We all love Starbucks but this one has real issues. There is ALWAYS a wait. I am not a frappe or latte drinker. Two days ago I waited in the drive through 26 minutes for a black coffee. Since I live in the neighborhood and this is the ONLY location I go but they must work on their customer service. I visited my first Starbucks in 2006 in Kuwait. I have been a fan ever since. I live in South Tampa and will say the Dale Mabry and West Gandy locations are in typical fantastic Starbucks fashion. I started a new job in Apollo Beach a few weeks ago, so finding this store I thought would be another awesome SB experience. This evening, I visited for the third time this week and will say this is my last visit. I can do the slower service but today I waited for a pout over. As I waited, I noticed the creamer/sugar counter needed to be cleaned, then an employee came over to change out the trash cans and he laid the new trash bags on the counter. Once he was done he walked away leaving the mess, took a picture. When I received my coffee, I sipped it to find that it was just warm. Starbucks - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Riverview, Florida

I often go to this Starbucks because it is closest to my home. The service is hit or miss probably because they seem to have new trainees here every time I am here. The long time (e.g., more than a year) employees are usually very friendly and accurately make my order. The problem is the trainees are often clueless especially when I redeem a reward and have to ask for advice from a more experienced employee. This tends to slow down the ordering process and results in overcharges. I often have to repeat my order several times because many of the barista trainees have short term memory issues which is sad because they are so young. Given the high customer traffic at this location I think Starbucks should not staff this store with so many trainees. I gave this location two stars mainly because of the good service provided by the few, and ever diminishing, experienced employees; if I were to base this on the trainees, I would give no stars. read more

I don't go to Starbucks often because it's so ridiculously expensive. This location is nice, clean, and the staff were friendly. There was a wait both inside and even longer at the drive thru. To be honest the wait wasnt as bad as it usually is at Starbucks. I am sure i will be at starbucks again every once in a while since i do enjoy their iced mocha frappachino but not regularly since i cant spend $4 on a coffee all the time. read more

Over the years this Starbucks has been hit or miss, but for the most part it's been great. The customer service has gotten better over time and they are always really nice in the drive thru. Sometimes they are a bit slow and the frappuccinos are a little watery. Other times I can go through the drive thru pretty quickly and my drink is good (I usually get a frappuccino or pink drink). It's definitely worth it to go here to get a special drink that they don't have anywhere else. read more

Everytime i come to this location, Staff are extremely rude. There is no courtesy. Its like a like a bar. the only sound I hear in this coffee shop are the employees constantly talking to each other. I placed my order online, paid, showed up to the store and the doors were locked with no one inside. I never recieved my coffee or a refund. It was almost an hour past the time they were supposed to open. I always do mobile orders at this store because I'm constantly waiting past the wait time even when I place the order before I leave my house. I won't be going to this starbucks again. Usually a long wait since it's the only location in the area. Service has always been polite and efficient but make sure they repeat your order back to you. I've received wrong orders a couple of times and unfortunately did not realize until I was down the street. read more

Out of most of the Starbucks I go to in the Brandon/Tampa area this is one of my favorites. EVERYTIME I come here the staff is very friendly. And they always get my drink right, especially when I order DECAF. This is very important to me because I cannot handle caffeine. So why drink it then, you say? Because, I love the taste of coffee! This is the most inefficient and just plain awful Starbucks I have ever been to. They've never gotten my order correct and all it is only an iced vanilla coffee with heavy cream. I went there once and I had to go back in the store THREE different times and I still left with a drink that didn't taste how it normally does from all other locations. While they focus on getting the cars through the drive-through in a timely manner, they lose focus on what a five dollar cup of coffee should be. I gave them two tries and I got quite possibly the two worst cups of coffee I've ever had. A call to the store with my frustration was met by a very young and sharpie voice telling me to come back and let them remake my cup of coffee. Doesn't that defeat the purpose? I go here 4-5 times a week at night and theres this young man that makes me come back, super nice and always gets my order right! I didn't give it 5 stars because when ever one of the girls takes my order they are rude and try to rush my order and end up getting it wrong. Go figure you would think the guys would be jerks but not at this Starbucks i say go ahead but be aware the drive-thru line does take some time during busy hours i would say between 5-10 minute wait the longest. read more

I go out of my way to avoid this location though because they are just so slow. 15 minutes from the moment I place my order in drive thru until I receive it is unacceptable. Today I brought my mother to this particular location for the 1/2 off Frappuccino They posted signs saying that they have a broken blender and are short staffed. So regardless of our wait that might be to come, we went in anyways. Speed of service was GREAT! They got the Frappuccinos (4 of them) within a few minutes.. Not realizing they cut all the Corners they could to get our order out. My mother and grandmother ordered light Carmel Frappuccinos And my father and I ordered the new Carmel waffle cone Frappuccinos When We enter the building weren't greeted or welcomed in and there wasn't a smile on anyone's face, they seemed stressed due to being short staffed. My mother found chucks of ice in her drink which was suppose to be blended And her Frappuccino and my grandmas both had waffle crumbles on top when that wasn't even what they ordered. Also to top it all off The store was dirty, and no one had a smile or a good attitude. When I brought it to someone's attention that my frappuccino was wrong (I ordered it with no coffee) He snatched the cup from me threw it away and proceeded to make me the new one.. My dad ordered that same Frappuccino And could have taken the mess up home instead of throwing it in the trash... Over all may main question is, As a store manager or a store owner... WHY weren't you there? WHY wasn't someone there to fix or replace the blender and help with the under staffed shift? Hmmm... Maybe we have a management problem with this store. Every time I have gone to this Starbucks I have nothing but great service today DJ took my order he was charismatic funny and just straight up awesome. He even tried to upsell with an extra shot him since he was so nice I almost took it but I don't like my coffee too strong so I turned it down. A couple weeks ago I ordered a tall and got a venti I told them it was wrong and they gave it to me free of charge. Another time I wanted a plain bagel and they ran out and I was able to chose something else that cost most. I feel like these people put the customer first every time. read more

Starbucks is a place that serves it's customer with a smile and does what the customer asks. If a drink is wrong they do not ask questions either they just replace it free of charge. Starbucks provides many different coffee beverages, smoothies and specialty beverages without coffee along with all day breakfast items and lite lunch or dinner sandwiches. This Starbucks has the worst service EVER they can never even get a simple order correct. I always get a vanilla iced coffee with classic and cream and they seemingly always mess it up. This is the 15th time they have screwed up my drink. But I always give them another chance. NOT ANYMORE. When you ask them to correct your drink they act like it kills them to fix something they screwed up. Today was the last straw!!! The cashier had her boyfriend at the counter talking to him she didn't even acknowledge me until He left!!! And then a trainee completely jacked up my drink. The drive thru takes an eternity to get through. When I got to the counter to pay, I noted how long I had been waiting (just for a tea!). The girl who was there said "it's happy hour, so it going to take a long time." Does the manager not know that it's happy hour? Can they bring in extra staff? I should note that it was last day of a month of every day happy hours, so they should be prepared by now. I usually get this attitude from anyone working at this location. MISTAKE STOPPING HERE! Never check reviews before stopping at a STARBUCKS...but I will now! Die hard Starbucks fans on vacation, stopped on a Sunday before noon. Should have realized that the flies and I mean a lot of flies inside (um can you say "dump") was a bad sign. One person in line who took forever to order her tall iced coffee. Ordering was easy - passion ice tea and a decaf iced with cream and pumpkin. Simple drinks. Tea came out in decent time...coffee try 10 minutes (mind you there was a drive thru, but two baristas running drinks). Didn't tell us they had no ice decaf and only because we were watching and overheard convo where they were like just make a latte...usually they sub decaf Americano in any other cafe...and they let you know. One person starts it after we correct them and then it sits while they go do other things...a second person picks it up and completes, not before squeezing caramel on top! We question what's on top and while she was nice, after we said we didn't order that way she said "do you want it with it?" - ah we just told you we didn't order it that way! Took another 5 minutes to get it right...meanwhile a father and daughter enter and loudly say "look no line for once!" Clearly there is an issue at this location. read more

I love Starbucks, but this location is bad. They messed up my drink and didn't even apologize. They fixed me new coffee- but it was very sloppy. Outside of airport Starbucks, this is the most inefficient Starbucks crew I have ever encountered. We were stuck using this location for four days during spring break. The crew is too busy talking to each other to focus on the morning rush. Line out the door and only one (slow) register open. While one crew member is greeting the customer, another interrupts him to ask for the pastry order (again) because he has already forgotten. Never mind me, I'm just trying to order a coffee . . . the two baristas moved like sloths and (worst of all) prepared me a latte vice the cappuccino I paid nearly $5 for. Only saving grace is the morning manager with the Starbucks tatoo on her ankle (now that's dedication)! She needs to pull the rest of the crew up to her standards or replace them. read more
