Awful service. The frozen drinks taste like whatever they made in the blender previously, unless you claim an allergy; then they'll begrudgingly clean the blender first and give you a hard time about it. Baristas argue with customers about drinks and give attitude when things don't go smoothly from their side (at no fault to the customer). Staff never look happy, tables are dirty, and drinks usually don't taste quite right. If you want a real Starbucks drink made correctly, this is not the place for you. read more

I'd give this Apex drive location in Marlborough, MA 0 stars if I could. They do not care about Door Dashers, which means, they don't care about their customers. This confirmed by a store employee. The wait times are ridiculous. I had an order with one drink and a warmed up muffin. Sixteen minutes later, the order was still not complete, and this was a Thursday morning at 6:40 am with seven employees working. The question is: "What could possibly take so long?" Very rude employees, especially the GM of the location. My advice is this to everyone................there is a McDonald's across the street with pretty decent coffee for about one quarter the price. Absolutely horrible, down right rude and obnoxious service. They have a fair skinned, blond, heavier set woman wearing a handkerchief wrap in her hair working their in front counter register yesterday. Store had 3 other patrons sitting and enjoying coffee and no one in line. My team and I work in the business park so took a break and walked down to get a coffee (5 of us). As team looking at menu this very unfriendly woman scowling at us at register says - are you going to order? She put in our order all under one name started one off throwing down drink here and there calling same name and had two other drinks on counter from apparently a pick up order. My coworker picked up one thought it was hers because all had same even though ordered individually, took drink and realized not hers. So asked kindly for a new lid to be able to give to other coworker and this woman just grabs it and throws it trash and with huff says I will make a new one just wait - which wasn't asked. She puts down another drink and calls same name so co-worker goes up and was trying to read the cups and she rudely says- that is not yours. We will get to your drinks- be patient. I can't believe a store seeking return customers would put someone so rude and abrasive in front of customers. We will not be returning. read more

Service is slow. Whether I order ahead on the app or at the drive thru. Twice I when I ordered on the app I was told to give them more time because I ordered 5 drinks and another time because I ordered a London Fog and they need the tea bag to seep. I understand because both times I was a few minutes early. There were cars ahead of me and the person at the drive thru asked me to wait in the parking lot and drive back around in 5 minutes when it was my turn. Meanwhile, other people who drove up and order got theirs? So, order ahead on the app doesn't matter. If anything you need to wait longer. I ordered five drinks at the drive thru before and I was never ask to wait and drive back around. I was also late to pick up my orders before and had to wait an extra 20 minutes. They constantly screw up orders. Most of the people taking the order will nod in agreement like they understand what you are asking to order but then make it completely wrong. No matter how clearly state what you wanted they always seem to screw up. Most other Starbucks places will write the order on the cup as you're ordering but this place just nods and agrees like they know what you want and then after you pay the grab a cup and try to remember what you ordered off the top of their head which is usually completely wrong. I have ordered something as simple as a caramel Frappuccino with Splenda mixed in for extra sweetness and I would get a look back like I had just ordered monkey brains and the Lady telling the other person making it but they didn't know what Splenda was ‍ go to the one on the other side of town by Home Depot inside the target store they get it right every single time read more

The Bolton Street location does a better job at making exactly what I ask for and doing it quickly and with a smile. And for hot coffee and tea, the was very close to a superior local competitor so I'll go there. Still, when I need a Frappucino fix near the office, this is the Stabucks. What a difference a mile makes. One mile is approximately the distance from this piss poor location to the Bolton Street Starbucks which has far superior service. It's my own fault for giving these people another chance. I have encountered two separate employees who make me want to vomit on their faces. Dramatic? Probably. I'll give the thought as much care and consideration as this Starbucks locations employees give their customers... Very little. One visit they got my coffee wrong and the next tasted awful. I stood at the register upon arrival while a self important manboy was cleaning up his station. From one side of the prep space to the other he walked. Then back. Then over again. Walking past me each time while I stood smiling... Trying to make eye contact. No, "I'll be with you in just a moment" no "sorry for the wait" no acknowledgement. It's rude not to acknowledge a customer. It's rude to simply ignore them. A very quick and simple "be there in a minute" would be enough for anyone. And it would have been more than enough for me. Control issues much? You're a barista. Calm down. I left with my two children, both under 3, and an employee coming in to work couldn't possibly let me out the door before he squeeze his body past me and almost knocking over my child. One hand in his pocket. I was clearly the first one at the door and I held the door for my son to go out first ((little legs and all)) as I balanced a coffee and an infant in my arms. Just came walking through, not in a hurry as if he were late for work - just being a class A dick. I'm not asking for chivalry - just common decency. I can't believe I have to write this ad from Cambridge, MA however my family lives in Marlboro and I write to review their Manager. The Staff at this location is incredible (4/5 stars), but their Manager has earned one star. My Mother enjoys a cup of Decaf in the morning. She's an early bird. There's also a community of early retired walkers who are patrons. The Store Manager has recently decided to stop selling DECAF at the opening hour to discourage these patrons from coming which I find petty and discriminatory. Decaf coffee is still coffee. Marlboro Starbucks is a publicly traded company, not a private club where a Manager thinks they can make these decision without having effects on the community they do business in and the customers they serve. read more

I have been here about 15-20 times since they moved across the street. Location - New site is nicer, with a patio now. parking isn't much better than before. Food and Drink Quality - standard Starbucks quality that you would expect. What is forcing me to consider abandoning this site altogether is the DEPLORABLE customer service! This site is, with no exaggeration, the worst Starbucks I have been to for service. They appear borderline incompetent at times. I recently had a drink prepared incorrectly (Grande cold foam nitro cold brew came out as grande nitro cold brew with sweet cream.) When I finally got the barista's attention, I explained the issue to her. In the midst of my asking for her to correct my order, she turned to talk with a co-worker on an unrelated topic. She literally walked away mid conversation! I then had to flag down another barista to get my drink corrected. She came back a few minutes later (while i was still standing in the same spot with the incorrect drink) and asked "Now, what was the problem?" I told her I was being helped by someone else so she turned to the growing line of customers and yelled, "Who's next?" Never an apology or anything. Mistakes happen, especially with their growing menu of drink items - I get that. I don't need them to grovel or comp the drink, but at least listen and react to correct the situation. It if was only this one instance, I would chalk it up to employee inexperience or something but there are a few examples that I have encountered that make me second guess coming here at all. It's amateur hour here and the staff isn't ready for prime time. The nice new patio isn't worth it. read more

Today after a workout I was in need of a breakfast smoothie. I figured I'd check out Starbucks. They unfortunately don't sell smoothies anymore, but this one person working there was AMAZING!! She offered to blend up the Starbucks green drink and a banana with ice for me. It is delicious and I walked away a very happy customer. I love going to Starbucks but the newer location in Apex is just ridiculous. The baristas are nice and friendly but the atmosphere is that of a dance club. In my opinion, coffee shops should maintain a moderate to low noise level, not blast today's top hits so loud to limit intimate conversations or to be distracting for students attempting to get homework done. I go to Starbucks for the good quality coffee and for the relaxing, welcoming ambience. I came here today to write a paper and can't hear myself think over the insanely loud music. I understand that natural noise level can elevate in an industrial-style building, but c'mon man. Leaving here with a headache and no paper. Probably will not be back. This new location across the street is a disaster. This summer they have hired a lot of new workers and most of them have no clue what they're doing. You know it's a problem when you have to tell someone how to make a drink. I never order without watching the person make my drink so I can correct them. Over half the time they screw it up. (Baristas: If you don't know the drink ingredients LOOK IT UP before starting!) Don't get me wrong--the baristas and manager that came over from the old location are fantastic. I just don't see them much anymore. They are sorely missed. When it's mainly new workers behind the counter it's a disaster. I have started looking for the old baristas I know before ordering. I am also not a fan of the drive through. Those orders take priority so if you go into the store when there are cars in line outside, you can forget about getting your drink anytime soon. You go to the end of the line even if you're there before the cars at the end of the drive through have ordered. This may not be a problem when you plan on staying there for awhile anyway, but if you just want a drink to go forget it. Or, you can go through the drive through--but you can't watch them make your drink. It's a dilemma. I'm giving this location two stars because the old baristas and manager are all fabulous. They are the only reason for the stars at all. If you get one of them, consider yourself lucky. read more

Just went in to Starbucks and was amazed at how dirty it was there. Trash on the floor and sticky tables. The condiment area was dirty and sticky and out of raw sugar. The bathroom was dirty as well with trash on the floor and also out of toilet paper. When your paying $5 for a coffee it would be nice if the place was clean. The bright spot was the cashier who was very pleasant. The woman that called out my name was brisk and had no interest in interacting with people. read more
