Caribou isn't my fav coffee in the world but it's the closest * coffee shop in my new hood ("only"…read more20 mins away by bus). I have been to this location a few times and my boyfriend grabs a drip coffee here on his way to work quite frequently. On one trip the kid manning the register was clearly very new and it took him approximately 10 mins and 100 pushes of buttons to ring up our 2 drinks. It was kind of unbelievable. Then he didn't (know he was supposed to) serve my boyfriend's drip so that took even longer than my latte. That is the worst the service has ever been... Not rude or bad, just frustrating and inefficient. I was also here earlier in the week and noticed that most of the tables were covered in crumbs. I was there for 2 hours and it got slow and there weren't very many customers so the staff certainly could have taken the time to wipe down the tables. But they didn't. It is located in Mapleridge Mall so you can get some other stuff done if in the area. This shop has a fireplace, which will be cozy and lovely very soon. I always like Caribou's branding, it is cute and clever. But boy do I miss Seattle -- for both the coffee and the dense, walkable neighborhoods -- these days. *There is a Christian place down the street but it has irregular business hours and I think you only go there if you're in AA

The Wild Bean Coffee shop shares a storefront and bathroom with 350 Degrees Bakery so I'd recommend hitting both up if you are in the area as a 2-for-1 adventure. The Wild Bean serves a small variety of breakfast and lunch items along with standard espresso drinks. Similar to many coffee shops, there are rotating seasonal specials. For my breakfast, I opted for the egg sandwich and added cheese, salsa, avocado and sausage. I picked sourdough as the bread. It was the perfect size and came toasted. My sister ordered a turkey panini and it was bigger than the breakfast sandwich and served with potato chips. Our service was extremely kind and considerate which aided to the interior charm. I adored the decorating, small gift shop towards the back, plants and exterior patio seating for warmer weather. For my drink, I ordered a hot chai tea latte and it was perfect. The storefront offers board games and complimentary water. I look forward to returning! Thank you!

Great selection; I spotted a couple of records that I don't find often. And they have cassette tapes! I am very much of the cassette tape generation and I can confirm that those janky little rectangles don't have the same nostalgia appeal as big, pretty disks, but it's cool that they are offered! If you are just interested in checking out a record store I think you'll be satisfied here. But I like coffee shops and I loved my coffee and my breakfast sandwich. I got the Caramel Creme Brulee latte which was delicious. They even singe the top like a real creme brulee! It sounds like it will be too sweet but it isn't; great flavor balance with the coffee flavor not being overtaken. They sell a variety of beans as well. There is a nice sidewalk patio area, and it's a comfortable, chill hangout spot in this lively urban neighborhood. I like it very much here!

The record selection is amazing with a great mix of new and used records, plus a super fun section of $2 records where you can fill a bag and find some real gems. The coffee is excellent. The breakfast sandwich is house made and prepared fresh for you, and everything we tried was delicious. The caramel brulee latte is truly something special. It has a full cap of caramelized sugar on top and is honestly exquisite. Service is outstanding. Friendly faces, quick service, and such a welcoming, comfortable atmosphere. There are lots of seating options and plenty of natural light, making it a great place to hang out, relax, work a bit, or browse records. Overall just a fun, feel-good spot that combines great coffee, great music, and great people. One of those places you leave already planning to come back.

It's possibly the best location geographically within the Twin Cities. The owners have recently expanded the game space to include the old dry cleaners behind the store ... more tables for the miniatures gamers ... yay! The staff are very helpful. There's a plethora of new games inventory, including dice, paints, and other do-dads that any gamer needs or wants. There's an amazing selection of snacks, drinks, and ice cream at a reasonable price. The Cafe Menu is also very good and priced well. Sadly, I will be leaving this part of my life behind, moving out of state. I will miss the friends and acquaintances I've made, and people I meet whenever I'm here. Lastly, this place has become a home away from home every Saturday I'm in the store. Thanks Mike, Craig, and BGC Staffers.
