What a pleasant Starbucks. This one is quite roomy if you wish to stay a while and the shape lends itself too more privacy. Right now, they are in all seasonal decor as well as having specialty drinks for both wicked (which was just released in the movie theater) and their holiday beverages. The staff were extremely pleasant and really seemed to enjoy being there together. Our drinks came out quickly and it was really one of the most soothing Starbucks experiences I've ever had. In and out with maximum efficiency! It's what a good Starbucks should be. The service was relatively quick, and the interior was clean and spacious. What more would you expect? My kid ordered a mocha frappuccino, which was delicious and tasted like melted ice cream, and I got an iced chai, which was good though a tad sweet for my liking. Next time, I might use the app to request only one or two pumps of chai flavoring. read more

It is ridiculous to have to wait in a drive thru for over 30 minutes. You'd think okay there are a lot of cars but when there are only about 5 cars ahead of you from when you get into line to when you get your drink that is beyond ridiculous. I don't usually post about bad experiences but this one was purely about attitude. I went to the drive thru to place my order and mentioned it was my birthday. (No "Happy Birthday") The gentleman said I would get a free drink. I drove up and asked what he needed as proof and he said the app would tell him. He scanned it and said "No sorry. It's not there." I showed him the app and that my birthday was clear as day on my profile. His response "I guess someone used it." Again, no Happy Birthday or "I will comp you this beverage anyway". He deducted it and didn't even say "Have a great day!" I just think that going above and beyond with graciousness would have been appreciated. Everyone has bad days but this was just rude. read more

This Starbucks location had a huge drive-thru line so I went inside instead. There was no line inside so we were helped immediately. The staff didn't seem very friendly/welcoming but it was BUSY. I'm sure it's stressful when the line gets backed up like that. However, they all seemed calm behind the counter. Shocked by how a Starbucks in such a bustling area can be run so poorly. Came here around 7:15 pm, to grab a coffee and wrap up some work emails after dinner nearby and was met with instant hostility and moodiness by the employees. When asked to wipe down a table, one employee remarked "are you serious?" which my sister and I had to do a double check if see if our minds did not deceive us. The person that took our order was equally as unwelcoming, talking in a monotone voice that sounded like she was dying to leave her post. Our chestnut praline lattes were not even filled to the brim of the cup, and didn't have the topping you look for when ordering this festive drink. While this location seems like it would be a good place to work, you really have to just bite your tongue and hope that management recognizes this problem. Oh, and to top off our experience, 10 minutes before close, rather than let us know this location will be closing soon, they physically shut off the lights in the entire store. All of the people sitting at tables looked at each other appalled and confused. Worst customer service I ever received for an overpriced, poorly made cup of coffee. read more

What a smooth transaction. Stopped by this morning on my way to a client visit. I usually stop by the one north on 17 in Mahwah, but I was headed in this direction. I used the app to place my order, Trenta Iced Coffee with 2 shots of espresso, and one pump of liquid sugar, and an everything bagel toasted, no spread. I placed the order through the app, 5 minutes before my arrival to the drive thru, I gave them my name, pulled up, received my nectar of the gods and was on my way. Nice Starbucks location. The interior decor is very clean and new. Tons of tables, benches and wooden tables for doing work and this location is NOT crowded. You won't have to worry about finding space or being bothered by noise. This would've been a gold find back when I was still in school. Also has a drive-through which is always convenient. Drive-thru efficiently labels drinks with printed labels so there's no confusion as to what drink is what if you're picking up a large order. 3.) Thoughtfully place those green stick things in the mouthpiece when I order to-go or drive-thru so hot coffee isn't spilling all over my car. 3.) Ample seating 4.) Most ample parking of the Starbucks in the area. Why only four stars? The staff isn't always consistently friendly or accommodating. Also, they seem to run out of food items frequently but I guess it's a busy location. There is probably enough room to be spread out enough to have 3 customers inside on a cold day like today. Might not be the best logic to have a table for pick up right in front of the door as there is definitely enough space to keep distance from multiple customers. Back in the normal times, Starbucks would be the go to place to sit and do work or study. It offers pleasing a atmosphere between its decor, relaxing music, and the smell of coffee. Those that had the right Starbucks reward level would even be allowed to get free refills on their coffee or tea. This location gets a higher score in my book than the average Starbucks for two reasons. The first is that it has more seats than normally expected, and those seats get a lot of light from the large windows. The second is that being on a highway, the afterschool crowd of raucous kids charging $10 fraps onto their parent's credit card it lower than normal. The only small thing I wish that they'd do better is to wipe down the tables more often; they're usually sticky or littered with crumbs. read more

I love this Starbucks because its a drive thru and on my way to work. The location itself is really nice inside with plenty of seating. The baristas are always really friendly and helpful. I thought it was pretty cool that I can see the barista on the screen of the drive thru as you are providing them with your order. Some of my favorite items that they have are the pumpkin sugar cookies and a java chip frappachino (tastes like a milkshake). What I don't like is that every morning I can't stop here because the line for the drive thru flows onto Rt 17 and would cause me to be late. Also they should look into more parking spaces, the last 2 times I've been here there wasn't a space left in the lot and had to park next door at Moes, who I'm pretty sure didn't really like that I did that but hey girls gotta get here coffee fix am I rite? read more

This location is somewhat hidden and dangerous. It creeps up fast on you on 17 South so be on the lookout to avoid getting rear-ended. Drive-thru, but no outdoor seating. Super annoying, obnoxious, and immature staff when I was there, which would have made for a very difficult reading or studying experience, had that been the purpose of my visit. read more

The girl at the register rolled her eyes the second we walked in and made us fee extremely rushed. She kept telling us the total before we were finished giving our order. My favorite Starbucks out of a dozen or spots within a 3 mile area from here ? Not necessarily because of the drive thru ( I rarely even use it ) but because of the staff and it's a very comfortable place to chill for an hour. Best seating arrangement among all of the Starbucks locations I've been to. Came here to study over the past weekend as it's crunch time for finals, and despite it being crowded, there's always a spot to sit or a spot that opens up within a minute, and there's always an outlet nearby. This is a great place to study in town. Clean facilities overall. Quick service even when there's a long line. Though make sure you bundle up in warm layers as there's always cold air that comes in from the two doorways. read more

This store seems to get the newbies in the area for training. This is the third time I've been at this location and in all three times they make mistakes. From type of tea ordered, they don't seem ever to understand the difference from lattes and plain tea, to making/preparing a warm sandwich. I would understand if they were slamming busy, but only 4or five people behind me. I come to this location for the comphy seats and that its larger than the one near my house. Ever since this Starbucks location became a drive-thru I have frequented this place more often as my mrng ritual on my way to work. Unfortunately, no matter how many times I ask for non-fat, they always give me whole milk in my drinks. Also, one time I asked for a cappachino (I understand there is foam in it) and by the time I got to work half my drink was gone and I didn't even take one sip of it. 50% foam is too much foam. Now for my good review. Usually the kids who work at the drive-thru window (I say kids bc they look so young!) are very pleasant and seem cheery. This mrng I had a particular young man who was so pleasant and actually talked to me as I was waiting for my order. Being a native New Jersian, I was completely taken off guard by the pleasantries. Intro: Unlike other reviews, I was not here for the drive-thru, which I'm sure is amazing as the cars parked on route 17 waiting to make a right suggest. I enjoyed the place nonetheless. I was looking for a place to study while my sister took an exam at the nearby Prometric in Fair Lawn. Pro: This location is quite spacious and the arrangement wasn't crowded at all. In fact, it can actually use more tables and chairs. Even with that said, there were plenty of places to sit despite there already being close to 30 people at the time. There were plenty of outlets. As far as service, the staff was efficient and though a bit too busy to smile, they weren't at all rude. As far as everything else, it's Starbucks. They might sell coffee. Con: The supposed off-white lounge chairs have come to appear a bit too brown for the medical professional in me. I completely understand how time and dirty butts have contributed to the change in hue. However, I think it may be time for either new furniture or free hand-sanitizers with each chair. This is a good starbucks. The place is very clean, and the Baristas are always friendly. I wish they were faster at the drive through though especially in the morning. The line out of the lot and onto 17, so I rarely stop for a morning cup of joe. I don't ask for much when I visit a Starbucks, all I'm looking for is a friendly face and a drink made half way correct, unfortunately neither one of my wishes was granted during my visit today. I ordered a grande iced passion tea, unsweetened with no water and the person at the register seemed to understand the order, apparently this info didn't make it to the nasty woman who was preparing the beverage. Half way through making it she added water to the drink and I commented about it, she read the cup and said in a nasty tone "That's not what the cup says!" And emptied it into the sink, she then slammed the cup onto the water spout for cleaning with enough force to splash me slightly with the water. She then proceeded to remake it and served it with attitude, saying "iced passion tea for the second time" Really unprofessional. I'm definitely skipping this Starbucks in the future, find a different one where they don't serve attitude alongside their beverages. read more

This used to be my families go to Starbucks for YEARS since I was in high school. As the years have gone by the staff has gotten progressively worse. Closing HOURS early before they are supposed to and refusing to make certain drinks. This has happened multiple times!!!! They blame that they are "under staffed" and are unable to make certain drinks. This is unacceptable. I will not be going to this Starbucks any longer. I will gladly drive 30 minutes to another. A tall, non-fat version (with no whipped cream but with the bitter chocolate drizzle and of course the toasted coconut flakes) will run you 210 calories. FALL: Pumpkin Spice Latte. It is officially autumn when this drink makes it's appearance. Espresso blended with the spices of cinnamon, nutmeg & clove. It just warms me inside and I'm ready to go pumpkin picking! A non-fat with no whipped cream is only 200 calories, 0 grams of fat. WINTER/HOLIDAY: Caramel Creme Brulee. My all time favorite and also the most calories, but wtf It's Christmas Time!! Espresso flavored with a buttery, caramel brulee sauce and topped with burned sugar caramel brulee flakes!! If you love Caramel Macchiato's.....this is his smoking hot cousin. A non-fat with no whipped cream is 320 calories. In addition, this Starbuck's on Route 17, South of Midland Avenue in Paramus, is one of the best Starbuck's around. The baristas make consistently good drinks. They also have one of the largest indoor seating areas with tons of comfy chairs. Bathrooms are very nice too. Finally they updated the true location on the Map. This is one of my favorite starbucks locations in the area. Not only does it have a drive through. Not only is tax (read that drinks are ...) cheaper in New Jersey but it is close to several shopping malls to cure / curb ones appetite. The Number One Reason why I enjoy this place is because of the ample parking lot that is free (I know in New Jersey that isn't too much of a benefit but coming from NYC it is nice to not be mindful of a meter when it is about to expire). The WiFi is relatively strong inside and there are plenty of outlets that are adjacent to sitting areas (such a novel concept). It can get a little chilly inside so bring a sweater not matter what the weather is outside. read more
