No complaints with this Starbucks location. Larger location with plenty of windows letting natural light in. Decent decor. Plenty of seating. High top tables by the windows. Bench seating along the walls. Large communal table in the middle of the room. Working bathroom. Strong working wifi. Outlets to charge up. Friendly baristas here late on a Wednesday afternoon. Pretty empty and I got some work done on my computer listening to holiday music playing on a low volume in the background. read more

Unbelievably rude staff who screamed with laughter when I asked for the bathroom code before making a purchase, and then when I did buy something, I found a bathroom with no toilet paper or toilet covers, strewn with piss and dirt. They kept on laughing and joking about it as I collected my order. On a weekday afternoon, the place is not overly crowded. The services is very good. Further, the layout-arrangement is quite impressive compared to other Starbucks locations I've seen. It's a great place to grab a quick bite and some coffee. Truly a great waiting spot, convenient in this TriBeCa zones. NYLS is just across the street too. I have the standard Ham and Swiss Panini and the promotional Dragon Drink. Again, the space/lack of crowdedness is a real plus. I can be here for the next 4-5 hours without any problems. However, I highly urge the management to install a lot more power outlets. Not only is this an obvious necessity for, dare I say, all customers that dine in, the trend is quite clear where all these customers aggregate at the booth/outlets accessible spots. Why not just invest a bit more and expand such necessity to more sitting areas, i.e. the long bar tables/stools? Adding that, aka keeping up with the trend, would definitely make this specific Starbucks location a comfy atmosphere with its very own trade dress--in oppose to that of the general Starbucks trade dress--vibe. read more

The young lady at the register always has great customer service but today one of the baristas was very rude. Young person (not sure if male or female) with septum, bandana and curly hair was very rude, he slid my drinks so hard they almost fell. He definitely needs a refresher course on customer service. read more

This is a cool quiet location. It's in Tribeca. I was there on a Sunday so it was especially low key. This is the perfect place to read or meet a friend. It's like a hidden gem The lighting fixtures are stylish and the staff was kind. I came in about 9am and did a pickup order through the app. Everything was ready within 3 minutes. Top of the line Bux. Great Bux to work from "home" at or just grab a drink. A great Bux shakes the iced tea, and this one does. Their communal tables are fun and classy, as is their TriBeCa location. You can sit at the bar and make a friend with the barista. Or not, bc they're busy working for a living while you're wasting your life at Bux! What really distinguishes this as 5 stars, are the benches outside to enjoy your beverage while absorbing the West Broadway atmosphere. read more

This Starbucks is a great spot to come and get some work done. There are plenty of tables and booths to sit down. There are also two benches out front if you just want to sit and enjoy your coffee as well. Not as many tourists in this spot more of a neighborhood regular location. Staff is pretty friendly. This is as good of a starbucks as any. The decorations are really well put together, eg display and chalkboard writing. There's a decent number of seats too. What I really like though is the service. The baristas are pretty nice and I've never had to wait too long for a drink. Neither are the drinks watered down, like it sometimes seems to be. I guess really, all the little things you kind of take for granted, that then are noticeable when absent, are not absent here. And that's what makes this starbucks so good. read more

This Starbucks is located in front of the school I attended. Since I'm done with my program, I would not be coming here anymore, phew! Nice to see it's a good emergency stop for students who need to stay awake during lectures *=) The line moves too slow here. Speed-up a bit if it gets too busy. Starbucks always seem to conquer a corner store, same here. There's not a lot of food selections at this location, mostly sweets. No cold sandwiches displayed anywhere, I don't see any. The hot sandwiches is hidden in a hot drawer? If you happen to drive by and want to get a cup of coffee, parking might be trouble! So don't sweat, go straight to the next Starbucks. read more

Pros: they remember your name; they are super friendly towards customers; they have only made a mistake once with my order but I turned out liking what they made me much more than what I asked for (even though it was $3 extra) Cons: the line wraps around quite quickly in this location and it seems they have trouble managing it; I witnessed some staff drama that could have been taken care of in the back, not in front of customers; tables in the back are often sticky and don't seem to be wiped down often; at busy times (8-9, 1-2) it will take 15-20 minutes to receive my order even when I ask for something simple Overall, this is a good Starbucks if you work or attend class in the area. Even though I like studying in public places, I wouldn't study here because as mentioned, the tables don't seem to be wiped down as often as it should. It also gets pretty crowded so I'd most likely find somewhere else to go and read. Folks, it's Starbucks.. I'm not sure how I should start this review, let alone say anything of value that hasn't already been said but here it goes... First, it's right by the Franklin 1 station, so if you're ever in the neighborhood and need that quick dopio fix, this is your place to get it. Second, they have a clover machine! Yep, it's here. Come and get it. Just don't ask me what it is, though, because I'm not quite sure myself! I think it's some sort of drip coffee? Suppose to be "smooth," they say. No clue, I haven't personally tried it (too pricey for my simple tastes) but let me know if you do, and tell me all about it! Third, I'm totally in love with their grilled cheese sandwiches. I always ask for some ketchup and Sriracha on the side, and I'm not going to lie to you, it's pretty wonderful. Fourth, they've got pretty good seating. It can get crowded, but the layout is practical. Seating on one side, bar on the other. No complaints on my end. Fifth, I think the staff here are just so super. Every single one of them. They're all so friendly and accommodating, it brightens up the atmosphere, especially in the morning before I've fulfilled my desperate need for that good ol' cup of Joe. And lastly, this location is really great, in that, they always ask if you want your ice coffee sweetened, and don't charge you extra for it. I was at a different location, and I asked for it to be sweetened (having gotten used to being spoiled here) and they charged me an extra .50 cents for it! read more

The best time to go is about 10-11 AM, because it across from New York Law School and when classes are changing, these smart kids come across to talk and drink - not an issue with me - I like being around smart kids, it makes me look smart! I had some CLE classes in the NYLS building across the street, and I needed caffeine or else I was going to die. Yay for the Starbucks literally across the street. I'm starting to think Starbucks follows lawyers around, because it knows we need liquid crack every 2 hours. I ordered a grande mocha latte (hot) and got a grande mocha frappe (cold). I thought this was a great Starbucks! The inside is really nice, a little different than the regular Starbucks look. It was a little busy when I went in, but the staff was friendly and efficient, and had us moving through quite quickly. I ordered the egg white wrap which I haven't ordered in years because it is never cooked all the way through, and these guys made it steamy throughout. They also nailed my drink, it was delicious. Also, bathroom is clean! There was plenty of seating inside, so I was able to sit down and take a break before I had to walk again to deliver some photos. Love this Starbucks! read more

I happened by this Starbucks on the first day it was open to the public... I knew one of the baristas from the store near my office, so I got a familiar face and a friendly hello when I walked in the store. The place has a fresh, clean look, not quite like any other 'bucks in the city, but still has all the familiar amenities - free wifi, bathrooms, the milk/sugar station - and the same menu that we've come to know and love/hate at every other starbucks. One thing that's REALLY special about this location is the CLOVER MACHINE! *drool* The Clover basically produces a reverse pressed individual cup of coffee - fresh ground and hand stirred when you order it. Travis the barista (and coffee master in training) was kind enough to take the time to explain ALL about the Clover machine, and discuss coffee flavors, brews, and methods of preparation... oh, and it was a DAMN delicious cup of coffee. mmmm. (Travis even gave me an espresso cup filled with regular drip coffee so I could "taste test" the difference!) Overall, an awesome starbucks - here's hoping it gets its goove going and stays as cool as it was on opening day :) read more

Good clean location and has a lot of seating. (It's a Starbucks so I'm not going to go into a lot of detail about what that means.) It's consistently busy during the week as a morning and afternoon coffee spot, but fairly chill and a good place to work/study on the weekends. read more

In comparison to the Starbucks on 6th, I'd say the service here is quicker. There's also not much of a difference between morning speed and afternoon speed, they're pretty consistent with wait times. I think the cashiers here are a little more unique, they have more characters working here than at the other location. I think I just come in at a bad time because the rest of the reviews seem great. I'm at the location later in the evening and the service tends to be soooooooo slow. There have been times that I've waited 15 minutes for a drink with only 7-8 people in the store. You will see workers just standing around watching the one person that is actually working for the day. Most of the workers are usually nice. You get some on a bad day, like anywhere. The place is clean, there's usually somewhere to sit (and even plug your computer in!) and the staff for the most part has its act together. It's the other customers that keep it from getting 5 stars. The neighborhood is an interesting mix of law students who LIVE on this stuff and congregate by the espresso machine and gossip, tourists who got lost on their way to the World Trade Center and take forever to order going "em, em, em, cafe? yes?", and people with way too much money and time on their hands who feel entitled to treat people in the service industry like absolute trash. I saw a woman in front of me make the cashier throw the cup out as he was writing her name on it, lecture him about the right way to hold a cup, and make him do it over. And it's not like he was putting his hands all over the rim of the cup and getting it dirty. She just didn't like the spirit animal he was channeling or something. They also ask ridiculous questions like what part of Kenya the Kenyan roast comes from, and make ridiculous requests like a Cafe Vienese with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. It's a running joke with my friends. "Let me get a tall iced coffee, a branzino, and some costume jewelry. Thanks." There are so many coffee places around there that will indulge your pretension, don't ruin a perfectly respectable chain place with this nonsense. read more

Plus, I'm annoyed that they didn't have the Double Chocolately Chip frappucino I like (I think that's all of the Starbucks stores, not just this one though). This is one of the busiest Starbucks in the city, and the customer service isn't helping to combat the lines. I only go to this location because it's conveniently across the street from my school. Yet no matter what time of day I go, the lines are long, and the baristas don't know how to deal with it. Yesterday I waited as the barista served his friend first even though there were several other people still waiting for their drinks. It's also common for customers to have to ask the barista to fix their orders, which goes to prove that orders are continuously messed up. While there's nothing wrong with the standard Starbucks food and drink here, be prepared to spend at least 10-15 minutes waiting for your order to be ready. That is the norm, not the exception. read more
