The employee couldn't even walk over to have a normal conversation with me just yelled across the room full of customers. And no one helped me. I utilize the drive-thru a lot, because it's conveniently located close to some of my monthly errands; however, the customer service is always lackluster. Never a please/thank-you or any enthusiasm from the associates working the drive-thru line. And to make matters worse, last time I came here I ordered a Bacon-Gouda breakfast sandwich, which to my surprise had no bacon! I went inside and got this fixed, but after waiting in line at the drive thru, the last thing I want to do is U-turn, come back to Starbucks and then wait in line inside to explain my situation. read more

I frequent this Starbucks because it's convenient on the way into the city and because it's the only one around. Service is always poor but you put up with it. Today I went inside instead of driving through. Parking here is impossible. I had to park in the Walgreens lot. I ordered a regular freaking latte. There was only one person making drinks while others were working on filling supplies. The drive thru wasn't THAT busy but someone ordered a lot of blended drinks. My latte cup sat and sat. In between 2-3 blended preps the server would move my cup closer to the espresso machine. There's nobody ahead of me inside the place. 3 minutes later she filled the frother and started it. 2-3 more blended drinks. I ask for my money back. The server snaps at me and finally my cup has espresso. She snaps again and dumps the milk in my cup and slides it to me. After 10 minutes I have coffee. I'm back at the car, taking a sip. This isn't a latte. It's warm milk. It has some color but the server definitely only put 1 shot is espresso. Major disappointment. This place is lucky there's no competition. They either need to staff up or get it together. read more

The last time I checked money isn't WHITE OR BLACK IT'S GREEN AND IT DON'T DISCRIMINATE, I dread coming to this location for a cup of coffee because the customer services an atmosphere at this location is horrible, I hate playing the race card but I have no choice when I come to this location and see how other customer get treated compared to me. I can't say I have ever had a bad experience here. I usually prefer to go through the drive thru but on my latest visit I did go inside. The only thing I can say about this place that bugs me (like many other places) is that people sit and lounge for hours on their computers "working" taking up seats. I've been coming to this location side it was built, years ago, and have had almost none of the issues others have had. The staff has always been friendly, and I've never seen it unclean on the inside. It's one of the only locations with the drive through open until 11 on weeknights (most close at 10) and even at 10:59, they are still happy to take an order. I do agree that the drive-thru is awful at this Starbucks! I gave up and just went into the store. I was in line for at least 15 minutes last week and it was at a standstill. Maybe the customer was ordering too much for a drive-thru. My suggestion is that if you have a larger order, please go inside. It's just a matter of being considerate of others. I only gave it two stars because it's Starbucks and I do like their coffee. Especially a nice black-eye non-fat misto on an early Sunday morning with the kids. HOWEVER, mistos apparently aren't picked up by the baristas in the drive through line as the man told me this morning after waiting for over 5 minutes while all the other drive thru drinks continued to pile up by the window. This place has consistently been one of the worst Starbucks I've been to. Service is incredibly slow in both the drive thru & when ordering inside. The parking lot & drive thru set up aren't the best, very inconvenient. When inside, it's really hit or miss if it's clean. Regardless is it's busy service is just slow. The music playing is set too loud as if to run people out looking to relax inside. Workers act as if they don't care about their work/job & look like they'd want to be anywhere but there. Also be cautious when going at night. Even though the hours list closing at 11:00 PM, there's been times I've shown up before 10:30 PM with the door locked & employee cleaning up. Usually by the time I get back to the car they shut the lights off to avoid business. Want better Starbucks service? Go next door to Walgreen's & buy a canned or bottled Starbucks drink. read more

Waited about 30 mins for my drink, they knew I was waiting patiently for my drink. I went up finally to see where my ONE drink was...I'm pretty patient and understanding. Horrible! The customer service is absolutely terrible at this Starbucks. Stay away!!! Eric Sandoval an employee there should be fired. He has no business being in an establishment that has such high prestige. All i was asking for was to have my iced green tea latte to be shaken. He refused, I asked for the manager another 20 something year old and he basically took his employees word over mine that Starbucks can and will shake an iced green tea latte. This is not the first time that we have had issues with this location, it's just the first time that they were above and beyond rude. Long story short the barista at the Lagrange location made me my amazing new favorite drink and specifically said for me to ask for it shaken. The Lyons location Eric and another boy refused to shake it for me and the manager was no help. I need to give a wonderful review for two people in particular that work here. Teresa and Crystal! These two ladies are the ONLY ONES that make my drink perfectly each day for almost 3 years, they also have a venti cup of ice ready since I drive far my drink gets watered down so I get ice on the side. I use my mobile app and every other Starbucks I have to add the stuff I requested... here I know if either of these two ladies are working, I have it PERFECT and even a cup of ice waiting for me to run in, grab and go! This Starbucks is the most convenient cafe in the area. The drive thru is speedy & the staff is AWESOME! Inside the store is real clean (even the washrooms) and theres always someone outside picking up trash and cleaning the windows. Always a long, slow line at the drive-thru. It doesn't matter the time of day. This is the only Starbucks within miles - none on Ogden for many miles. So it's all a cluster trying to get a simple black coffee. It's also difficult getting back on the road from this location - no left turn onto Ogden. Love Starbucks but not this location. Too busy. Doesn't matter which way- inside service or drive-thru- takes forever. Also, parking, if you do want to go inside, is usually packed. Wow. What WHINERS! I've been coming to this Starbucks at least 3 times a week and have absolutely NO complaints about the staff. They are extremely friendly, they know what my order is before I get to the register, they joke around with me, and love my kids! Maybe if some of the complainers would get a simple cup of coffee, instead of some kind of "specialty drink" at the drive-thru, then they wouldn't be such whiners. Listen - how YOU like your coffee may not be how everyone ELSE likes their coffee. It's a subjective thing. If you don't like how it is in the drive-thru, go the heck inside and add the "extras" yourself, lazyass. If I had to complain about something, it's that it's kind of hard to find a seat, especially since they renovated the place. In my opinion, it didn't even NEED to be renovated! It's too dark now, and the tables are impractically sized. In the morning, there seem to be a lot of "freeloaders" using the space as a hangout, rather than a place to have a cup of coffee, do a little work or meet, then leave. I'll come in, have my cup, do some work, and the same group of guys are there when I came in as when I'm leaving! As far as neatness? If people weren't such friggin' slobs, and were a little more careful about how they doctor-up their coffee, or how they leave crumbs all over the place, then it just might not be as dirty! Pick up after yourselves! If you spill half & half, or Raw Sugar, or whatever on the condiment station...WIPE IT OFF! Jeez...the garbage can is a hole in the MIDDLE of the counter! I've made this starbucks a frequent haunt of mine since moving to the west suburbs. I'm seeing a lot of criticism in these past reviews, but I've been to this location at least twice a week for the past 10 months, so probably over a hundred visits, and I've never had any issue with drinks or disgruntled employees. I love the sofa and the general layout, and the ample and accessible parking available. My only complaint is that at time the internal temperature is too cold, and every once in a while they'll closer earlier than their posted hours. But the drinks are always good and on time, you see a stready stream of regulars (myself included) and patrons are generally not too loud or inconsiderate of neighbors. It's a cafe, not a library, so some noise is expected. And yes, I'm one of those people who camps out for hours, but thats what I come to do, to work and read and get things done. Its ridiculous to expect employees to shower you with beaming smiles all the time, to pamper you with blandishments every single time you come in. They do that at other starbucks locations I've been to and I derive no extra pleasure from that mode of operating. Most employees at this location are friendly enough to say hi with a smile and thank you, and that's good enough for me. This is not a four star restaurant downtown. It's a cafe. Be real. read more

Two starbucks in the area, this one and 1 at North Riverside mall, which i refuse to go to....plus they are only open for "mall hours". So if i want starbucks this is where i have to go. The baristas here are AWFUL!!!!!!! Have NEVER got my drink right ONE TIME! I order a grande iced whole milk chai.........4 pumps chai, fill milk to line, fill glass with ice. How hard is that??????? Yet everytime i get one from this location, it tastes watered down, or too much milk. Drink is never even the proper color brown. HORRIBLE read more

This Starbucks is a-ok. Sometimes the drive thru takes forever but there is no other store nearby so what do you expect? Order ahead using the app and then pick it up inside the store if you're in a hurry. It's clean inside and quiet enough to get some schoolwork done. The staff are nice. I've been a Starbucks customer for quite a few years and have visited many other locations but I this one is truly the slowest I have ever been to. I've stopped by there three or four times over the last few weeks and each time the service was unbelievably slow. The employees engage in the most random conversations and, like one of the previous reviews states, do not seem to care about their job at all. I have never written any reviews before but just couldn't help myself after waiting for almost twenty minutes for a drink. This Starbucks suffers from having been the only one in this coffee desert for too long. There are finally other options, namely the one on 17th Ave. I cannot tell you how many times I have gone through the drive through only to find something wretched and wrong about my beverage, from way too much half n half to actual grounds at the bottom (the horror!) The attitude of many many of the worker bees at this location leaves much to be desired in the customer service department. The straw that broke the camel's back - I always bring my own cup and let them know at the drive through that I have my own cup. What do they do at this location? They fix the beverage in their cup, pour it into mine when I arrive at the window and then throw the original cup in the trash. read more

Have been going to this location for years and have never had bad customer service like I did today in the drive thru. I was Cut off by a man that wasn't paying any attention of his surroundings other than his phone and he decides to lie in order to get free coffee and when I explained what happened all the manager and employer could say was we don't have cameras and I'm sorry. I understand they probably hear everything in the drive thru but when I tried to let them know what happened and that others behind me can tell them the same thing the manager didn't care at all, completely unprofessional she was. I've been coming here since I first moved here. Usually the service is good. The staff in the morning in the drive-thru are usually very upbeat and friendly, always smiling. Lately I've been coming here for their fall drinks and they never have their popular syrups in stock! Very disappointing. Why advertise it if you do not have it? Then they tell me they will have stock the next day, I come the next day and they don't have it again. They also are always out of their fall muffins and cakes! There is this young nerdy looking guy in the evening drive-thru who usually as an attitude. He is dark skinned and wears glasses. I've been charged different totals different times for the same drink. The bad part about this is once you are in the drive-thru you are stuck! You can't get out. There can be a car ahead and or behind and you can't back out! You have to stay there even if you can't order anything because they don't have anything. I don't even get an apology or they don't even offer me a free drink for my troubles! The inside is dirty, the tables look as if they haven't been cleaned. The evening staff are unprofessional. Sadly, this place is close to my home but I will not be returning. read more
