Fast, efficient and friendly service. Clean. Lots of parking. And an area dedicated to kindness and expressing thanks. What's not to love? Well, done! Located in the strip mall, its a convenient location after a stop at the Milwaukee Farmers market or when I'm heading down 224 since there is easy on and off access. Plenty of tables and chairs outside, which is always my preference.

Around here, STARBUCKS are few and far between! This one, like most, can and does regularly get super backed up. They take everyone's order so no one is waiting in line to have their order taken BUT it's OK to make them wait for the actual order. Its genius on their part. Get the money. Then who cares! "We're doing the best we can", kind of attitude.

Vanilla iced Americano!

This is by far my favorite Starbucks location that I have visited. I started coming here last summer after starting my new job in Milwaukie. It's located right in the little stripe mall next to the Subway and Chevron. There is ample parking when I visit here before work in the mornings. The interior of the place is just like what you would find in most Starbucks with the usual ambiance and feel. The place is clean and well maintained. The staff is is and friendly. My order has only been wrong here once and when I let the barista know they were quick to resolve the issue. There can be a little bit of a long line so I would highly recommend using the Starbucks App so you can skip the wait. This is how a Starbucks should be with warm, friendly baristas and a well maintained shop.

Clover press!!!

I this location. The clover press is great! A great combo of morning staff and a perfect cup of pressed coffee - you can't go wrong! They keep the place clean, stoked and running like a well oiled machine. And I appreciate the abundant outdoor seating now that the weather is promising!

Super friendly staff with little wait to order. Routinely takes 15 minutes to receive your order. Grossly under staffed.

This location is such a gem and has a completely different feel from their other coffee shop. They serve brunch at this location and it is fantastic, and if you're not sure what to order, get the oats - they're so good, almost like shrimp and grits! The coffee is always on point, but don't sleep on the pastries either. Everything I've tried has been memorable. The space itself is beautiful, with indoor seating, outdoor seating, and even an upstairs area! It's thoughtfully designed, cozy, and a great place to bring your laptop if you work from home and get some work done with their free Wi-Fi. What really makes this place special, though, is the people. Brittany, the owner, is one of the kindest and most welcoming people you'll ever meet. She remembers her customers, genuinely cares about the community, and creates a space that feels warm and inviting every time you walk in. This is exactly the kind of local business worth supporting!

It's a beautiful example of an industrial building being used for exactly what it should be. Exposed materials, high ceilings, roasting equipment, and a café that feels connected to the actual work of producing coffee. There's something refreshing about seeing the machinery and craftsmanship instead of another coffee shop built around a carefully manufactured aesthetic. I've spent much of my career in the coffee industry, and I still get excited walking into places like this. Coava has been an important part of the Pacific Northwest's specialty coffee movement, and visiting the SE Grand location gives you a real appreciation for that history. What I particularly appreciate is the emphasis on coffee itself. The space invites you to pay attention to what you're drinking, but doesn't require you to know anything about processing methods or extraction to enjoy being there. Portland has an embarrassment of riches when it comes to coffee, but Coava belongs on any serious coffee itinerary. If you're interested in roasting, coffee culture, or simply seeing a beautiful space dedicated to the craft, make the stop.
