This early and on a weekend, it was pretty quiet inside with only a couple of customers coming and going during the two hours I charged my electronics and sipped at a coffee. Unfriendly baristas. I tried to make conversation with the females, and they claim up. I overheard one telling a male barista, "He looks creepy. Can you give him his coffee?" I sell my soul to lose the weight and be attractive. Unless God will do it for me. I had rather burn in the lake of fire looking good, than go to heaven like I am today. The prices are sky high. The coffee tastes like mud. Did they change their ingredients? Starbucks used to have the best coffee. They used to have comfy plush places to sit and books to read. Would give zero stars if I could. 27 minutes in the drive through with 3-4 cars in the parking lot at any given time. Barista at the window almost forgot our 3rd item. I'm not one to leave reviews but this isn't the first time something like this has happened. Been going since moving to New Bern in 23' and have had maybe two or three average experiences and one great one. Everything else has been slow , inaccurate, or both. Baristas don't care about customer service and it shows. Would love to see it turn around but unlikely at this point. Save your time and go elsewhere. read more

This location could stand to learn a little about customer service. Once inside, I couldn't get anyone's attention to even place an order. All focus was on the drive-thru and otherwise chatting behind the counter. A couple of minutes later, I was finally noticed (only because one of the drive-thru crew took notice and said something out loud), I placed my order, and provided my name. Once my order was ready, no one bothered to call out my name. I waited another 15 minutes for a mocha while it sat on the counter getting cold. Not a good Starbucks experience. read more

It's Christmas morning and boy were we hungry. We thought all hope was lost finding food on the go to visit family. Turns out Starbucks was open! After visiting my grandparents and saying good morning we turned around and rushed to Starbucks. Sammie was taking orders at the drive through, we ordered a Mocha Cookie Frap, Apple Crisp Macchiato, and two Bacon Gouda Sandwiches (all delicious). Sammie was patient with me while figuring out my order and helped me find substitutes for things they were out of. She was bubbly and helped us come up with a delicious breakfast. Drive through is great. The one time I decided the line was too long and needed to head inside. I realized they could give too hoots about the people standing in line. They only care about the drive through. Holy waste of time. Drive through only from now on. Lesson learned. With only one person in line in front of me who got a coffee only, I have been in here over 15 minutes. This is your typical new Starbucks. It is quite spacious with 6 easy chairs, a long table with chairs, and several small round tables good for one or two people. There are tables outside with umbrellas, too. A nice place to work. There is a drive thru. In case there is any confusion--this is a different Starbucks than the one in Target. Friendly staff, clean bathrooms, cozy seating area, my Joe is made in a timely manner, well made coffee, can't speak for the other concoctions, but I go to a coffee shop for consistent coffee and corporate stores like this one keep it the same every visit. I am not a frequent customer of Starbucks with all of the awesome coffee shops in my town, but every time I come into this Starbucks, I am pleasantly surprised. The staff are incredibly friendly and they always help me find a drink to suit my mood. I'm pretty unfamiliar with fancy coffee drinks, so it's always nice to have an experienced hand to guide me to something I'm going to like. In my experience, the drive-thru of this location is always slammed with cars wrapping all the way around the building. The inside, however is always quiet, with a few people talking and a couple of people sitting quietly on their laptops. Unfortunately the service can be a little slow as the employees have to tend to the drive-thru. They are human though, and I don't expect them to drop everything to cater to me. They are always quick to apologize if the wait has been too long. Overall, I really like this place. The friendly staff and nice atmosphere outweigh the cons of having to wait a little longer for my drink, and it certainly beats having to go into Target or Harris Teeter to get my StarBucks fix. I'm super irritated with Starbucks. Every Christmas, my favorite drink comes out. And every year, like e wry other time it's wrong. I order the caramel brûlée Frappuccino, and I like the topping layered through my drink. And NO whipped cream. Saturday, my coffee has that chestnut crap all in it and I had to dump it out bc it was like wet sand. And then today, I told her like 3 times no whipped cream and they blended the topping into the drink. Needless to say, it was nasty. I called and they said they would redo my drink, but, why not get it together and just do it right. There's one girl, Lexy. She does a great job on it every time. This has to be the worst Starbucks I've ever been to. Some of the staff is nice, which is why they get two stars. Most of the staff is very rude though. For example, today I ordered a venti iced coffee with cream and sugar, like I usually do, and it comes out with no cream. I nicely say, I asked for cream. And she rudely responds, we don't do that for you, the cream is over there. I corrected her by stating I have never ordered an iced coffee from any Starbucks and the cream hadn't been added. She never really apologized. After standing there for 3-5 minutes waiting on my food, she finally decides to add my cream. The coffee is good here and there. I have been here 10 times since they opened. The staff is always very nice which makes me want to return. I normally only get a caramel macchiato with one extra shot. It is always delicious. The location is clean and they have free wifi to do your homework or read. I have been known to sit in my truck and watch Bob's Burgers on Netflix using their free wifi and drive through the drive thru multiple times in a couple hours. read more

While the quality of the service and drinks are as good as any Starbucks I've been to, the place itself is incredibly dirty. The floors need to be swept and the past couple times I've been, there have been flys flying everywhere around the leather seats. If it was cleaned, I would give 5 stars. read more
