I walked in and ordered in the store and noticed that there were people walking in after me and leaving with drinks before me. I soon found out I was not being skipped over as I assumed, they were in fact behind on mobile orders. I could only see 2 employees in the store. 15 mins went by and I was greeted by a younger employee who stated she was very sorry about the wait, she had just arrived and I could tell she was overwhelmed but working diligently to get everything caught up. That is when a customer started yelling belligerent things at the employee. The employee kept a smile on her face, apologized, and explained to the customer that she just arrived and would be more than happy to take care of her order after she finished up the 2 drinks she was working on. The irate customer continued to carry on and it actually made a few other customers uncomfortable and they left to wait in their car. The barista made the customer's drink (it looked delicious) and sat the drink and straw on the counter within arms reach, apologized again, and told the lady she hoped her day got better. The customer took her drink and continue to carry on all the way out the door. I wanted to hug this employee. She stayed professional and focused the entire time. The things the lady was yelling would have made me cry. My coffee was amazing and done correctly. I asked to speak to the manager to praise the young lady but was told by the manager to call cooperate as she did not have time to deal with my concerns.

It has been refurbished to show off its 1800s heritage. They have a fabulous coffee shop and bakery. There are so many choices of coffees and teas that it is hard to limit yourself to one. I usually get one while I'm there and 1 to go. Their prices are better than some of the other named coffee shops. Their pastries are incredible. They melt in your mouth. The blueberry muffin is a big favorite but I love the pistachio pound cake. Honestly you cannot go wrong with anything you purchase. I would love to try a scone but I never get there early enough. They sell out pretty quickly. They even offer art classes in their loft. I recently attended one and was surprised that my picture turned out well enough to know what it was. The artist was great to work with and super patient. This is a hidden gem in downtown Marion, Ohio across from the county building and near the Palace. I wish I had tried it earlier. It is now one of my favorite places to relax with a cup of coffee or tea on a Saturday morning, alone or with my daughter, and do a little shopping. We had a soft pretzel for an appetizer, then a cheese pizza for me and fish and chips for my wife. We enjoyed it all. There was plenty of pizza for me, but the fish and chips was a smaller portion than we expected, but for the low cost, it was very reasonable. The appetizer was necessary to make it a full meal, but we felt it was all worth the price for the value and the quality of food. We didn't bring the kids this time, but quickly realized with the casual patio atmosphere and the kid friendly items like pizza and soft pretzel, it would work well for them to come have dinner with us while we taste some more! In conversing with the owner, he reassured us that they are family friendly, so if we want to bring the kids, we're welcome to do so. We look forward to bringing some friends and our families back!

I had a coupon for a buy one, get one free, any size iced or hot coffee. Nowhere and I mean. NOWHERE. Does it state by using the coupon you cannot get an iced coffee with flavoring in it. In fact, we used the same type of coupon when we were there two weeks or so ago, and we were able to get a mocha and caramel iced coffee each, no hassel or anything. Whoever was on the drive thru needs to be retrained on her station because she was not only combative about our order, she started treating us like we're stupid. I'm tired of being treated like I'm stupid by businesses I supported during the pandemic, after the fact. I probably won't return.
