The Starbucks at the Ramsey train station is unfortunately one of the slowest and most inconsistent locations around. Every time I've been here, the service feels disorganized and slow. When you ask about your order, the answer is always, "We're making it," but it still takes much longer than expected. Most recently, I ordered two cold coffee drinks and egg bites. One drink and the egg bites were ready fairly quickly, but the second drink took an extra 10 minutes, well past the pickup time listed on the app. 20 minutes in total for my order. For a location right by a train station, this kind of delay is especially frustrating. Also, my shaken espresso was the worst I have ever had. I could not drink it it was so awful. I could not ask for it to be remade as I was on a schedule. I truly do not understand the inconsistency among different Starbucks. If you're in a hurry or on a schedule, I'd recommend skipping this Starbucks - it's just not reliable for quick service or consistency. read more

Hello, Yesterday i had THE WORST store experience thanks to an employee with the name of Jay. I placed my mobile order at 11:02am the app said it would take max (6mins to be ready) I walked in at 11:10 am (expecting my coffee to be ready) tell me why I walked out of the store at 11:35 am? At around 11:20ish I approached Jay who was working behind the counter making the coffees and asked about my mobile order because I had been waiting for a while patiently and continue to see people who would order at the counter would get their coffees before me .... He proceeded to ignore me, until another employee approached Jay and turns out the sticker with my order on it, he just had it placed on the side and continued to ignore it. This really nice employee tells Jay to make my drink STAT, Jay continued to take his time and when finally my drink is ready he calls my name i said to him while were looking at each other eye to eye "thank you can I please have a straw?" and Jay ignored me once again. He turned his back from me and walked away, started talking to another employee. Theres no excuse he didnt hear me because the girl at the drive thru heard me ask for a straw she had to yell at Jay to get me a straw. What does that say about Jay? I've never had a bad experience with the team members at this store but it took one person to leave a bad taste in my mouth and add a bad google and yelp review (which i've never done in my life). Every starbucks I've ever been too employees have been nothing but kind, coffee and pastries are great and team members are actively listening. All i beg is that there's some type of action with this employee and hopefully i dont have to encounter this experience at my local starbucks again. read more

This is a standard Starbucks. On the plus side, it is clean, modern, and has nice lighting. My concern with this establishment, however, has less to do with the environment and more so with one of the staff member. I waited for at least 2 minutes before anybody greeted me or gave any indication that they would serve me. At the time, I was the only one in line and the other patrons around me are all settled down because they have already been served. We ordered the Triple Mocha Frappuccino which is enveloped between layers of whipped cream that's infused with cold brew, white chocolate mocha and dark caramel. Starbucks in my Life: Part 3 of 5. I loved this Starbucks! Something about it's location next to the train station and the quaintness of the town itself is likely what won over my (then) 16 year-old heart. My sister had worked here some years before I became part of the Starbucks family, and even then I remember how friendly and smart the staff was. This was the store where we actually had store BBQs (not in the store, of course) and other social events that kind of fostered this sense of community. In general, this location was a magnet for good people: one of the previous store managaers, Bob, who later went on to manage one of the Ft. Lee stores was extremely kind and funny. He's the sort of person I wish I had stayed in touch with after I moved to CA. Starbucks isn't all evil, and this store reminds me of that. Just don't try to make a left-hand turn into the parking lot off of Main Street or you'll be seeing flashing lights in your rearview. read more

The location is clean and the staff is friendly but don't come here thinking you are going to be able to hand and do work or read, because there are barely any seats of table space, they are normally all taken. I just got the sloppiest drink ever at a Starbucks. I realize they can get busy during the Farmers' Market, but when I was there it was quiet. The girls at the register were great, but on the other end, the drink I got was served in an overflowing, messy cup, slapped down on an already dirty counter. I had a coupon for a free cup of coffee at Starbucks. OK, I'll go for free--the one in Ramsey is close to where I'm going (Shop Rite). I take my coffee black with sugar or artificial sweetener. The Starbuck coffe was the most bitter coffee I've ever tasted. It's probably why they put all kinds of cream and sugar and chocolate, etc. After a few sips, I threw the rest away.
