In this particular occasion, I just wanted a tall black coffee without the frills in this Starbucks delivered. You can tell the layout of this means it was something else before it was converted into a Starbucks and while I do not have an engineering background, I don't feel my opinion on its layout would write any sort of credibility ... That being said , I'm a great big fan of coffee so I enjoy the coffee that I had here Customer service is great and I walked away with sweet sweet caffeine. This Starbucks does not need my business. Nor do they care to keep it. On a Saturday afternoon with the drive thru 7 cars deep I tried going inside. Two employees there and no customers in line. Three more employees come out from the back. I'm told I cannot get Blonde toast because they stopped brewing already. So I order whatever else they have and they get it wrong. So they dump it and do not tell me I now have to wait for more to be brewed. I have to ask because I see them brewing it. But NO ONE TALKS TO ME. They don't bother to ask if I can wait now, which I cannot. This Starbucks has the worse record. It is the closest one I have and I will not be stepping foot in there ever again. Well what can you say about Starbucks that has not already been said so I will concentrate on the service primarily. The service at the Starbucks on 147 and US1 always tends to be great. Staff have always been helpful and very kind and I have been coming here for several years now. At times when they don't have an item they provide recommendations for which is always great. Now we all know that Starbucks coffee prices have always been a little steep and recently it seems to me that they have gone up again. Hoping that Starbucks rethinks their pricing some in lieu of the economy and inflation. Ambiance at this location is in typical Starbucks flare but parking is very good as compared to others. May need to work your way around cars waiting in the drive through line which snakes around the building but that should be the extent of it. Wishing you all a great cup of coffee! read more

I haven't checked into this Starbucks much but I've been here several times. The indoors is nice and small but always clean from what I've noticed. This location has a huge outdoor covered area to sit or lounge at. I see the outdoor section is the preferred spot for the regulars. This location has a nice big drive through for speedy convenience, but the parking is a little weird here. As big as a plot of land this Starbucks has you'd think they'd utilize it better. One complaint about this location is when you depart you have no choice but to make a right turn going northbound on US1. Your only other option is to cut through the back Neighboor and go south till the next US1 entrance. Great Cold brews here! I'll keep coming back for that. read more

Made fun of for being patriotic at this store. While we occasionally enjoy Starbucks and the items they provide for us to enjoy I think they need to rethink who they hire and handles the business front. While the food and drinks where ok, I couldn't help but realize that the staff kept on looking at me oddly in between goofing around like little kids, come to realize as I asked for a cup of water on our way out one of the girls mockingly said "here you go Mr America" giggling and looking at the other airheads as they did the same. I simply said thank you and walked away as an adult, I didn't want any of the mentally challenged employees to get upset. I could have easily called HER a rainbow porcupine, or some other stupidity but refused to play the stupid game. At first, I was only going to give this location four stars, but it really needs four and a half...I am giving it five stars. I find it unfair and problematic to review any business without visiting it a few times. I have visited this location oodles of times :) I m confident that my review is valid and earned. I am in Miami for a bit tackling a task; where I am staying (family home) does not have internet. Ok, enough about why I frequented this location; let's move onto my review. This Starbucks location has a wonderful, happy and friendly staff. I love that! It makes it pleasant to spend my dollars and some time here. They have silly conversations, and are attentive to the patrons. This location is clean and well lit, especially by the large, front windows. They have a number of outlets (bring your own charger). They have community tables and individual chairs, as well as outside seating. I do wish that they had outside outlets, can't have everything. What do they offer? If you have been to any Starbucks, you know. If you have been to a basic coffee shop, you know part of what is offered here. Simply google Starbucks or check Yelp for website and information offered. Short list of offerings: (iced and hot) coffees, cappuccinos, lattes, teas and frozen beverages. Most locations have pre-made salads and sandwiches, yogurt and miscellaneous snacks. The one time I went I was quickly served by the cashier, but then the coffee took a bit longer than expected. I didn't actually mind, but since the barista apologized, I guess he probably has received feedback about this... but how can you blame him? This Starbucks has the advantage to have also a drive-thru... but the same barista tends to us inside and to them on their cars. So even though I am the second in the walk-in line, I'm about the fourth customer overall. Aaanyway, I can understand that, no need to apologize. Now, I feel the parking lot suffers from being smaller than it should and there one or two awkward spots, but my guess is that this is also due to the drive through. I do like the option of the drive-trhu... I have not tried it because, when possible, I'd rather get out of the car, but it looks (at least that day) as if it runs smoothly enough. I liked my mocha frappuchino, but then again, Starbucks is a pretty consistent franchise. The difference is in the service, and this was nice, but pretty standard, too. read more

Dear Starbucks of Palmetto Bay, What would I do without you?! From early morning coffee runs to weekend afternoon frappuccino breaks, I need my fix on the regular! The service here is pretty good, and the baristas are usually on point. However, there have been a couple of hiccups with mixups and forgotten ingredients. But hey, we're all human, so who's counting? Plus, you're always willing to fix it ASAP to make it right, no matter what else is happening. The inside is always clean, which I am so OCD about. So it's great that your Palmetto Bay location is spotless. ;-) The drive-thru is pretty quick, as intimidating as the line can seem, which is a plus for me when I am being too lazy to get out of my car (mind you, I live practically next door). My only complaint is that your drive-thru lines tend to block the normal flow of traffic on the side street, SW 148th. I stop here very frequently for my morning coffee on my way to work. The drive thru is fairly efficient and quick. The staff is very nice and helpful. The store itself is very clean and pleasant to come to. The outside seating is alright; I wouldn't recommend it on a hot day even in the shade as we are in Florida. I always get a regular coffee in the mornings before work and an Iced Caramel Macchiato in the afternoons. I'm very sure all that coffee cannot be good for me but oh well. The parking is a decent size, it accommodates a good amount of cars. The food, is good best in the morning before lunch time. The yogurt with granola and fruits is a good energizing snack. The atmosphere is nice, very quiet and good for a study date. I wouldn't recommend it for more than 3 or 4 hours max for studying. I tend to get bored and start ordering food and coffee before I knew it I got nothing done except eat everything they carry. Just FYI the cake pops are pretty good... Try not to eat them all in one sitting. I'll most definitely keep coming back to this particular Starbucks. read more

I have come to this location a few times, my partner's mother lives in the area. The people behind the counter were very friendly, my only complaint is about a situation which made me feel very anxious and uncomfortable. I parked in an open spot up front with my family in the car and noticed an employee looking at us in the spot, I looked around and saw no specific signage about it being any other spot than customer parking. I ordered, then I overheard another employee complaining to the employee I saw outside about how a car took the spot that they wanted and were frustrated, thus the car they are pointing to happens to be mine; mind you, there were many available spots in the parking lot, they just wanted the closest one. Most of the banter seemed lighthearted, so no bother, but they kept going on. They also told their shift manager that they had to wait for that car to move to go move their car in the closer spot, then they kept complaining about the spot and talking about my car, even jokingly saying they were gonna fight someone over the spot, I walked over to start to say something, but thought it was not worth my time to get frustrated over a spot. This experience made me feel very unwelcomed in your establishment, I will not be returning here. So to unpack: maybe the car you are talking trash about is a customer standing next to you. Maybe you, as an employee, shouldn't be taking spots up front. Maybe you, as a shift manager, shouldn't allow your employees to talk poorly about your customers, instead make a more welcoming environment. read more

I went in this morning and payed with a $100 bill, before paying I asked if they can break the $100 and the answer was "yes" my change was $82 which they gave me back ALL IN SINGLES! It is kind of hard to believe that a Starbucks does not have other bills on a Saturday at 11:30AM. Usually I wouldn't waste my time writing a review about something as generic as a Starbucks -- a Starbucks is usually just a Starbucks, like a Subway Subs is just a Subway Subs, or a McDonald's is just a fucking McDonald's (hint, hint) but this particular Starbucks goes over and beyond a lot of the time, so, I'm going to give it some snaps. So, snap, snap Pinecrest/Palmetto Bayish Drive-Thru Starbucks, you're doing a good job. This store's got an awesome sense of customer service and speed. The morning rush here is out of control considering the population of coffee addicts in this area and the utter lack of pointlessly built Starbucks in the neighborhood (you mean there's no Starbucks across the street from another Starbucks? Where do you expect us to find a vortex to hell?????) They greet you here with a smile, get you your order quickly, deal with obnoxious customers with finesse and kindness (and there's a lot of them, you are in Pinecrest), and kindly kick you out with such precision that that lazy Greenery Mall location on Kendall Drive should really take note. And why only 4 stars and not 5? Because it's a fucking Starbucks! Giving 4 stars to a chain makes me cringe a bit, but I'm ranking based on other stores I've been to in the chain. read more

The employees at this location are super friendly, everyone receives you with a smile. It's at a really great location. The reason I give this 3 stars is because of the music. This is supposed to be a coffee shop, not a disco or a bar. The music is obnoxiously loud and it's not pleasant. It is so difficult to study with loud music although it is already super loud in the store without it. I wish they would change the playlist and put something more soothing, like jazz or just chill coffee shop music. I prefer to stay at my house and put a coffee shop playlist on Youtube. read more

This starbucks is a nice treat to have on this stretch of US1. I always stop in when I'm in the area. I love that they have a drive-thru. I'm not a lazy person but it's a nice option to know that you can get your Tall, Grande and Venti creations at the window. When I went, there there was a very cheerful guy answering the drive thru. His happiness was contagious, an immediate mood booster. That's always a plus. My orders have always been accurate and the service prompt. On another visit I went inside the store and proceeded to order my drink. I'm at the pick-up counter and I realized that I had ordered the wrong drink (I wanted a coffee-free drink and by mistake ordered the coffee version). The barista was so kind. We reviewed what I had originally wanted and she made me a fresh drink. Even though I was the one that messed up, there was no fuss, she made it her mission to make me a happy customer. This location offers indoor seating as well as an outdoor area. I tend to sit outside when I see that the indoors is packed.
