After paying at the first window I drove to the second window where a gentleman handed me my sweet tea and asked me to park in one of the drive thru pick up spots. I teasingly said, "What, my burger's not ready?" Without missing a beat he replied," it's on the grill, I make it fresh for you" I smiled, thanked him and did as I was told. Sure enough, by the time I parked my food arrived. The burger was fresh and hot as promised, as we're the fries. Yes, I enjoyed them both before I made it home.

Located in the old MCM building that formerly was the home of the old Tastee Freeze, it already started out with a fun atmosphere. And the owners did a nice job of making it even more welcoming. I even enjoyed the barstool, which looked to be about 75 lbs but actually was more like 10. As my Corgi body got up, that thing shot out from underneath me like a butt mounted, spring loaded rocket and took off across the dining room. Many nice people asked if I was OK, and I assured them that I was only dealing with the pain of embarrassment. I like to think that my exploits entertain the masses :) As for the coffee, it was excellent. Much better than the overheated fare at Charbux. The pastries were fresh, tasty, and some of the best I've ever had at a coffeehouse. The young baristas that work there are very nice, which is refreshing. The owner popped in while we were there and it's obvious he's detail oriented. Expect a line, but know that it's worth it.

The barista was very nice and I purchased an iced oat milk latte with a sugar-free syrup. It was good and no bitter aftertaste that comes with some sugar-free syrups. They had some snacks available and also some bakery items but I did not see any gluten-free choices. I sat for a little bit at one of the high top tables to read and then went upstairs to the library. You can peruse the books in the library as long as you have a lid on the beverage is what the librarian had said. I'm sure that the people that work at the library are happy to have this new coffee shop and as well as the patrons.
