Alex on the other hand is the reason for this review. We ordered one coffee black and the other with cream on the side. When I opened the cup and saw how much room was left in the cup I assumed that was the one with the room for cream. When my partner opened her cup there was cream in hers so she went back up to see if she could get a black one like she ordered. He was very rude saying he didn't take the order and was just trying to see what the problem was and I'll remake it angrily. When my partner thanked him as he handed her the new cup he gave her a dirty look and just turned around and walked away. Maybe he's having a bad morning but it wasn't a good first impression sadly because the place is so cute and we really liked the selection.

Highly recommend them; coffee is expensive to begin with no one wants to pay for bad coffee. I go to the one at 6700 North Davis Hwy. My baby peanut is also a fan of their pup cup. And they are pet-friendly; no one wants to leave their beloved pet in the car in this heat. I live an hour away, and every time I go to Pensacola, which is a lot, this is my first stop

Couches, chairs, furniture that are super comfortable, some perfect to use your laptop in. Yay!!! They have it all. A giant table for a group or meeting with a long bench on one side. While I was there, two super cute top gun lookin dudes came up & was like "hey can we join you?" Why yes! YES! Please do. And they did. OuiOui. (Swoon) There are also some cute, smaller seating arrangements, one has a big coffee table with a drawer full of games & coloring books for the kids. Then, there are some really cool mod high tops by the windows so you can people watch. It was a monsoon while I was there, I was nice & dry inside & the lady that works there made me the most beautiful, perfect cappuccino I have had maybe, ever. It was also nice seeing them interact with their regulars--it definitely feels like a neighborhood coffee shop with a loyal following. I ordered the Poe Iced along with a slice of the carrot coffee cake. The coffee cake was outstanding--rich, moist, with fantastic icing, and tasted like a quality homemade dessert. The Poe Iced was good, but it wasn't quite as complex or memorable as I expected from a coffee house with such a strong reputation. In hindsight, I probably should have tried one of their seasonal specialties instead of sticking with a classic drink. My only real complaint is the drive-thru, which was a bit awkward to get into, so I ended up parking and walking inside. Thankfully, the welcoming atmosphere more than made up for that inconvenience. Will I be back? Absolutely. One thing I've learned about independent coffee shops is that they're always worth a second visit. Sometimes it takes trying a different drink to really appreciate what makes them special. While Drowsy Poet didn't quite blow me away on my first visit like a few other coffee houses have, it's still a very good café and easily a step above the typical chain options like Starbucks, Dutch Bros, or 7 Brew.
