I didn't think my request was unreasonable, so I wasn't sure why there was some pushback. After a minute, she agreed to place the entire order together and gave me a buzzer to let me know when everything was ready for pickup. Unlike the Columbia location, this location doesn't have an open layout. However, I do prefer the exterior of this location because it's more eye-catching and attention-grabbing. I love TLJ and would definitely return for more of their tasty treats!
